History/Background Story:

Growing up in North London, Wes had a life like most other boys his age. His parents are muggles, his sisters are muggles, but unlike everyone else, he had a rare gift. When he was a baby, his Grandmother Helena, who was a Squib, noticed he was a Metamorphagus and reported it to the Ministry of Magic. His parents, surprised when they were informed of the Magical World, were assured that his safety was important to them and that Wes would go to Hogwarts when he was of age.

He is the youngest of four children and the only boy that his mother and father, Andrew and Katherine, had. They were a tight family, his mother being a stay-at-home parent while the father was a Cardiologist. Andrew was English, and Katherine was half-German, but had been born in England. His oldest sister, Mary, was five years older than he, while his twin sisters Lara and Mara were just two years his senior. They were great to him, though, despite the fact that his sisters teased him; it was all in good fun. They also loved to get a rile out of him, knowing how his emotions would make him do crazy things. The girls were told a little about Wes' predicament, but not too much. It did not bother him too much. He had friends, too, and played sports, though it was difficult at times due to his being a Metamorphagus and he was homeschooled because of it. The Muggle Liaison Office still had to step in and do Memory Modification a time or two.

However, as he grew older, Wes was able to control his emotions a little better. As well as a child could. His mom also thought it was a good idea to have him wear a cap to hide his hair, which tended to be the part of him that also changed when he was having an emotional 'outburst'. His best friend, Arthur (Artie), was one of the coolest kids around. An exceptionally gifted kid who recently trialed with some professional club academies for their youth programs. Wes’ life was normal, as normal as it could be at least, and he was happy and content in North London.

Eventually, he did receive his Hogwarts letter. His parents were relieved that it was time, as it had been difficult being a Muggle and raising a magical child whose emotions literally made him change. It is not that they were not sad, though; they knew Wes would be going off to a boarding school. When they told him the whole story, about who he was and his magical abilities, they made sure his Grandmother Helena was there to help explain it in more detail. His "normal life" as a Muggle child was officially over.

First Instance of Magic:

One day, when he was 8, he and his sister Mara were playing at a local park down from their house. It was a cold day. A bully, whom they’d never met before, pushed Mara out of the way with a swing. This caused Wes to step up and defend his sister, despite the boy being larger than him. The boy laughed and snatched off one of Wes’ mittens. Wes only stared him down, but the boy pushed him and then turned away from them both and went on his merry way. Wes’ face was blood red, he even started after, and he’d wanted to punch the boy. However, he stopped at his sister’s laugh, confused, he looked where she was pointing and noticed the mitten on his left hand had grown about 3 times its size. Once he saw it, the mitten returned to its normal size, and when he looked around at everyone, it looked to be that only he and his sister had seen the glove grow. The two were surprised and laughed all the way home. When they told the rest of their family, his parents were not surprised because they had been told a day would come when he would exhibit magical talent beyond his morphing abilities.

Wes can be a quiet person, but not always, especially when he is excited about something. However could be an emotional child, despite being timid at times. When he is comfortable, which is happening more and more as he’s growing up, he enjoys joking around and laughing with his friends. He is sarcastic, but most of the time, he means it in a friendly teasing way. He is a competitive child who often gets riled up easily during football matches.

Wes is a slightly taller boy for his age, already looking around 5 feet tall, but lanky, and he looks like he could be older than his age. He has hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair that naturally parts to the left. He has freckles on the bridge of his nose and a small scar above his left lip.
