It was about 7 in the eavining, and Lamik fillestar was walking through the empty halls of Hogwarts on his way back to his dorm rooms. The boy, extremely tired from a completely sleepless night and a difficult day full of homework and lessons, couldn't wait to get back to his dorm room, collapse on his bed, and fall asleep. Unfortunately, that would require the walk back to the dorm rooms, which the young gryffindor was having a hard time believing that he could even complete. Luckily, he had bumbed into a nice boy willing to give him some candy for a low price.
Supposedly, the nice boy was selling the candy to be used as a valantines gift. Saskia probably wanted nothing to do with him in a romantic way, however, so Lamik really had no use for the candy he had bought other then eating it himself. Taking the sherbert lemon out of his pocket, the boy unwrapped the sweet slowly. He looked at the golden ball for a few moments before raising it to his lips and setting it on his tounge. Imedietly, Lamik felt the sugar doing its work, and just enough energy returned to him to make the return trip be bearable.

A Boost in Energy
It was getting late. Saskia still had homework to do, but instead of doing it like the good student she was supposed to be, she spent it all on Quidditch practice. It wasn't like she meant to practice for so long either, but sometimes, it was too easy to lose track of time. It wasn't like she could keep track of the time while she was busy flying in the air. That was just too much to ask for.
She had to hurry. Her school supplies were probably still in her dorm where she left it, and then she could probably finish everything in her common room before curfew. Not that it would be a problem if she did end up going past curfew. It wasn't her first time burning the midnight oil just so she could do the things she should have done earlier in the day, although it always left her tired in classes afterwards. But with enough focus, she could probably get it done as soon as she could. The common room could have been loud at times, but if the noise was too unbearable, there was also the option of doing it in her dorm. It might have been better that way.
She wasn't in the mood to walk. Walking was too slow and it wasted time that she could have used to finish her homework. Was running in the halls against the rules? It might have been. But she also didn't want to have to get in trouble and waste even more time. So, she settled with speed walking. The corridor was mostly empty now that it was late in the evening, so she didn't have to worry about bumping into people as much as she would during classes.
It would have worked too, but something got in the way. Well, more like someone did. One second, she was half walking, half running her way to the common room, and then she crashed against some poor kid who was minding their business.
"Crap, I'm really sorry about that. I wasn't watching where I was going. Are you okay?" she asked, her words coming out of her mouth like rapid-fire. She hadn't even bothered to look at the person she bumped into. She really hoped they were okay, though. If she hurt them badly, then she might have needed to take them to the Hospital Wing, and that would have also taken up so much more time.

Lamik noticed Saskia right before she bumped into him. His heart didn't even have time to do the little somersault it did every time the two met before he was on the floor. "Ow..." He said, candy still in mouth. "Y'know Saskia, if you don't like me you can just tell me." The boy's tone was light, making it obvious that he was joking. After pushing himself onto his feet he grinned at her. "Where are you headed to at this time?" Maybe he could accompany her to wherever she was headed, Lamik thought, any plans to head back to his common room gone.
Then the attraction started. Of course, not the romantic attraction of a 12-year-old boy, but something far... Stranger. As he looked Saskia over, his mouth couldn't help but water a little bit. She looked good, and good, in this case, meant delicious. The intense urge came in a flash, and kept getting worse the longer he stared at her. And so, without the will to fight any longer, Lamiks hand shot out in an attempt to grab onto hers and bring it to his mouth. If he were successful, he would put the side of her arm against his lips, trying to decide if this really was a good idea.

