Eri put her book down onto her lap after feeling the boy tap her. "Hi Ava, Hi Adam, My name is Eri. Honestly Either Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Yes what is it?" She turns around and smiled studying the boy. She thinks he might be scared of the train. "There is nothing to fear of this train. If you would like you can borrow my book it helps take your mind off of this." She gestures towards the train. She didn't know what was wrong with Eris. Maybe she was scared or thiught she was a hard friend for loosing Ava.
Eri reopened her book waiting for an answer from any of them. She kind of felt awkward since she didn't know many people and she didn't like talking very much. Eri pulled out her wand and did a summoning spell and cameron's creature appeared in her hand. "Excuse me I'll be right back." She stood up and put her books neatly in her seat and walked gracefully on the ground hoping she wouldn't trip over anything. She stowed her wand in her pocket and walked out of the compartment and headed to compartmen 4 to return the creature and get kaegens ball back.

With everyone back into the compartment it was quite crowded, but Michelle didn't mind, after all, these people made her comfortable and she hadn't been comfortable with anybody but her brothers in forever.
With Ava's return with the trolley cart, she was craving some more wizard treats so she grabbed a pumpkin pasty and some every flavour jelly beans and sat back in her seat. She noticed Eris was looking upset so she shot her a sympathetic and questioning look wondering what was wrong. Her attention was then grabbed by the swish of a wand.
Michelle watched as Eri cast a spell and the ball appeared in her hands. How in the world did she do that? Michelle was growing more and more jealous of the magically skilled girl by the minute and almost was feeling some anger toward her parents for not being wizards. She wished she could do all the things Eri could do.
Michelle sighed and shifted in her seat. "We have been on this train for a while, do you think we are close yet?" she asked the group looking out the window and watching the green hills zoom by. "Maybe we should get into our robes," she suggested realizing she was still in her muggle clothes.

She was glad that Eri seemed to consider Slytherin a valid option. Finally a potential housemate had arrived! Then, to Ava’s surprise, Eri pulled out her wand and performed a spell. Ava’s eyes narrowed. That surely was not allowed… how could a first-year perform magic already, before even setting foot on Hogwarts grounds? Was there not a law in place? Secretly, she was kind of jealous. She knew she had to study a lot of spells and charms as soon as she had her first classes, so she would not feel inferior to the others. Eri walked out of the compartment for some reason that Ava was not privy to. She was sure at least something had happened while she had been gone, but she kept silent - it was not important right now.
Michelle suggested getting dressed, and Ava nodded. “I think we have been travelling for rather a long time already,” she agreed. “So it’s probably a good idea to get changed into our robes sooner than later.” She looked around at het company. They were quite the mixed group… “Adam, and… you,” she pointed at the strange kid, realising she still did not know his name. “Would you be so kind to change somewhere else? Oh, but first, can you help me get my trunk back down? It will probably crush me if I try to get it by myself.”

Kaegen reached into his school bag and slipped a wizard's robe other the clothes he was already wearing. He smiled a bit but declined the book from the girl. There was no point in taking it. The last thing he wanted was to forget about it and then lose it somewhere. He could keep reading it over her shoulder, and besides, he was trying to sort out the other thoughts in his mind at the time.
The girl had obviously not been hurt. She had just gone and bought a trolley full of those weird candies. So maybe the other girl had been sad or homesick? Maybe she stabbed herself with a pin or something. Still, it was best to be wary. He didn't want any of the treats, accepting anything from people he didn't know was never a good idea. Especially if that girl really was going into slytherin. Kaegen pulled a piece of string out of his little satchel and started nibbling on the rope. Well, he had this. This tasted pretty good, actually. Grandfather had given him a large supply a long time ago, and they still hadn't gone bad. You couldn't always trust Grandfather's taste, but this one was supposed to be sweet. And it was. With these strings that pretty much meant he won the lottery.
He did, however stand up and easily pull down the girls chest. It was really heavy, but the young boy had spent all his life outside. He had chopped plenty of wood, and drug plenty of trees to the shack. He could handle a chest.

Eri had went to compartmen 4 to return the creature. She returned in her robes and the and was holding Kaegen's ball when she walked into the room. She handed the ball to kaegen. Eri muttered wingardium leviosa and at the trunk and it gently landed in front of her. She put something inside and put the trunk back up."We should be able to see Hogwarts in a few minutes." Eri walked over to the candy cart and grabbed two chocolate frogs. She opened the first one and had the frog in her grasp as soon as she opened the package. She ate it and pulled the card out. She had gotten Luna Love good. In the other package after she ate the frog she had a Hermione Granger card. She stowed them away in her bag and went back to her seat. Casually she put her wand away like nothing had happened.
She smiled and continued to watch out the window and smiled. She couldn't wait to get to hogwarts. The school sounded amazing to her. She reopened her book and read. "That is a great enchantment you put on that ball." She smiled enchanting was very easy for her.

