The Drowned Palace

@Siobhan McCarty would cast a well-timed second revelio; maybe the second time was working a charm? And so it did. The algae seemed to grow brighter and sharper, allowing her to read the words blending into the foliage. This wasn't very helpful for the blindvisioned girl, who had seen them all already, but it certainly helped the rest of the crew who were now able to make out the entirety of the words.MOD POST - GROUP 9
your xxxxxxxxx treasure xxx Fail xxxxxxxxxxxx stays xxxxxx do xxxxxxx the xxxxxxxxxx The and xxxxxxxxxxxxx search, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx through xxxxxx is xxxxxxxxxxx so xxx timexxx you
The words were scrambled, they needed to be rearranged, though that was a much easier task now that they could actually see them properly too. As for the rest...
@Matthew Campbell would logically and correctly figure out that the algae hated his light, and with a quick and simple motion, the light in his wand had gone out. @Prat Pass did no such thing, and his light still blared brightly, not helping in the slightest, but thanks to Siobhan, not hurting anyone either. @Remedy Norden-Alptraum's flames continued to add the the atmosphere while not really helping. Maybe she was going for the moral support. @Atlas Anderson and @Odilon Wilde also both chose to wait, maybe they thought that the clues would simply fall from the ceiling onto them. Unfortunatly, the ceiling was simply a ceiling and gave them no help whatsoever.

XXXXXPrat stood amid the shifting algae-light, wand still casting a sharp beam that in hindsight did nothing but clash with the atmosphere Matt and Sio were actually making progress in. Remedy's flame spell wasn't doing much either, but at least two of them looked the best put together in the group. Serving face card as those plebs would say. Matt had figured something out, or he seemed to act like he did, and Siobhan's revelio had sharpened the scene as it brought more usable information for the group. Much as he hesitated with her for the past few days, he couldn't deny she was carrying more than half the effort so far.
With a quiet exhale, Prat lifted his wand attempted to murmur "Nox" and put out the light produced by his wand while addressing the rest of convoy.
"We should try something else," he said, stepping forward a fraction. "Let's delegate work."
He didn't wait to see who agreed, this wasn't a choice. The scattered words still remained and the strange melody tugged at him once again. Odilon had attempted to make his frog sing, maybe there was something to gain from it.
Even a bad clock strikes true twice.
Slipping ahead, Prat left Remedy's side as he began singing, matching the cadence of the distant tune to the best of his abilities.

The Drowned Palace

It was violently clear to all that knew him that Matthew wasn't exactly a group person, he thrived by himself and could just about handle the small bundle of friends he had collected. But this was in no way his ideal setting, especially given multiple people he was accused of poisoning the last time he did were stuck in here with him. As sweat began to trickle down his brow he could feel himself beginning to panic, it was like trying to catch your breath but only feeling your heart rising to your throat Unbearable and incredibly distracting.
So he sank into the place he always found refuge, the solitary scale of his mind. The place where he didn't have to hide any part of himself, didn't have to worry how he was being perceived. To the rest of the group it would not look like he had entered a trance, or disappeared, his eyes would just grow slightly darker and his focus would be intently focused on the wall where the clues now clearly were displayed.
Puzzles were no stranger to the shy little boy. Matthew spent endless car drives down the east coast of England and up to northern Scotland with his crossword and word search books he'd purchase for a pound out of WHSmith. When he wasn't reading stories he was deciphering those puzzles in and out until he had made it through to the end. It was cathartic, one of the many things he did to take his mind off of the other swirling malicious thoughts in his head. Particularly, they helped when he was losing himself to emotion. This was one such time.
As words began to swirl around in his head he evaluated what could go next to where and pictured them like music floating around the room until they matched a tangible sentence. It took him a minute, a few potential combinations until he settled upon it. The boy who had gone quiet suddenly burst back to life, working the rhythm of the siren's melody to the phrase the foliage had revealed.
"Fail the search, your time is through. The treasure stays and so do you"
Matthew wasn't sure if anything would happen or if the phrase was merely a clue so he would wait and if nothing did, he would say to the rest of his group, "we have to search for the clues, everyone take a corner and start looking for anything important or flashing. usually there numbers, letters, dates or symbols."

