Beds were getting too boring for Hanako Tone the Great to spend his slumber in.
He tried to find peace in the silent library, only to realize it was not as silent as he thought. Quick scribbles of quills, pages flipping, small mumbles of chatter made him so irritated that he had urges to hex everyone for more than several times.
Fortunately to the people of the library, he has yet to learn any. Being a lazy student without urges to even open a textbook helped that.
The teachers would wake him up if he slept in the classroom.
The floor would make his back hurt when he wakes up.
The bed became a cursed object he tried to stay away from.
For once, since he had started his school year, he felt homesick. There were plenty of random places for him to sleep on without restrictions in his area. He was honored to say he slept at every possible place in his spacious penthouse.
Sleeping in different places every 2 or 3 weeks had become a habit so deep-rooted in Hanako that it made his mind in disarray with all the restrictions Hogwarts came with.
So, saying a last ' screw you' to the rules and regulations Hogwarts enforced, he had found peace with himself as he climbed a random tree in the grounds to sleep on.
Targetting a thick branch, he looked around for any suspicious eyes before using his talent of climbing to get to that branch.
He felt a smile grace his features as he finally reached the targeted branch. " やれやれ...been a while since I did this " he muttered as he took out a rope tying his stomach to the trunk.
This wasn't really safe, per se. And this wasn't allowed, technically. But did he give a beeswax? No.
He had eyebags to take care of if he still wishes to be as handsome as he is. Not that eyebags would change disrupt his attractive looks.
Getting comfortable, it didn't take a full minute for the tiny Slytherin to doze off.

Warm Spacey Afternoons (keep it that way)
@Hanako Tone
Jack wandered the grounds idly, thinking of all that had been going on with his dorm mates and the Gryffindor boy he had found himself spending so much time with recently. While Ruka had offered to sneak him into the Gryffindor Common Room before, Jack had been grateful but turned the offer down. He hadn't wanted to risk the second-year getting in trouble for his own sake. Therefore, though he tried to stay close to the fire-dancer as much as he could, there were some times when he had to leave Ruka to himself, such as to sleep, study, or go to class.
They frequently studied together, but Jack could understand how suffocating it must have get to have someone constantly hovering over your shoulder, so though he worried, he forced himself to let the other boy have some alone time once in a while. Whether or not he had friends in Gryffindor wasn't known to the Slytherin, but if Ruka wanted to make friends, Jack didn't want his presence to prevent that, either - especially when Jack himself had so many enemies and other people trying to avoid him due to his reputation.
It was weird trying to go back to his old habits of being alone after having spent so much time with someone else, though. Jack hadn't realized up until then how much he had incorporated Ruka into his everyday life. Hoping some fresh air would clear his head, he thought to take a walk on the school grounds outside and maybe even do a little exploring. Climb a tree or two for fun. He couldn't remember the last time he'd done that and a lot of the trees around looked so inviting to climb.
As the boy gazed up into the branches of each tree he passed, however, one of them in particular caught his eye. There appeared to be...was that another boy tied to that bough? And...was he sleeping? A grin split Jack's face immediately. What made the kid want to sleep all the way up there? If he had tied himself to the branch, surely it had been planned. Was that his preferred way of sleeping? Had he often slept in that particular tree and Jack had just never noticed before?
Oh, what to do? There were so many potential options... To keep walking was one of them, but that wouldn't have been any fun at all. Besides, he wanted to meet this bold kid. It was a little difficult to tell from where he was at, but Jack thought he might have been wearing Slytherin colors, same as him. Suddenly filled with ideas, Jack hurried back indoors to get a box of supplies.
When he came out again, he had several rolls of tissue paper, some bottles of ink, and a few feather quill pens. First, Jack tried to see if he could reach the other boy's fingers with the ink, hoping to dip each one in the ink well in the case he touched his face when he woke up. He wasn't sure that one would work, but that was why he had also brought the toilet paper. Tossing the rolls over the branch and the boy, he made several rounds with the paper until the sleeping stranger was bundled to the tree branch like a mummy.
