I'm sure you did your best anyways.Amelia Lerelle wrote: 13 Nov 2025, 11:55 Just finished my first performance of the production and let’s just say… sore throats and heaps of Panadol doesn’t make well for a performance![]()
I just want to say that I remember a performance of Clue in Dec 2022 where I just.. *snapped* and I don't know where it came from, like it just happened out of nowhere. That semester I was being bullied and targeted by the girl who was playing Mrs White in cast B (we had 2 casts, I was in both as Mr Boddy). I was already so sad and so upset and wanted to leave theater alltogether after the performance. Well, that last performance of ours? The girl playing Mrs Scarlet and the boy playing Colonel Mustard stumbled on their lines causing me to stumble and there was an awkward silence and I snapped..
Though when I did snap, I was angry, and I threw in their "crimes" that they "committed" in character, because I realized in that moment that I was breaking character and needed to get back to my part because I flubbed up and I tried to personalize that mistake to fit the character but I only ended up feeling bad and apologized after the performance. Not to Mrs. White, she had made me feel very insecure and depressed lol. But to the rest of the cast.
So anyways, I did well for most of the performances, rehearsals, etc. Even the filming. I knew my lines, my cues, but due to the bullying and pent up emotions inside, and the fumbled lines and cues, I snapped. Tried to fix it lmao.

Oof. I was in my school musical once, and I almost screamed in frustration because the lead tripped on me, but I managed to convert it and make it seem like it was part of the show.

I missed auditions for my school play years ago but still ended up with a minor speaking role.
But because I was so shy back then I had to either shout into a mic hooked up to another character or else awkwardly walk across the stage to the front mics just so that people could hear me
