Credits to Barnaby Ryker for some images of this office area.
In a little used part of the castle is the Professor of Flying's office. It is far from everything, having no classroom adjacent. The empty hallway one must walk through is filled with dusty old paintings and tapestries of old heroes of the Quidditch world until you reach a big, heavy door made of thick, dark wood.
There is no knocker, so you might proceed to knock with your cupped fist, but the sound does not travel far. It sounds much like knocking on a solid stone wall. After waiting and hearing no answer, your lack of patience might get the better of you, so you open the door. It is a truly heavy door, and you probably must lean your whole weight on it to make it open.
The room you enter is a workspace. And it is unfashionable. The room is primarily dim, save for a bright pink, magically lit lamp in the corner. Oils and paints' odors linger in the room, and though they do not fit, some nail polish jars are scattered throughout the room. Brooms hang on the walls, a couple of them chained, as if attempting to fly off on their own.
The dank room has dust and old broom chippings laying on the floor. The walls are lined with cabinets and tables where there are no brooms hanging. Every piece of furniture, save the lamp, is thick, dark, and sturdy looking. On the tables lay scattered tools and brooms that are pinned up on stands, so they are easier to work on. The room is not nearly as organized as one would expect.
On the other end of the room another door is located, which is also dark but slightly less heavy. Through this door you can smell spice from tea in the air. A sign adorns the dorn, saying "Olphie C. Bercegeay's Office, please knock." It would thus be common courtesy to knock before entering.
The former office of Barnaby Ryker is now brightly colored in a pink hue, with the professor's desk in the center. She has many books on the history of flight and flying and two cozy brown leathered armchairs which are presumably to read said books. A few more worn school brooms would lay in the corner where they are being presumably looked at. One or two would be floating as the after-effects from a charm that had worn off. The rest of the school brooms that were not in the office or workspace would be located in a shed near the Quidditch Training Pitch. Finally, leaning against the neon pink desk would be Olphie's pride and joy, her Nimbus 2001, otherwise known as "Nombus."
The pink desk is right in front of you, and Olphie sits in it. Behind the desk you can catch a glimpse of a bed, sheets an even brighter pink than the colors of the walls, and opposite the bookshelf, a fireplace. A few self-portraits are scattered on the mantle. Most notable of all, however, is a large portrait of Barnaby Ryker to the left side of the desk. One may wonder if she says goodnight to this portrait before sleeping, as it is quite close to her bed.
Upon your entrance, Olphie would look up from her book, take a drink of her tea, and smile. "How can I help you, dear?" she would ask, then sip her tea until you decided to speak.

The girl reminded Olphie of her as a child: pudgy, a student...the comparisons ended there, it seemed. She wasn't nearly as fabulous as Olphie Camille Bercegeay, but if Olphie knew anything, it was that even poorly-dressed children had potential for superstardom.
Her eyes narrowed as the girl did not respond to her inquiry and instead moved towards her broom, Nombus. They were nearly shut when the blonde asked if it was a Nimbus 2000. Nombus, and Olphie, had never felt so disrespected. How dare this child think that Nombus was a less-than fabulous Nimbus? It was something the girl ought to be ashamed about, yet there she was, looking so eager.
Though Olphie would still engage, she was disappointed with the lack of knowledge that the child had exhibited thus far. It would take quite a bit to prove that this Hufflepuff had what it took to be a Quidditch superstar. "No dear, it is a Nimbus 2001," she said loudly, in hopes of knocking some sense into the ignorant child. "You may remember my Nimbus, also known as Nombus, as a star, secondary only to be, of the Holyhead Harpies. You're familiar with the Harpies, dear?"
A test, one that the girl would hopefully pass, in order to restore her hopes in her Quidditch potential. Olphie took a sip of tea as she peered carefully into the young girl's eyes as though trying to stare deep into her soul.