Then, when that was finished, the redhead grabbed one of the most fluffy plumed feather quills he could find and reached up to try to tickle the other boy's nose with it. Again, he wasn't sure he would be able to reach, but he thought it was worth a try. As he did so, he began to sing softly, trying not to laugh between words.
"...Rock-a-bye baby on the tree top...when the wind blows, the cradle will rock. When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall...and down will come baby, cradle, and all..."

Hanako was, by all means, a light sleeper. But irregular sleeping patterns and pettiness about his sleeping place had made it a bit hard for the boy to wake. Tossed toilet paper around him that bundled him like a newborn baby didn't even manage to make him stir.
If the mischevious boy hasn't started singing lullabies and tickling Hanako's nose with a feather, he would've slept, it not, more peacefully.
Hesitantly, his eyes blinked and slowly but eventually opened into a slightly annoyed gaze. For who dares, to wake up Hanako Tone the great in his peaceful slumber.
The fool who dared was a young Slytherin boy Hanako had never seen before. Hanako didn't want to waste further brainpower just describing the fool. He ended his observations of the boy by describing the fool as someone he rather not see in his next life.
Hanako was very prone to bad moods once he was woken up.
"やれやれ ..." he muttered, trying to wake up his dazed brain to analyze the situation he was in.
He was an idiot to an extent, but not that much of an idiot. That fool with a cheeky grin and poor attempt of covering his giggles obviously had done something to Hanako while he slept. That, or he was a crazy psycho but, Hanako decided to stick with what sounded more logical.
The giggling fool was definitely a crazy psycho. That was what Hanako's still dazed from a recent nap brain could conclude.
There was no fear on the lazy child's face, in fact, he looked like he wanted nothing more than to go back to sleep. Psycho or not, Hanako was too tired to think of anything at all at the moment.
He tried to move his hands only to realize they were stuck.
"やれやれ ..." he lazily muttered once again after he gave up his weak attempts at breaking free. As he agreed to himself that he'll be the first one to die in a horror movie, a certain memory of his grandmother came to him in a flash.
' Refuse to give death the satisfaction of having you at his mercy. Practice that pretty blank face you have there, yes! '
Her words had made him look like a fearless idiot he is today.
With his brain in a better state than before, he grasped the real situation quickly. He was indeed, being treated like a prince.
" I would've preferred cashmere if you wanted me to have a nice sleep...but I suppose I commend you for your creativity and kindness"
His caretaker has warned him that not everyone can afford cashmere so, we must all be understandable to their financial situation. He was deeply baffled and impressed by how kind this giggling fool must be to go out his way to cover Hanako from the chilly air, even if it had to be cheap toilet paper.
Yes, it all makes sense now. The fool before him wanted to be Hanako's friend. He had wrapped him of cheap toilet paper and waited excitedly for Hanako to wake up to compliment him. Alas, not everyone can be friends with someone as great as Hanako, and wrapping him in cheap toilet paper he refused to touch further was not the way to go.
With a yawn, he said " I'll allow you to be my friend for an hour if it makes you leave me to sleep. Very kind of you to do this, but I prefer sleep over blossoming friendships... " with that he snuggled into his toilet paper cocoon, trying not to break it free as he closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep again.
It was clear, Hanako's brain still has not wakened. Despite this, it was harder to sleep when he knows there is another in his presence. He just hoped the giggling fool would leave him.
Another 10 seconds and he would've understood his real situation though.

When the other young man woke (kind of) and began to mumble what Jack could only think of as nonsense. 'Cashmere'? 'Creativity and kindness'...? Be his friend for an hour...?
"Uh...thanks, but I don't do the whole 'friend thing'," Jack snickered. "Anyway, you must be the most realistic, boy-shaped piñata I've ever seen. No wonder someone tried to hide you. Everyone would definitely want to beat you up the moment they laid eyes on you. Wizard magic is something else." He laughed again. "I never thought about how much fun it would be to hit a piñata that could talk. Or yell. Man, that's genius!"