.Glubgus merely blinked one eye at a time as Odi glared. “Come on man. You can’t make me sing it.”
Fortunately however, it seemed there were others in the room who were more than willing. Prat had seemed to pick up the tune relatively well and was humming along softly to the sound. “Alright Warbeck, calm down.” He teased, punching Prat’s shoulder. He wasn’t sure what made him reference a singer whose last relevant hit was in the 90s, but alas she was the first that came to mind.
Matt had also come to the same conclusion as Prat, seeming to arrive at a revelation about the newly unshrivelled algae. His voice pierced the gloom like a knife as he sang
"Fail the search, your time is through. The treasure stays and so do you"
After watching Matt sing with a surgical gaze, Odi glanced up at the room to see if anything had changed. Matt spoke up again "We have to search for the clues.” Do we now, Odi thought to himself sarcastically as the boy continued.“Everyone take a corner and start looking for anything important or flashing. Usually they’re numbers, letters, dates or symbols."
"Who put you in charge?" Odi couldn’t help but growl under his breath as he did exactly as Matt asked. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day after all.
It was at this point that Odi suddenly noticed the book in Atlas’ hands, and his eyes darted to the bookshelf in an instant. Perhaps there was something else on this shelf that might illuminate their path forward. Stepping closer, his brow furrowed as he murmured “Revelio.”, trailing his wand along the tomes.

@Prat Pass would finally deduce that his lumos was helping no matter, although it didn't matter at that point, all the algae had already been exposed. The room did grow darker as he cast nox. Maybe that was intentional. Maybe this was all secretly a game of mafia, like last year.MOD POST - GROUP 9
As he began to sing...nothing would happen. Although maybe he had a wonderful voice. Some moral support for the group, perhaps? Something was wrong.
And @Matthew Cambell knew exactly what it was. The music continued with his singing, and as his voice faded out, the singing did as well.
Upon singing the last word, a bell-like laugh is heard, followed by a splash of water. The room suddenly enlightens, lights coming from floating luminescent jellyfishes, blue-flame candles, and gigantic glowing pearls. You are clearly within a palace's room, the intricate designs reminiscing old-time castles, its columns stretching toward the surface of the ocean. For indeed, this palace is sunken deep within troubled seas—flowing motifs on the walls mimick the pattern often found when looking back at the surface, and a blue filter seems to be cast over the room.
Facing you, eyes can distinguish a large window opened on the underwater world. An infinite horizon of blue is shown, though in the distance, some recognisable shapes can be glimpsed. Sharks, fish, and mermaid silhouettes can be made out. Strangely, they seem to be holding their hands in the shape of an eight. Thick and heavy velvet curtains frame the window, their fringes piling on the floor underneath. Behind you is the door from which you've entered, though the knob seem to have disappeared. Next to it is an immense clock, though its mechanism seems to be broken, as it is frozen in time, the large hand on the II and the smaller one on IV. On your right is a bookshelf painstakingly carved from an oversized shell, its books worn, pages damaged by the ambient humidity.
Ambient Oceans, By Willy Embers
Watching the Waves, By Rylee Waters
Below the Waters, By Pearl Cordelia
Whispers of the Shells By Coral Ocean
Crossing the Trenches By Dolphina Wave
Man, they really name these kids strange names.
Besides it stands what appears to be a collection of shells, with a small wicker basket standing by its side.
What truly catches your eyes, though, is the wall found by your left side: a fascinating assortment of art, a gallery of moving paintings. These paintings are truly eye catching - it is hard to tear your eyes away. The first depicts a whale piercing the water, it's majestic shape crashing down the surface. Next to it is what appears to be a jellyfish, sister to the one floating throughout the room, pink, aligned with delicate lilac dots. The three following show, respectively, an orca chasing a seal, an elegant shark swimming about, and finally an adorable octopus hiding beneath a rock. The last one is that of a woman, staring directly at you, perched on a rock. Each member of the room will see the woman's eyes following them. Watching. Waiting. Hoping.
@Odilon Wilde would find his wand cackle a bit from the spell, but no Revelio was successfully made.
@Atlas Anderson, @Siobbhan McCarty, and @Remedy Norden-Alptraum were no help.
