Meeting the family. Pv sage Miller Closed

Wha- why had she opened it? Now they were gonna search the room! Kayden and Sage had their suitcases on the closet, which contained their wands, and other magical items. The lady looked over at them. "Can I please know what happened tonight?" Kayden looked up at her, then at Sage. What he was about to do would be risky. "Um, excuse me mamn, I need to speak with my friend here a moment,"The lady nodded and closed the door.

Kayden shot Sage a look,mane he knew the woman was listening. He opened the closet, and grabbed his suitcase. They had unpacked some clothes, and Kayden frantically began shoving them back in. He leaned in close to Sages ear. "Look, we gotta leave. Grab your stuff." He didn't know where they would go, only that it would be away from here. He peeked out of the window, and noticed with a breath of relief that nobody was out there. They would have to hurry though, before the police wrapped the tape around that side, and out a guard.

There were neighbors gathered around the house, trying to see what the commotion was about. It was still dark, and the sirens must have woken a lot of people up.

"You can't be serious" she said as she almost yelled at him. "Kayden! They need our help to figure out who did this to Nana. You can go but then I'm staying. I may not have known her well at all, but I loved her, and you do too." She said. But then she thought about it. The wands, their books.

She sighed, knowing that they were in big trouble if they got caught. She packed some of her stuff quietly and looked at him, crossing her arms. It was clear she wasn't happy about doing this. "What's the plan then?" She asked him. "We could make it look like we were kidnapped, make them think that the guy came back to finish us off? We'd have to lock the door and put something in front of it and then mess up the room and make noise but not loud enough so people outside hear it" she suggested.

She had no clue how mentally insane she felt for coming up with that idea. "I have no clue how insane I am to just come up with that idea. This is all bloody mental" she said and sighed, starting to shake again slightly.

He wished he could help her, he really did, but he had to focus on getting them out. Sliding all the stuff into a backpack, he slung it over his shoulder. "I don't know where we're gonna go. Just away from here. And if I've learned anything, it's than children can disappear without a trace." He looked over at her, then hopped on top of the dresser, and jumped out the window, falling the small amount to the ground. By this time, he had changed into jeans, not really caring Sage had saw him practically naked.

He did a 360. It was the dark alleyway, and there was some oil lamps casting an eerie look to the streets. He saw the soft glimmer of the blue and red lights in the distance. Helping Sage jump out, he shut the window behind them. They didn't talk for a while, and they were walking for quite a long time. Kayden didn't know how much longer he could walk for, as he was extremely tired. He walked into a nearby deserted park, climbing a fence to do so. Occasionally he would have to help Sage over some obstacles, but he didn't mind much. There was a semi long park bench, and Kayden sat down. He reclined his feet and said, "Let's get some rest. Nobody's been here in years.'

Sage didn't have time to change, but she wished she had a sweater at least to hide her hair as they ran away. She stayed silent the entire time, not speaking as she couldn't stop thinking about Nana. She was scared for the future, now that they were running away. She just had to trust Kayden and do what he said, since now they only had each other. "The killer could be looking for us. I had a weird feeling of being watched as we snuck out the window." She looked at him, wondering what he would say about her statement.

Sage shivered a lot, since she was only in a shirt and some shorts. Hopefully he had packed all of their important stuff, such as their wands and school books. Also their clothes and robes. Sage started to shake from the cold "we should stop so I can put some better clothes on" she said "did we even grab our shoes?" She looked down. She was so cold and since she didn't have shoes on, she felt like she was going to die out here. She wanted to go into a warm building with a warm bed, but now she couldn't.

Kayden slipped off his tennis shoes and jacket, and handed them to Sage. "Tomorrow we can stop at a shop and grab you some clothes." I snagged Nanas purse on the way out. He held up a beautifully embroidered purse, and set it next to him. He didn't much like holding one of Nanas possessions, but they desperately would need some money. "The ultimate goal is that we get back to hog warts. We need to spend our money sparingly though." He noticed her suitcase. "I really am sorry, but you can't change into robes. We'd be suspicious." He had giver her his jacket and shoes, which came at the price of being extremely cold.

"And I believed what happened tonight was a break-in. Not an attempt at murder. They saw Nana with the the firearm and had to kill her." He wiped his tears off of his face. He desperately hated that it had come down to this, but he would do what he had too to keep Sage safe. And him if possible. He stood up. "I suppose you could be right though. They met not have wanted any witnesses. I'll stand guard, you get some sleep." By this time he was in a T-Shirt and Jeans, and he was shaking like mad.