He tilted his head at the other boy. "Soo...are you here for someone's birthday or something? And why do you look like that? Your voice has the perfect annoying quality to make someone want to beat you, but are you made to appear like someone the birthday kid really hates or something?" Taking out his wand, he glanced from it back to the child in the tree.
"How do wizard piñatas work, anyway? Do people beat you with a bat, like muggle piñatas? Or zap you with magic using their wands? Or...maybe..." Moving forward, he attempted to poke the boy with his wand. "...do they just beat you with their wands?"

[font=PT Sans]Don’t do the friend thing? No. He definitely wants to be friends with Hanako. Or ...he doesn’t really want to. It doesn’t matter, Hanako does not engage with the ‘friend thing’ either, but if insisting he’s a kind friend would annoy the redhead further, then so it shall be. Another time, it seems because the imp spared no hesitance in changing the subject, clearly far more interested in the situation Hanako was in.
Ah yes… a situation.
With half of his remaining focus on the imp’s word, he stared down blanky to where his hands and body supposed to be, only to be replaced with wrapped rolls of cheap toilet paper. If the imp wasn’t into friends, why would he buddle Hanako from the cold? The higher you are the chillier right? Even if it was cheap toilet papers, the good intentions were obvious.
[ rolled to see if he noticed and he unfortunately he did. We’ll get em next time ]
And then it all clicked. Finally. What. A. Scoundrel. Their choice to use toilet paper had turned from an understandably poor person choice to downright insulting. Tiredly, he attempted to give him a long glare after he finished his talking.
“ It’s a talent I’ve taken years to hone and sharpen. No magic here. Just pure individual talent …..and maybe 5 % of work “ He choose to reply to being the most realistic annoying pinata. “.. 7% - actually, including yours it seems. Your annoying energy combined with mine? Unstoppable and the dismay of many. Including me” He muttered bitterly with some aloofness to his tone. It was true that this one here is extremely punchable. Was this Karma for all the people he annoyed before? Tragic.
“ You’ll be a better pinata than me, that’s for sure. Chatty..chatty ..sooo chatty..”
And then the imp continued...talking? Hanako could barely understand him with every tone of his annoying voice translated into blaring alarms in his head. This was the worst alarm he had ever had to wake up to. To quell his growing irritation, he began to meditate.
I want to hit him. I want to hit him. I want to hit him.I want to hit him. I want to hit him. I want to hit him.I want to hit him. I want to hit him. I want to hit him.I want to hit him. I want to hit him. I want to hit him.I want to hit him. I want to hit him. I want to hit him.
Fantasizing a desired reality is a good way to calm down. By being able to take deep breaths and looking incredibly tired, he was able to listen to the imp’s next line of endless chattering.
“ Muggleborn..hm?” he muttered, guessing with the way the imp was asking something about a wizard pinata. Hanako knew just as much as him but with the way he was almost poking him with a wand, he figured he was implying something Hanako didn’t want to go through. Nevertheless, with the power of being exhausted, he kept a calm face and responded. “ A good guess, Mister Chatty. But no, you got it all wrong. “
“ What you do is stop.” he paused “ Drop.” he paused again“ and rrrrooooooollllllllllll away~” “ Pinatas and cherished items. You do not hit them with sticks nor magic ones. You simply admire their effortless beauty and grace. Comment on their lovely appearance and leave gifts underneath them. For that, the pinata spirits will bless your year and love life.”
With the little energy and space he has, he looked down on the imp and eyed him head to toe, scrunching. “ And seems to me you’ll need it” childishly, he stuck his tongue out for a second before closing his eyes, positioning himself once again on the tree. “ It’s a wizard thing. Don’t question me. Nor the pinata spirits. Not if you fear the fleeting happiness of your life.“
Perhaps the imp will take this obvious bullcrappery Hanako just pulled out and leave him alone?
