Pre-action action solo

28th April 2025, the school grounds
The chorus of doors slamming open filled the quiet corridors, muffled voices now loud yet far from clear, all coming together in an excited buzz when the students filtered out of their classrooms, a mass of black-robes and pointed hats moving towards the Great Hall where lunch was to be served. Noone noticed that a small Ravenclaw slipped into one of the girl's loo's, pacing there, back and forth on the white tiles in sync with the drip, drip driping of drops from a leaky faucet, only sneaking out minutes after the rukus quieted down.

Keeping near the walls, Sabrina quickly continued through the halls and down starcases to the ground floor, the smooth floors under her feet soon exchanged for dirt and grass as she made her way outside. It was only once she was far enough not to be noticed from the courtyard entrance that she let herself look back over her shoulder, hand slipping into her pocket to fiddle with her wand, both signs of nerves she had previously tried to hide to avoid any suspicion.

It wasn't as if she hasn't done something similiar before, hell, she's even been doing it often enough to develop habits for sneaking around, but this time it was riskier. This time, she had to perform some magic - literally. The thought of it made both nerves and excitement bubble up within her, bringing a small smile to her lips, fingers tightening around the wooden channel for magic in her pocket. Soon enough, she saw the place of her interest: a small shed nestled by the side of the castle. A broom shed. Next to it, stood a bit of a more problematic place, the Flying professor's office.

The raven slowed her steps, automatically crouching to make her frame even smaller than it naturally was, just in case someone was around even though she doubted they would. She had planned to exacute the heist at lunch time precisely for that reason - less prefects and professors lurked around. Forcing her gaze from the office's doors, she instead focused on the shack doors in front of her, trying their handle. It was locked, which she had suspected but winced at nonetheless, because it meant one more spell. Feet planted in a grounding stance, wand pulled out and ready, she took a deep breath. She had practiced enough, more than that. Still... not sparing it one more thought she raised her arm, casting the unlocking spell: "Alohomora!"

A click sounded at the same time of her exhale, the doors opening when she tried the handle this time, leading to her smile widening. One spell down, two more to go. Shutting the doors behind her, careful not to make too much noise, she had to cover her mouth so her excitement wouldn't come out in a form of a tense laugh at the sight. Stacked against the walls were the school brooms, polished handles with time ruffled bristls that guided so many first years through their first flight. Guided her. Wand pointed at the one nearest to her, she wasted no time casting her next spell.

"Reducio!"

This time a shaky laugh passed through her lips as the broom shrinked to the size of her palm. Scooping up the delicate miniature with care and love only those who understood the wonders of flight could posses, she wrapped it in a handkerchief and stored it in her pocket. Handkerchief - how fitting. With more confidence, she repeated the process with another broom, only hiding in another pocket, just in case. Adrenaline rushing through her body to a point she almost vibrated, she slipped through the doors again, her last spell of the day used to lock it behind her, covering up her crime.

If not stopped, she would sneak back the same way she came, going to lunch as if nothing happened.

Since she is breaking into a shed next to the Flying Professor's office, I though it appropriate to post here - please correct me if I am wrong and I'll repost elsewhere