Eris was in a giddy state seeing all the candy and Ava again. Thank god she was safe, and after thanking Ava profusely, she had ran towards the trolley and was looking through all the candy, and shoved as much of it as she could into her mouth. "I've never had seen so much candy!" Eris said after a while, grinning to expose chocolate stained teeth. When the candy haze finally died off, Eris wiped her hands on her muggle clothes to get rid of the stains--after all she wouldn't be wearing them for a long time--and hopped on top of her seat to reach her trunk. T
he small girl puffed and puffed all she could, and finally the trunk fell to the floor with a heavy crash. Looking around, and seeing Kaegen effortlessly grab the other trunk, Eris's face flushed red. "Sorry." She said to no one in particular, feeling guilty for the crashing noise.
Eris knelt down on the floor, opening her trunk and pulling out her robes. She couldn't help smiling, remembering the day she had gotten them and how she had met Adam and Ava. Eris held up the robes than kicked the open trunk into the corner. She was not moving that up again.

Thankfully, nothing terrible had befallen Avalon. Adam was surprised to learn that she had bought the entire trolley and lugged it back to the compartment herself. While he was extremely grateful, he was also a little bit disappointed — there was no way he was going to be able to pay her back now. He had tried to reassure Eris that Ava’s disappearance wasn’t her fault, and the redhead seemed to feel a bit better after Avalon returned, but had a feeling that something deeper had caused this reaction. He’d have to see if she would be willing to talk about it later.
He’d learned the new girl’s name, Eri, and he’d learned something else about her too. She was apparently able to and willing to cast a spell before even arriving at the school! She summoned the other boy’s strange wooden ball to her lap, and the others looked on in amazement. Adam began to feel a bit of distrust regarding the two newest additions to the compartment. He didn’t even know the boy’s name!
Before Adam’s mind could run away with this idea any more, Michelle suggested that they had better get into their robes, and Adam agreed. He hadn’t realized how close to the school they had actually gotten! Everyone agreed that it was probably time to change, and Ava politely asked Adam and the other boy to change somewhere else. Adam nodded and turned to the door, but to his surprise the other boy just slipped his robes on over his Muggle outfit. Amused, Adam watched him slide Ava’s trunk down from the overhead compartment and raised his eyebrow. “Alright, come on,” Adam said to him. “We still need to give these girls a little privacy.”
Placing his hand on the doorframe, about to head back into the train corridor, he turned to the girls and said, “Don’t get into any trouble while we’re gone.” He winked and laughed, and making sure the other boy was following, set out back into the train.

Everyone seemed to agree it was time to change into their robes and when the Adam and the other boy left she pulled down her trunk and rifled through to get her robes. She finally found them and changed quickly, a little shy to change in front of others, although they probably didn't see anything.
As she changed into her robes reality started to set in a little. She really was going to a magic school, on a magic train, with other magical kids and it was slightly overwhelming. She was going to a place she barely had any knowledge of, so it's safe to say she was grateful for the others she met on the train she was feeling less of an outcast.
She stuffed her muggle clothes back in her trunk and locked it up. She heaved it back into the cargo space and sat down with a huff, she had no idea why her trunk was so heavy. With every passing minute, her belly filled with more and more butterflies. "I am so excited, the wizard who picked me up said there would be a great feast," she exclaimed. She wondered if there would be any meals that were magical like the treats.

Eris hummed as she pulled on her robes in the corner, away from everyone else. She really didn’t feel comfortable changing. When she finally finished, Eris threw her muggle clothes into her truck then for the fun of it, hopped up ontop of her truck and started jumping on it to close it. Eris stared down at her robes as she jumped. They were fitted to her but were still a bit too large for eris’s extremely small build. It was either too big robes or children’s robes, and Eris did not want children’s robes. She was 11 after all and that was practically grown up.
Hopping off her truck, Eris looked around the compartment an idea forming in her head. She kept searching the cabin, looking for hiding spots. “What if we hide from the boys when they come back in?” Eris voiced out loud, still searching for hiding spots. Maybe they could climb up and hide in the over head luggage rack and jump out and scare Adam. She would pay good money to see Adam scared. Eris did love to prank people, but was it okay to prank your friends? Eris really didn’t have a clue about what you were supposed to do with friends.

Adam had found an empty space to change into his school robes and now threw them on, making sure everything looked relatively neat and presentable. He turned to Kaegen, who hadn’t needed to change, and exclaimed, “Look at us! We’re real Hogwarts students now.” Glancing out the window and the passing hills and fields, he checked his reflection once more and then realized that he still knew next to nothing about the dark-haired not boy in his compartment.
“You know, I never found out what your name was,” he continued. “Or rather, you never told me what your name was. While Adam was glad to simply have the opportunity to make so many friends and acquaintances in the first place, it didn’t mean that he didn’t care who they were. Ava and Eris had proven themselves to be nice and trustworthy enough, and Michelle was well on her way, but he was still mostly in the dark about Eri and this boy. He didn’t know how he should feel about them, or how they felt about him. The only thing he knew was that they seemed to be fairly practiced in spellwork already.
He waited for the other boy to answer and thought about what he would do when they got to Hogwarts. He wasn’t sure if it was still traditional for first-years to approach the school by boat, but he kind of hoped so. It would be an incredible experience. They had to be getting close by now, so Adam assumed he’d find out soon enough. For now, he could focus in on the mysterious first-year standing next to him.