The child did not seem to remember her name enough to say it, but she was smart enough to say that she knew the greatest team in Quidditch history, the only one that could boast it was entirely female. Olphie smiled at her enthusiasm but noted that her face fell with the next statement. "Well I can't say that it's a guarantee, but I do still know some people on the team. I'll see what I can do, dear," she said, winking.
In actuality, Olphie would forget the conversation just about as fast as someone could say "look there's a hot guy over there," but it was the thought that counted, she knew. Until the memory eradicated itself, she would think of her old teammates and wonder which one would be most likely to donate a ticket to a poor, clearly unathletic child. Come to think of it, she hadn't heard from any of them since she'd quit the team. Perhaps their owls were idiots and could not remember that she lived in Hogwarts, now.
In the meantime, the girl turned back to Nombus and remarked that he was beautiful. Of course he was, the statement was as obvious as if someone said that Olphie, herself, was beautiful. She nodded and was about to say more but was suddenly overtaken with a sense of panic. She had only just entered the school; what if the fans were swarming the door, wanting to ask questions, but waiting because they knew that she was with another student? Chit chat could happen another time, but not in the first few days of her being at Hogwarts, when so many fans would want to greet her as well. She'd have to cut the chatter, though she thrived off of the girl's compliments. So, she sipped her tea and asked, quite simply, "Do you have any questions, dear?"

Lamik Fillestar knocked on the door gently, a slightly nervous expression on his face. The boy had never been to the flying professors office, and though he had been meaning to since the end of the previous year to apologize, he could never bring himself to do it. Now though, he had a new reason. Lamik had just left Solomon Lears office, which him and a couple of other students had found in dissaray: The door was broken in, the paintings were missing, the sorting hat was gone, and the floor was littered in pygmy puff skulls. Along with that, the Heamaster himself (who Lamik had not seen for quite awhile and had assumed was locked up in the office) was no where to be seen.
"Hello, Professor." He said after opening the door and taking in his pink surroundings. Olphie was definitely not the boys favorite professor. Or his second favorite. Or his third. In fact, after what he had seen at his first year graduation party she was ranked quite low down. Still- he had coincidentally passed nearby, and though he wasnt sure how competent the Professor was, he still believed that she had a somewhat good heart. "I was wondering if I could talk to you about Headmaster Lear."

The knock interrupted an important activity: that is, Olphie was reading the latest copy of Witch Weekly. Looking to not reveal that most of her love tips came from the magazine (this week's article: "10 Subliminal Tricks That Make People Adore You"), she waved her wand over the magazine so it would appear to show "10 Subliminal Tricks for the Quidditch Pitch" before she beckoned, "Come in!"
She eyed the small boy who came into the room, hair looking ragged and as ugly as ever. Olphie can't have said that she had seen the child around recently; in fact, she couldn't even remember what house he belonged to, except for the fact that his robes identified him. But still, her face lit up with what could only be described as pleasure to have a visitor.
When he inquired about the Headmaster, Olphie pondered the man. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen Headmaster Lurk lurking around lately either. Maybe he and this Gryffindor were conspiring together to throw Olphie a grand birthday party? Her birthday wasn't for a while, but it would explain why they had been avoiding her...the only logical explanation.
Still, she might as well entertain the boy, Olphie figured. "Headmaster Lark? What about him?"

Lamik internally sighed in relief when it was made clear that the Professor didn't mind his intrusion. His reasoning for coming had been important, and the boy was worried that he wouldn't be able to ask the woman about what he wanted. "My name is Lamik, Professor." He said, in case she didnt remember him. "Lamik Fillestar." The boys voice betrayed his worry- it was weak and even somewhat shaky. He was very clearly nervous (or possibly aftaid) fot some reason. After introducing himself, Lamik stepped farther into the room and closed the door behind him.
"Yes, Headmaster Lear..." the Gryffindor said, putting an emphasis on the name as if to demonstrate how it was meant to be promounced. It was actually somewhat lucky for Lamik that Solomons name had been mispronounced. The humorous nature of the mistake managed to slightly calm his nerves, and the next time the boy spoke it was with a bit more confidence. "...I think something happened to him." Before even waiting for an answer, Lamik began speaking again, explaining at length the reason for his worries. "I heard of Harry potters guilt earlier today, and I was hoping to ask him a few questions about it- see the whole thing seemed weird to me. Now, I was the first to enter his office, but a few more kids followed me, probably for the same reason and- well- he wasnt there. Of course, that wouldn't be too weird, except for the fact that the door was broken down, the room was covered in dust, the paintings were missing, his desk had a hidden compartment in it, pigmy puff skulls littered the floor, and a hidden message was drawn on the wall. Before you scold me for snooping in his office- yes, I know its against the rules, and i'll take whatever punishment you decide on without question, but I'm worried and I think its more important that I bring this to someones attention then it is for me to stay out of trouble."

