The Ravenclaw Table 2025-2026

Timothy watched the girl. Taking in the details her face and how she held herself. He wasn't convinced that she was confident enough to ask for help when she needs it.
Seems like she doesn't want to be dependent on people.
Timothy took another bite of his food, chewing on the problem of how to best approach Lili Blue.
After a moment he opened his mouth to ask her another question.
"What do you like to do in your spare time? Before you get your letter I mean. Me and my friend Aaron - he's a muggle boy I went to school with - used to read comic books. But he obviously can't come to school here. I think he ended up going to a secondary school near where we live. But it means I don't really know any of the kids here."
Timothy, studiously ignoring the blush he felt rising on his face, tried to gauge Lili blue's reaction to his outbursts.
I can't tell if she just wants me to leave her alone. Maybe I should just let her enjoy her meal. Probably thinks I'm being too needy.
He looked down at his plate and began to push carrots around it, wondering how long it would be until they were to be sent to bed.

The Ravenclaw Table 2025-2026
As soon as the Sorting hat called out Ravenclaw, Charlotte Lorelai Duarte hopped off the stool and walked to the Ravenclaw table with a fast pace. She sat down on an empty spot and smoothed out her now blue skirt.
She glanced around at her table companions but they were all focused on the still ongoing sorting ceremony. The first two years at Hogwarts was simply something she had to overcome. In her third year, her younger brother would join her and solve the loneliness that was treathening to swallow her.
Her french braid that her mother created so carefully this morning was falling out. She reached for the pieces of fallen hair and started braiding them back in the neat braid. While doing this, Charlotte's mind was somewhere else interely.
Home.
Her brothers would be home from primary by now. Probably doing their homework and stealing each others rubbers and drawing smiley faces on them. Her father would have just returned from his work with amazing stories of how exiting it is to be an Auror.
Charlotte's mother had taken the day off to see Charlotte off at the station. She would now be setting the table and adding the finishing touches to the meal. Monday, spaghetti day. Charlotte had been so mad that they got to eat spaghetti and she didn't. With soothing gestures, her parents assured her that the food at Hogwarts was much better than anything they could create.
A loud applause from the entire Great Hall pushed Charlotte out of her thoughts. Her braid was now done and as she started adding the elastic, still a bit dazed from zoning out, the elastic dropped under the table. She sighed and crouched down under the table to grab it, her braid still in her hand.

The Ravenclaw Table 2025-2026
The day of the distribution at Hogwarts.
The strange hat placed on my head then announced the name of one of the houses presented at the beginning of the ceremony: Ravenclaw. It was the house of intellectuals; they loved to read and learn new things. A slight smile appeared on my face. Despite the stress churning in my stomach, I was happy to be in a house that suited me. I made my way to the table where the Ravenclaw members were seated. I was greeted with loud applause. I wished I could disappear into the floorboards. I hated being the center of attention, and I felt myself blushing despite myself. I smiled at the others and sat down shyly. Even with my head down, I followed the other students with my eyes and continued to pay close attention to the Sorting Ceremony. Once the Sorting was finished, dishes appeared before me. I thought it was nice to have magic in my life, but I already missed my family terribly. The girl next to me was much more enthusiastic than I was. I don't know if she already knew about magic, but in any case, she was really happy to be there!Mechanically, I picked up some food and started eating, even though the stress was killing my appetite. To reassure myself, I rolled up my sleeve and started playing with the bracelet my mother had given me before I left. As she handed it to me, she said, "Never forget, every time you touch this little stone, I'll know you're thinking of us. And every time I touch mine, you'll know we're thinking of you."
Remembering warmed my heart, and so I continued eating.

While Charlotte was putting her hair together with the hair tie again, she observed the girl on the right, who was playing with her bracelet. In a very strange manner, she was forcefully putting pieces of food in her mouth. The girl not only had a stunning blue color of eyes, which was even more brilliant than Charlotte's, but she also had very long black hair. She really seemed like a princess from one of the fairy tales that her grandma used to read to her.
Because of Charlotte's insatiable curiosity, while she was eating the food, which was very delicious, she couldn’t stop herself from stealing glances at the girl in a secret way. The girl seemed pretty good; maybe she would become Charlotte’s first friend at Hogwarts! She made up her mind and went ahead and made an acquaintance with this girl.
"Hi! I'm Charlotte Lorelai Duarte. You just got sorted, didn't you?" Charlotte took a deep breath before continuing.
"It was only half an hour ago that I was sorted. Yes, I do find the Sorting Hat quite a peculiar being. It would be interesting if someone did research on that. The time when he just sneaks into our minds and decides where we will be during the most important years of our lives is the time when no one sees him!" She was so embarrassed to realize she was bumbling away to a complete stranger and still waiting for the girl to speak first, and she hadn't even given the girl a chance to introduce herself.
She brings herself together, smiles at the unknown girl, and even her dimples appear on her cheeks.
"So, what is your name?"

