An impromptu meeting
It was just after breakfast on a day of no classes, and Eloise had spent the morning having breakfast with her brother, Phillip, who had spent the entirety of their morning together blabbering again and again about his current favorite classes, potions and DADA, and lecturing her on how important both courses will be for his future career (Phillip had been researching the history of Aurors at hogwarts during his free time, and dreamed of being as renowned and respected as those who had come before him), and to regain his family glory through protecting those who relied on him most. Hearing this, Eloise rolled her eyes at her brother’s desperate need to “regain his glory in the family,” all because he had been sorted into Hufflepuff the year prior. “ You’re making it sound like being sorted into a house outside of what other people in our family were sorted into is a bad thing. It’s not that big of a deal- you’re just a worry wort. Relax.” Said Eloise, trying to assure her brother that there wasn’t anything to regain after being sorted into a different house. “You just wouldn’t understand. You got sorted into a generational house, I didn’t.” Said her brother, staring at the ground as we entered the courtyard. “Phil, name any one of our family members who nagged you for being sorted into a different house.” Said Eloise, now tired of hearing Phillip bog himself down for something so silly. “Fair. I still want to be an auror though.” Replied Phillip.
Wishing you all well,
Sincerely Yours,
Eloise Whitmann