"I can't sleep" she said and started to cry. She took the jacket off and had him sit down next to her, then she wrapped it over both of them for body heat and he was still pretty warm. She stayed close to him and wrapped her arm around him. Now she felt like if she tried she could fall asleep. She didn't want to leave Kayden, ever. He was too precious to her now. "We can go visit my parents. They may not like me being a witch but I'm still their daughter. They'll let you stay too. She said, she didn't care anymore. But exhaustion took over and she passed out with her head on his shoulder. She had nightmares the rest of the night, and she couldn't help but shake the entire time. Kayden being there helped somewhat, but she just had too much fear and anxiety that she didn't know what to do with it. Plus the never ending nightmares.

She just wanted to get back to Hogwarts but she didn't know how, and the thought of maybe never returning scared her. She missed her friends, and the lake, the food, the warm beds and fireplaces.

The image of his Grandmother on the ground kept him awake, but every so often, he would nod off, then hear screaming, and wake back up. Occasionally, he would hear Sage talking to herself, in her sleep he guessed, and then she would tremble horribly, and wake up with a gasp. He would try to help her fall back to sleep, but he couldn't ignore his own nagging worry. He kept watch, and the only moving thing he noticed was a raccoon digging through some trash. At one point, a woman jogging passed them by, and dismissed them as a cute couple who wanted some alone time. Boy was she wrong.

The sun rose, and Kayden felt his legs becoming less numb. He bounced them up and down, and wondered when Sage would wake up. He would let her sleep all she liked, but they did need to get moving at some point. He felt her arm gripping his shoulder again, a sign she was dreaming f some unpleasant things. He looked over at her face, her eyes red from crying eying, and her hair all mussed from the escape, and from sleeping at the nice bed at Grandmthers house.

It was funny, that seemed like a life ago now. He watched as Sages expression contorted, indicating that the nightmare must be getting severe. He wanted t wake her up, but he knew waking up a person going through a nightmare was a bad idea. He thought about going to her parents house. He doubted they would appreciate or enjoy him being there, but he knew it was the only way.

Sage just wanted to get home. She opened her eyes and she looked like a complete mess. She stood up and stretched. Yawning and looking around. She started walking away from him, grabbing her suit case and walking away. She started walking towards the direction of her town which she didn't know how far it was but knew which direction to go. Sage just walked like a really sad person. Any sign of happiness had seemed to have vanished from her as she walked. Her head was down and she walked very slowly.

Her stomach rumbled but she ignored it. She looked like she was getting sick too, her face was pale and she sniffled due to a runny nose. She didn't know what was happening. She wished they had just stayed there and if the police found their wands and books then she would've wanted the Ministry of Magic to wipe their memories and get them help since it wasn't really their fault, plus they were still pretty young. Nonetheless, it was too late now. She didn't have much of a choice anymore, and she just did whatever Kayden thought was best because she knew he wouldn't put her in harm's way.

"How far away is your parents house?" If it were truly fat away, they would have to take a bus, or maybe even a boat. He had abut 300 dollars in cash, enough for a boat ticket, and maybe a meal or two. Speaking of food, they were going to need some soon. He felt bad that they weren't talking, but he also knew that there wasn't much to talk about. While he wanted to be able to love on her and help her out, he also had his own issues. He would need to get himself over this. He needed to get them to her parents house, then back to Hogwarts. He wanted to seem like he had it all together, and that he could help her out, but he really was clueless.

He noticed Sage seemed a bit paler than usual, and he knew she had probably gotten a cold. They had spent all night out in it, and it would be unnatural for her not to get ill. They really needed to get to her parents house, and fast. A minor cold was fine, but once it starts going downhill, it could be dangerous for her health.

"I don't know, I could call my dad on a payphone" she said and looked around. She took some coins out of the bag and put them in and dialed the number. A man answered, it was her father.

"Papa?" Sage asked.

"Sage? What is it darling?" He asked and sounded genuinely worried.

"Um, do you think you could pick me and a friend up from a nearby town? Something happened and we need a place to stay until we can go back to Hogwarts." Sage prayed and hoped they'd let the two stay.

Sage heard him and her mother talking, or arguing mainly. He said some things like "they are only eleven" and "she's still my daughter and this is my house." Then there was a sigh, it sounded sad but yet angry and Sage's heart dropped. "Stay where you are, I'll be there soon lass" he said.

Sage smiled "thank you, I love you Papa" she felt hopeful again.

"I love you too my darling girl, I'll be there soon" he said and hung up. Sage felt tears stream down her face as she hadn't heard her father ever stick up for her like that. She was still smiling softly as she looked at Kayden.

"He's on his way, we just have to stay here" she said and sat down on a bench.