I was forcing myself to eat, because I knew my family wouldn't be happy if I made myself sick being away from them. But it wasn't my fault; I'd always been used to living with them. After a while, I finally put down my fork. I needed to calm down; my cheeks were flushed, and I was starting to panic. I had to put my hand back on the pearl and breathe in and out. The first few days, maybe even the first few weeks, would definitely be difficult, but I had to make it through, to make my family proud. It would be nice to be able to help my family with my magic later on. Even though doing it without it is even more exciting. From my perspective as a witch raised by non-witchy parents, I think that doing a job you want to do with magic loses all its magic. I can be a witch but still live without needing magic. To my right, the young girl turned towards me and began to speak. Caught off guard, I missed half of what she said, but I remembered two things. Her name was Charlotte Lorelai Duarte, and she wanted to do some research on the Sorting Hat because she found it strange. Then she stopped and looked at me, asking me my name. I didn't want to answer her; fear was gnawing at my stomach. One thought kept repeating in my head: what if it all started again like it did when I was at school? I thought about it, then decided to answer my neighbor, because Mom always told me to be nice to people who spoke to me. So I answered her in a soft but very low voice:
"My name is Lili Blue, and my last name is Forester. And I'll admit, I don't know much about the history of the Sorting Hat."
Which was completely true because I didn't know anything about magic and I was afraid I wouldn't succeed at all.

The Ravenclaw Table 2025-2026
Having just been Sorted, I quickly made my way to the cheering Ravenclaw table. I knew these strangers were to be my family away from home, but I didn't know how to befriend them.
I was gathered up in a couple quick hugs by upper-class students and guided to sit in an open spot. After the quick welcome, everyone turned to continue watching the rest of the Sorting, and I was left to wonder if any of them would soon become my friends. They all know my name now, but I don't know any of them, except the few first-years that will be joining us during the ceremony.

The Sorting continued for another half-hour, and I tried to memorize all of the names and faces of the other First-years that were coming to Ravenclaw. Soon I would have to start interacting with the people around me at the table, but I didn't know how I was going to break the ice. Meeting new friends has always been the hardest thing for me to do. If I can't do it here, perhaps when it is quieter in the Common Room or the dorms.I have to pay attention now and learn some names. So far, I have heard Daria Astrid Ash, Noa Blackwood, Tina Carelle and Charlotte Lorelei Duarte. I hope to meet some of them after the ceremony.
The Ravenclaw Table 2025-2026
At The Ravenclaw Table
As Azalea walked over to the Ravenclaw table, she looked down and noticed her robes had changed colors to turn into the blue and bronze of her new house. She couldn't believe it. Not only had she made into Hogwarts, she had been sorted into the house of wit and wisdom, Ravenclaw.
Back in the Muggle world, Azalea was sort of a nerd in school, and she felt like she fit perfectly with her house. As she looked around, she could even see a few students reading books while having their dinner, while others conversed with their friends.
The Ravenclaw table had a long blue cloth with a bronze border that ran along its length in the middle of the table. There were numerous empty plates for each student, and a few large plates in the middle. Brushing her hand across the table, she felt a surprisingly coarse texture, although it looked neatly polished. The plates and cutlery were so shiny she could see her own reflection in them.
While she waited for the sorting to get over, she tried to think about what she would be seeing later in her common room. She had read that the Ravenclaw Common Room had an eagle that guarded the entrance, and you could only enter by answering a riddle. As someone who loved reading and solving mysteries, Azalea couldn't wait to answer the eagle's riddles.
Lost in thought, she almost didn't realize the headmaster announcing the feast, and she gasped as the food materialized seemingly out of nowhere on the plates. Roast chicken, pork chops, lamb chops, bowls of sweet-smelling mashed potatoes, sausages, Yorkshire pudding, and so much more. It was unbelievable!
By the end of dinner, Azalea was feeling full, and her robes felt a little bit more snug around her body, but she was incredibly happy at the feeling of having good food and listening in on conversations around her. The chattering and laughter of students around her made her feel like she belonged in this world. A world of magic, witches, wizards, and incredible creatures.
She couldn't wait to see what the castle and this year had in store for her.

