First Journey to Hogwarts

Daniel sat by the window, as the train began to move. It was his first time being away from home for so long, and the feeling inside his chest was a strange mix of nerves and calm curiosity.

He tugged lightly at the sleeve of his simple knitted sweater, the familiar fabric helping him settle in the new and unfamiliar space. Daniel was on the shorter side for his age, with a slim frame, but the way he sat straight-backed and attentive made it clear that he noticed more than he spoke. His hazel-brown eyes followed every passing detail outside as though he didn’t want to miss a single thing.

From the other compartments came the muffled sounds of laughter, hurried footsteps, and the soft hoot of an owl in its cage. Daniel didn’t mind being alone. He wasn’t shy, exactly-just quiet. He liked to understand things before stepping into them.

The compartment door slid open for a moment, letting in a brief wave of chatter and cool air. Daniel raised his head.

If someone wanted to sit with him, he would nod and make space.
If not, he would simply return to watching the world outside the window - waiting for whatever came next.
