Sam was used to sitting in quiet places. He strived in them no matter what he was doing. But even in the quiet study room he could not seem to understand any of the words he was reading. He had been notified that he would have two weeks to study for a test, and he spent a week and a half of that drawing. He was getting better though, he was proud of that, and all of his school work is up to date, but this one test, he was sure to fail.
After a solid forty-five minutes of (attempted) studying of the History of Magic (quite an unnecessary class in his opinion) he pulled his beanie over his face and placed his head on the book. A quiet groan of annoyance escaped Sam's lips before he abruptly sat up, fixed his beanie, and pushed the book aside. He pulled his sketchbook out and started drawing. Studying could wait.
Sam drew for maybe five minutes before the dread set in. This then lead to a mental debate on whether he should continue drawing or try to comprehend the distasteful words in the book.
A minute passed.
He grabbed the book and started reading again.
Two minutes.
Five minutes.
Ten minutes.
At fifteen he gave up. Again he placed his head on the book, face down, eyes closed, just thinking.

The study room was where Dale spent most of his time, not his favorite place, that was quickly becoming the quidditch pitch, after all both of his friends were involved in quidditch, and it was always fun watching the teams train... He quickly realized he was getting distracted, he focused himself again on his astrology paper, one of his easier classes. He would've preferred working in the library today, but it was full thanks to upcoming tests and papers. The paper wasn't difficult at all, but just a tad bit tedious. He quickly fished the rest of the paper, rushing it out near the end... he could take a few bad grades every now and then.

Dale packed up all of his things, he put his backpack over his shoulder and started to head out the door, he hoped he would run into Santario or Lark... but in the corner of his eye, he was a boy. The study room was pretty empty, at least compared to other days when it would be much more packed, because of this Dale was able to see this boy's struggles fully, he was him 15 minutes ago stop studying and pick up what seemed to be a sketchbook, and at this point, he had completely given up and had just put his head down. Dale sighed, he seemed to find himself in this kind of situation once a month.. He did his regular routine of walking over and taking a seat opposite to him, "Hey, need some help."

”Hey, need some help?”
Samuels eyes shot open. In seconds, he managed to run through his routine. The boy who spoke to him seemed to be older, but not by much. His question seemed genuine, which was a relaxing thought, and it was only one question; a yes or no question, simple. Of course he did, but would he say it out loud?
Sam just had one question in return, which he debated on asking out loud, and that was how much did this other boy see?
As he lifted his head from the book, he made eye contact with the boy. He seemed to relax, which was odd, but any sense of calm was welcomed at this time. He felt his face get red, it always happens when someone talks to him.
He took in the boys appearance within seconds. He looked like a second year, a kind one, and for some reason Sam couldn’t take his eyes off of the kid, it truly was uncomfortable.
“I- uh yeah. T-that would be nice.” His face heated up again. Speaking was not his forte, and that just made everything even more awkward on Sam’s part. For Merlin’s sake, it sounded like he was talking to his (non existent) crush. “I-if you don’t mind me asking. Just how much of.. t-that did you see?” His face happened to contort into one of... concern. He was legitimately scared about how much this kid saw.
