Leo had woken up early that morning and decided to have a quick breakfast so he could get to the study room to study a little before his first class of the day. He walked down the corridors with his books in his arms. It was still so quiet throughout the castle as the other students were waking up and going to the great hall for breakfast. Only a few students were out in the corridors as he made his way to the study room. As he walked along he went over in his head what he needed to work on before class that morning so he had a plan for when he got there.

When he got to the room, he opened the door quickly to go in, fully expecting the place to be empty like it was most days at this time. But to Leo’s surprise he saw a girl sitting by the window looking out at the early morning sky. He had a quick thought to turn and find somewhere else to study to not disturb the girl but he figured he would be quiet enough if he was just sitting at the table and she didn’t seem to be doing anything loud to distract him either. Still he went over towards the end of the table closest to the girl and cleared his throat to get her attention. “Excuse me, do you mind if I sit over here and study?” He asked the girl, pointing to the other end of the table before the realization hit him, he knew her. One of the girls from his potions class that he was in a group assignment with. “Maddy?” He questioned as he moved to lean his shoulder against the wall to look at her. “What are you doing in here so early?” She didn’t seem to be concerned with studying in the study room so he was curious to why she was actually sitting in the room alone when she could have been out having breakfast and talking with her friends.

Maddy had just been lost in thoughts looking out of the window of the study room when someone asked to sit at the other end of the table.
Still distracted she said, " Yeah sit wherever you want it's a free country." She thought the voice familiar but she was least bothered to look up when the said person called out her name.
Her head snapped up as she looked at the familiar Ravenclaw, "Oh Leo! I didnt expect to see you here. Small castle, I guess."

He asked her what she was doing her at this time, it also made her laugh, "That does sounds a bit weird, I myself didn't think that I would ever be here, especially never at this time."
Like yeah, Maddy would never want to ruin her whole day by going to study first thing in the morning.

Sighing she told him, "Well I just couldn't sleep and when I saw the sun was awake, it was time for me to leave the dorm too."

She looked over at him with books in his hand, exactly like Maddy had imagined early Leo to look like, "What are you studying? Maybe that will be remind me that I have assignments too."

She grinned at Leo glad to have company and peace.