Olphie wasn't entirely sure why the boy was introducing himself; did he think that she did not know her students? Wasn't it an obligation of a professor to know her students names, treat them like a member of her family because they were away from her own families? How foolish some children could be, thinking that she did not even know their names! "No need to introduce yourself, Mr. Finediamond! Of course I remember you. Gryffindor Seeker. I wouldn't forget...tough losses your team has had, though. Such a shame."
She wanted to talk more about Quidditch, but for some reason, he wanted to talk more about the Headmaster. She was uncertain as to why he emphasized his name, wondering if the man was going through some sort of identity crisis that only the students knew about. Her thoughts were further confirmed by the fact that the Gryffindor reported, "I think something has happened to him."
Olphie's eyebrow crept upward in curiosity, thinking further about the boy's emphasis on Lark's name, something happening...did Limerick see something that he was trying to hit at? Did the Headmaster have some deep, dark secret? "Er..." she began slowly, ignoring the office commentary for the time being, "Are we supposed to call the Headmaster....Headmistress now?"
It would make sense, after all. When anyone went over to have an identity change, they often did strange things. And though the pygmy puff heads, missing paintings, and secret messages were...strange, but an identity crisis could make that happen. Olphie remembered, between ages 13 and 14, that she went through a "punk witch" sort of phase. She tore down the remainder of her wall hangings (though there wasn't much, her room being taken over by her siblings) and threw up some posters of the Weird Sisters. Headmistress Learn may be having a strange criss, but who was she to judge?
There were two things that she wanted to understand, however, so she asked the boy, "What did you find strange about Harry Potter's guilt, then? And what was this message you found in the Headmistress's office?"

Lamik stared at Olphie with a very confused expression. The woman always seemed to get names wrong, but what she had called him was just something entirely new. Finediamond? Sure, Fillestar was not a common last name by any means, but it wasn't exactly a difficult one to pronounce either. Just two words: "File Star". As much as he wanted to correct the professor though, Lamik held his tongue, not interested in getting into something so unimportant when Lear could have been in trouble. He couldn't help but respond to the next thing that came out of Olphie's mouth though- an implication that Lear had turned into a girl. "No." He said firmly, shaking his head in frustration.
"Look..." Lamik started. "I just found it strange that he would kill someone, and I found it stranger that the ministry didn't allow reporters to... Well... Report on the trials. I didn't have anything conclusive." The Gryffindor was well aware of how silly it may have sounded that he decided to come talk to the headmaster about something that just "felt off", but he didn't care. There were more pressing issues at hand. "And the message was I shatter when I am not kept. I took a page out of your book and assumed it meant a heart, but I'm not sure."

Olphie would not notice any confused expression on the boy's face, instead wondering why he was so firm in his opposition to her hypothesis. Oh well. Maybe one day he would see the light.
The boy had had considerable worry on his face, and she did not disregard this, though the Flying professor was a bit upset that he did not regard her theories with as much seriousness as she was taking his. As he spoke his words, however, she pondered what he was saying. Though she had never much cared to inform herself of what had been going on with the Potter trials, the boy had a point; it was strange. She knew, though, that she would not be much help with this factor; she hadn't even read the papers.
The message, though...that was also a bit bizarre. Though Olphie was still convinced that it could pertain to the Headmaster's former memory crisis, thinking about hearts led her down a train of thought that she would not have had without the first year boy. With a small sigh, she murmured, "Have you heard about strange things happening at Hogwarts, dear? This year, yes, but perhaps years prior? The Potter thing is interesting, but he has been gone from this school for a while now, and...perhaps we are not referring to a heart, exactly, but another thing to protect the body. Another thing that has been in Hogwarts."
She paused, wanting to go on, but hoping that the boy would know what she was saying so that she did not have to say her hypothesis, for so often was Olphie wrong about such things of a serious nature. Trying to help him reach the thought for her, she inquired, "Does this sound familiar to you at all, Mr. Friedchicken?"