After hearing the Sorting Hat's decision that she had been sorted into Ravenclaw, Aurora's mind was filled with conflicting thoughts. She didn't think she was suited to this house that valued intelligence and wisdom.
But the Sorting Hat chose it anyway, so it must have a reason, she thought to herself, I shouldn't worry too much. After those thoughts, she smiled and walked towards the distinctive table, predominantly blue and bronze, which was being applauded by the Ravenclaw students.
Aurora found a seat in the middle of the table. Several Ravenclaw students approached her: "The Sorting Hat took a long time to sort you, much longer than I imagined. It was so hesitant about which house you'd be in if not Ravenclaw!" Aurora replied in surprise, “The Hatstall really takes that long? The Sorting Hat was hesitating when deciding whether I'd be in Slytherin or Ravenclaw." There were murmurs of amazement upon hearing Aurora's story.
Aurora didn't have to wait long for the Sorting Ceremony to be over. Once it was finished, a table laden with delicious food appeared before her. She could only eat, her thoughts racing as she ate about her next steps at Hogwarts. Perhaps she would take many classes, as her greatest desire was to become an Auror and achieve top marks in O.W.L.S. at Hogwarts. Or she could join Quidditch or participate in the Duelling Club. Whatever she did, Aurora thought to herself, she would surely have memorable years at this school.

Ravenclaw table

[Harry Brandor is seated at the Ravenclaw table, still not knowing many people. He picks up a copy of the Daily Prophet while having his second meal at Hogwarts, breakfast on the first day of classes. He looks around; all the students and Ravenclaw members seem to know each other, except for a few who seem quite shy and haven't even shown up yet, and Harry can't even imagine where they are. Seeing a wide variety of food, he takes many fruits, breads, cheeses, croissants (he didn't even imagine he would eat one so early), some sweet and filled pastries, and instead of juice or tea, which sets him apart from most English people, he drinks a cup of coffee, which he repeats immediately after emptying his plate. He seems to eat a lot despite his age and stature. Harry cautiously observes everyone in the hall, students and teachers, learning their expressions, customs, overhearing conversations that end up reaching his ears. He observes people's patterns, their behaviors, their speech, calculates the chances of where they came from, what they like, and their personalities. He also contemplates the Ghosts from each house passing by the tables, Nearly Headless Nick always cordial and charismatic, the Bloody Baron who, just as his father, the former Slytherin, had described him, would most of the time seem dangerous and difficult to get along with, and of course the Grey Lady, whom Harry wondered why she disappeared all the time and rarely saw in the common room.

Today was quite a bright day for Rose who was feeling joyful for no apparent reasons as a smile was plastered on her face. From the Ravenclaw dormitory to the Ravenclaw Table in the Great Hall she was hardly preventing herself from hopping.
Unusually as the other days Rose was slightly hungry this morning and was thinking of whatever she could eat once she will be at the breakfast.
As soon as she reached the Great Hall and entered it she scanned the room to soak up the atmosphere which was always cheerful and giving a warmth feeling. It felt like home. Everytime she was finding herself in this huge room which enchanted ceiling was displaying a different sky according to the time of the day, where the great lights illuminated the place and where the chattering students could be heard Rose could feel how lively this room was.
She quickly glanced at the others tables before making her way to the Ravenclaw table where Rose sit. Nevertheless she didn't pay attention where she sit down as she found herself in front of someone whose head was in one of the issues of the Daily Prophet. Feeling embarrassed and awkward for not having paid attention to where she sit Rose was about to stand up and go finding another seat further when the boy in front of her looked around the Great Hall without noticing her.
Rose was feeling a bit uneasy as she had put herself in an awkward situation. Either she was leaving as the boy didn't seem to have noticed her or she was staying there and starting the conversation. It could be weird if she were changing seat and the boy were noticing her. However perhaps he wanted to sit and eat alone and not being disturbed by some random stranger like she was. What if by talking to him she was indeed bothering him?
Rose couldn't help but overthinking whenever she had to speak to new people. But did she have any choices? Not really as she was the one to sit there when many seat were available.
Plus it could be a nice opportunity to make a new friend.
She breathed in and out before clearing her voice to speak.
"Hum...Hi...Excuse me..Do you mind if I sit here?" she shyly asked although she was already sitting.
"Of course if you prefer to stay alone and read while enjoying your breakfast I would totally understand!" she quickly added almost apologetically worried she had indeed intruded on his time.
“She looked towards the dark, starry sky wishing she could drown in its vastness, the way one drifts in the deep, endless ocean.”
