The Best Kind of Rivalry
The boy caught the ball in midair and immediately proceeded to fly towards his goal. Rhea followed him and pulled up next to him, so they were flying side by side. The boy turned to look at her and spoke, "Not bad, most people usually panic when I pull up beside them." Rhea rolled her eyes as he winked and pushed his broom to go faster.
"Don't flatter yourself," she muttered under her breath and knelt down on her broom so she could faster.
Then suddenly, out of nowhere, he pulled his broom up and was heading high up into the sky. Rhea pressed her lips together and debated whether to follow him or not, but ultimately decided not too. She wanted to see what he was planning.
Rhea tilted her head up and watching as he kept climbing higher, and higher, and higher, into the clouds until she could only see his silhouette. Finally, her resolve cracked and she decided to keep following him into the sky. When she could finally see him, she smirked and pushed her broom to go faster. All of a sudden, the boy stopped his ascent and decided to point his broom down and rush towards her. She pressed her lips together but stayed on course, knowing that she'd rather be physically hurt than have her pride be hurt. Rhea watched as he hurtled towards her, and she stopped her broom from moving so she was just hovering in mid air. She raised an eyebrow as she saw that he wasn't slowing down.
Closer and closer he got, until at the last possible moment he tore his broom sideways and slanted it up so he was heading towards the posts. Rhea realized what he was doing at the last moment and, with a soft grumble, gave chase to him although she knew she wouldn't get there in time to stop him from throwing the Quaffle in.
"That was a nice move," she said as she slowly came to a stop beside him. "What's it called?"
What Griffin had just done was a move she'd never seen before, and she was eager to master it. She had no doubt that it would impress the referees or the coaches when she tried out for the team.

the trouble is, if you don't risk anything -- you risk more.