On second thought, maybe giving a hasty and rushed apology and trying to make a run for it wouldn’t have been a good idea. She was being inconsiderate, and even if her homework was important, owning up to her mistakes was also something she needed to do. Saskia didn’t think she broke anything, or at least she hoped she didn’t, but that didn’t mean she could pat herself on the back for being so careless. Who was to say that the person she bumped into wasn’t going to get mad and waste more of each other’s time by picking a fight? If she was lucky enough, they would have excused her for the accident and went on their own way, and they could both pretend it never happened. But that was only if she was lucky.
It was decided. She would stay for a little while longer to make sure the other person was okay. Not only was it the right thing to do, but she would have only felt guilty if she left them behind. As she steadied herself back on her feet, she looked up to see who exactly she bumped into. Not that she needed to anyway, seeing as they spoke up first. Yep. Leave it to Lamik to make that kind of dumb joke. But that was fine. If there was anyone she would have bumped into, she would rather let it be him than some other stranger who probably wouldn’t have been so forgiving to her. He didn’t answer her question on whether he was okay or not, but he did seem fine, which was good at least.
“You know what they say. Actions speak louder than words. Besides, it would have taken out all the fun if I just told you,” she teased back as she pushed herself back on her feet. Even with her lighthearted quip, her heart was still hammering in her chest. Probably from the leftover panic of having caused a commotion in the hallways.
But she wouldn’t be given the time to calm down just yet. Once she heard his next question, she was almost tempted to run off again. But first, she had to answer him. Give him the decency to have an explanation that he asked for. “I was going to head back to the common room to catch up on homework. I need to get this done as soon as I can, but I’ll see you around.”
She would have left then and there, if it weren’t for the hand that clamped on her arm. Before she could process what had happened, she felt something else. Something that wasn't a hand. As she turned around, she would be presented with the sight of the Gryffindor's mouth on her arm. Yes, he was quite literally munching on it. Maybe even trying to eat it.
She didn’t know what to feel. Confused, worried, freaked out, alarmed. Her mind was still trying to figure out what was happening. Did he legitimately go insane or was she missing something? He was fine a few seconds ago, with no signs of wanting to gnaw on her, but now he seemed to become either someone with a penchant for chew toys and saw her as a convenient choice or a full-fledged cannibal within a short time frame. Who knows? Maybe he was a cannibal this whole time and it was only now that he decided to reveal his true colours. Not that Saskia pegged him to be the type to eat people. Of course, there was the very real and likely possibility that he was under the influence of something. Maybe some potion or jinx. Unusually enough, she wasn't too worried. It wasn't the first time she had been chewed on anyway. If she was being honest, this was a lot better than what she had gone through last time.
Wait. That was it.
This was almost the same thing that happened last time. Except it was in the Masquerade Ball and with a different boy. Compared to him, Lamik was much more tame, but the effects were there nevertheless. That cannibalistic hunger that wouldn't go away with just one bite. And it would seem that the universe itself thought it would have been funny to toy with her one more time. But at least she had a better idea on how to handle this.
"Are you doing okay? You do realize fabric and human meat aren't a good source of nutrients, right?" It was a feeble attempt at a joke, but it had a purpose too. She wanted to gauge exactly where Lamik was at the crazy scale. As of now, he was okay, aside from the main issue at hand, but she couldn't be too sure. How he responded would determine whether she was going to have to use some drastic measures or not. Hopefully it wouldn't have come to that.

it wasn't often that one had the sudden urge to eat someone. In fact, Lamik was almost entirely sure that it was extremely rare. That didn't really stop the boy, however, as the thought of any of his behavior being even mildly unusual was pushed to the back of his mind. All that Lamik wanted at that moment in time was to stay the way he was, with his mouth covering a small portion of the girl's sweet, sweet, arm. Yes, he had heard her say something about having to go do homework and yes, he had listened, but quite frankly, Lamik didn't care.
After a few moments of silence could only be assumed to be the result of shock, Lamik heard Saskia speak up. The words managed to somehow register in his brain, though the idea of it being any form of witty remark was lost to him. Fabric and human meat. Obviously, saskia was wrong. Leather was fabric, and with it being skin, it must have been at least SOMEWHAT nutritional. Along with that, human flesh was... well... meat. The girl, who was very attractive both in appearance and in taste, must have known that it was healthy to eat meat. Though the boy didn't let go of her arm, he grunted in defiance.
