History
The Early Years: 1987-1990

Reducio
June Maeve Rotanski was born to Maeve and Finnegan Rotanski December 6th, 1987 in Neston, England. Her father had a falling out with his side of the family many years before. Despite this, June was often visited by two of her cousins on her father's side of the family: Daisy, who was four years older than June, and Annie, who was two years older.

Many a day was spent with the two older girls playing with their younger cousin. There was never any issue or reason for concern. Daisy was a rather mature child for her age, and kept her little sister and cousin in check.

One memorable day, less than a week after June turned three, the children were playing in the yard. June was occupying herself with a thin and rather brittle stick, swinging it around haphazardly. It was only a matter of time before she accidentally stuck one of her cousins, causing the stick to snap. June, upset, tossed the half of the stick she was holding away, and started crying. Daisy took it up herself to comfort June, while Annie fetched the stick, hoping to convince June that she could still play with it. However, when Annie found the stick, it was whole again. She brought the mended stick to June and Daisy, where June took the repaired stick and happily began playing with it again.
First Sister and Hogwarts: 1991-1998

In the spring of 1992, Maeve and Finnegan had their second child; Donna Finnegan Rotanski. June suddenly found herself with a younger sister. Maeve and Finn did their best to make sure the girl was well prepared, and understood what was going to happen before Donna was born. Despite not quite yet being three, June immediately sprung into action as an older sister. She shared blankets, toys, and attempted to share food with little baby Donna.

Donna was five, and June nine, when Donna experienced her first instance of accidental magic. June had been busy with a tutor, memorizing history facts, when Donna got very annoyed that she was being ignored. In extreme upset, Donna screamed, and the books from a shelf behind her went flying off. June had barely managed to pull Donna out of the way to avoid the barrage of books. It was then that June truly realized that having a younger sister was more hassle than she originally thought.

Growing up, June took more interest in her studies, in spells, in potions, any magic or history she could get her hands on. She excelled in her studies and her became a favorite of any tutor she had. And as much as June focused on her education, she also paid attention to her little sister. Which was how June noticed Donna start talking to snakes. It was never anything big, a small conversation Donna couldn't understand here, a snake coaxed out of the house there. But it was enough. June didn't question it.

As Donna grew bigger, discussions of moving the family started. Maeve made enough money as an Auror for it to be a viable option. And soon, it was reality. June was nine, and Donna seven, when the Rotanskis moved to Parkgate.

Life was relatively uneventful until the last days of November, 1998, a week before June's eleventh birthday. Not only was Maeve with child again, but June got her letter to Hogwarts!
The School Years: 1999-2006

Reducio
The ever studious June stepped off the first year boat with only one house in mind: Hufflepuff. It was her father's house, and his sorting was the one that sealed his fate when it came to the relationship with his family. There was exactly one house that June would never be able to stand being sorted into. That being Slytherin. It was her luck that, while she failed to get sorted into Hufflepuff, she avoided ending up in Slytherin. Instead, June fell into Ravenclaw, the house of her mother and maternal family.

Three days after June was sorted, after she had accepted her fate as a Ravenclaw, June received an owl announcing the news of her newest sister: Lea Rotanski.

It was exciting, going home that Christmas and getting to see the new baby. June already loved the pudgy infant, and Donna was even more interested in little Lea. June should have known by the glimmer in Donna's eyes, that those two were going to be a force to be reckoned with once Lea was a bit older.

June remained rather isolated socially, preferring books over friendships. Her teachers enjoyed her company, and she excelled in all her classes. Every holiday and break, June returned home, spending time with her parents and two little sisters.

By the time June was in her fifth year, many things had happened. Lea started talking to snakes, just like Donna, on top of having her first instance of magic. Don had gotten her letter to Hogwarts and was joining June on the train, and their mother had stepped down as an Auror Commissioner and instead looked into classes for being a healer.

Donna wound up as a Slytherin, and through that, the paternal side of the girls' family decided to make themselves known again. June was suddenly introduced to more cousins than she knew what to do with, and was able to see Daisy and Annie outside of just school.

On top of the added familial interactions, Donna started making friends at Hogwarts, which meant June was spending her free time surrounded by a gaggle of first years from all number of houses. Donna formed her own little group, including two Hufflepuffs. Which meant that it was those three that June spent more time around.

Already, June had spent most of her life looking after her younger sisters, but suddenly, there was a whole repertoire of younger children she was looking after. Not that she was complaining. June liked being able to answer their questions, help with their homework. Even if she did have peers to talk homework to, they would be on her level. Donna and the badgers were quite the confidence boost.

The following year saw June as one of Ravenclaw's prefects. It was a role she was incredibly proud of, and was celebrated by her parents and sisters. Most every aunt and uncle still didn't bother paying June any attention, just Donna.

Yet another year passed, leaving June in her last year, as well as chosen for head girl. She graduated top of her class, and started almost immediately for a career as an Auror, like her mother.
The Auror Years: 2007-2010

Reducio
Maeve Rotanski was a renown Auror for decades, ending her career in 2000 as a respected commissioner. June wanted so desperately to follow in her mother's footsteps. She got into training as soon as she graduated. It went well. June was skilled at spell casting, and protection was ingrained into her very being. She took to being an Auror like a duck to water.

Such a job got June a closer look at the inner workings of the Ministry. It made sense to June, and looked far more intriguing than her job as an Auror.

June remained an Auror for two years, with a job at the Ministry becoming more and more tempting every time she looked. One day, she decided to finally stop watching through a window, and took action.
The Ministry Years: 2011-2024

Reducio
Of course, June needed to start from the bottom again. Simple paperwork, running errands, all the basics. It was easy going those first couple of years working under the Ministry.

Once she had proved herself, June was able to work her way up. Support staff for the Minister. June never told anyone directly, but she hoped that, perhaps, if she put enough effort into this all, she could become the Minister for Magic herself one day. The Rotanski name was not the biggest, but it surely wasn't anything to sneeze at. Her own hard work, backed with her family's name, might help her secure such a position.

June worked tirelessly for years. She went from simple support to an advisor, just one step away from the top. She only needed to work a little harder, a little longer, and June would be right where she felt she needed to be.

Or so she thought.
Hogwarts: Take Two: 2025-Present

Reducio
After the 2025/2026 school year had already started, June received a letter from Hogwarts. Her first and most immediate assumption was that it had something to do with her niblings, who had just started their own journey in the magical school. After a quick visit to Donna, where they both read the letter together, it seemed June was wrong. Her hard work had garnered a different kind of attention, and June was persuaded to heed the call.

And so started a new chapter of June's story.

June's other nibling. Hecate's more responsible twin sibling. And yet, Pyce can cause just as much, if not more trouble if they put their mind to it. An avid lover of muggle culture, Pyce tends to falter at the more magical, and is comfortable in the more physical realm of magic. They are skilled at Herbology and Potions in a way Hecate is not.
