Morning, with a slight breeze
Private to @Preston WoodblumRuby made her way down to the grounds. She carried a book with her, planning to read alone. It was Valentine's Day and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with any of that stuff. Walking past any couples that may have been kissing, she came to an area where she figured that no one would look. She didn't want to be found and disturbed. It was the morning, as well, so most people weren't doing much yet. Classes hadn't started and it would be a chance to have some peace and quiet before the celebrations of a romantic holiday began to invade her classes and most aspects of her life.
At least it was only for a day. Just one more day that she had to get through. No problem, right? She opened her book and began reading, starting to lose herself in it before she glanced up for a moment to check that no one was near. Reassured, she resumed her activity, no longer paying attention to anything or anyone around her. A slight breeze tugged at her brown hair, blowing a strand into her face, which she quickly brushed away. She pulled her robe tighter around her to act as a defense against the cold. It wasn't too bad, and it certainly beat being inside with the lovebirds.~ * ~

Keep Your Enemies Closer
Valentine’s Day. It was one of Preston's favorite holidays. At least for today anyway, since his genius had come up with a brilliant plan to seduce his soon-to-be partner Ruby. Preston made sure to check his pocket for the card, after feeling its papery folds and notches he pulled his hand out and continued to think about Ruby. Her hair, her cunning eyes, everything about her made Preston's stomach flutter. "Ruby," Preston let the name roll off of his tongue slowly, and he let himself sigh happily upon hearing the name. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
Preston wasn’t entirely sure where Ruby was, so he made his way to the grounds. The grounds was where he had first met her, and he hoped that with his luck he could find her there again. As he was walking his fixed his hair and his tie, making absolute sure he was going to be perfect for the lovely Ms. Ruby. Then finally after passing a few other lovebirds, and some shrubs, he saw her.
It was a slightly hidden space, but Preston could find that girl anywhere. It was true love after all. Before approaching her he made sure he was a sexy as possible, but then watched her for a moment. She was pulling her coat over herself, and fixing her hair. Oh! And she was reading. Preston wasn’t a huge fan of books, but he could at least use this to converse with her. Then he would execute his plan.
Preston approached her slowly, and coyly. "'Ello. What are ya reading? Mind if I sit down?"
