Ezekiel found a cleared spot and sat on the ground, looking out towards the forest. He had a small book in his hands. "The Maze Runner", the cover read, a muggle book that he had managed to bring along with him, and one of his personal favorites. He smiled happily to himself as he began reading, slowly flipping through the book, happily absorbing the contents.
Ezekiel was eventually laying back on the ground, the book held high above him as he read. He felt like he was home again, laying out behind his house, reading some of the books his mother had stashed away for him. It was calming being in an environment that reminded him so much of his life before Hogwarts. He took the book in one hand and outstretched his arms before bringing them together again. He wanted to read as much as he could before he had to go back to the school, but also he just wanted to stay out here and read and not go back to school. He shook his head, he was excited to be at Hogwarts, the place where his mother graduated into a full-fledged witch. Ezekiel wanted to be the same. He thought of the pendant he had left back in the dormitory. His connection with family even at Hogwarts. He grinned happily and continued to read, knowing the main points of the story and when he wanted to reach them.

Ava walked out of the castle with a quill, some ink, and some parchment. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The girl tried to recap everything that happened recently. Since she was a pure-blood, she always knew that it would come, but now that it finally came, it was so... surreal. Ava opened her eyes, took another deep breath and looked around.
She saw a boy, lying down. *Well, time to try to socialize.* she sighed and walked up to him.

"What are you reading?" she sat down next to him and looked at the cover. "'The Maze Runner'... Never heard of it." She smiled and looked at him curiously.

She yawned and took the stuff she had with her and tried to start writing a letter to her, but she couldn't think of good words. "Do you have any siblings?" she suddenly asked, out of the blue. She never met him before, she did not know his name, what was the point of asking him that? Ava had literally no idea. She sighed and looked up at the sky. It looked beautiful and somehow it was... calming.

She realized she still did not introduce herself. "Maybe I should introduce myself." She chuckled "Ava Silver, Slytherin at your service. Now, your book looks pretty interesting. Mind telling me what's it about?"

The day had been long, the classes tiring and a bore, and yet Kira found herself dreading the long hours she had left before the day finally came into an end and she could snuggle up in her warm covers to rest for the night. She strolled through the castle's grounds, the grass dry and dull as the rain refused to come down from the clouds. Kira was quite glad it had not rained in a while, as the rain was something she did not particularly enjoy.

As she walked further, two figures appeared, a boy and a girl. The boy laid on the ground, while the girl sat next to him. They were both fellow Slytherins, judging by their robes. Kira contemplated walking a bit further away from the boy and girl, as she was in no mood for a friendly conversation as of the moment. She wanted to be alone for the time being, hence her stroll on the castle grounds. However, her gaze landed on the book held in the boy's hands, and judging by the cover of it, it wasn't a book belonging to the wizarding world.

She changed direction and strutted towards the other two wizards, walking straight to the boy laying on the ground, book in the air. As she got closer, the words on the cover of what she assumed was a muggle book became clear. The Maze Runner. The designs and style of the book's cover was one she's never seen before, and Kira had to admit it looked well interesting. However, she was quite curious as to why this boy had it, and was reading it here of all places.

"That's quite a dodgy looking book. Isn't that muggle?" Kira cocked a brow up in question, her northern accent heavy and showing.

Eris couldn't help but join in on the little gathering, after seeing one of her beloved muggle books sitting in the boy's hand. She just to talk to him. Already the small red-head was hopping on her feet, excitement coursing through her, and before she could think she had ran over to the small group gathering.

"Hi, sorry to bother you but I love the book you're reading with all my heart." She said, breathlessly, offering a timid smile at the other girls than focusing her gaze on the book again. "Are you re-reading it or is it your first time reading it?" Eris normally tried not to sound like a book-geek in fear of others judging her but she was just too excited to bother. Without waiting for an invitation, she sat down. Her goal wasn't to come off as rude, but she really did want to be a part of whatever conversation was about to transpire. She was also a bit absent minded in the moment, mind in far off worlds as she thought about the book. Finally, she fixed her gaze back on the other people and a faint blush tinted her checks. Wow way to make an entrance Eris, she thought bitterly to herself as the blush grew a little bigger.

Ezekiel looked at the group who had gathered around him. "Yes, it's a muggle book. And it's also one of my favorites." He said, looking to Eris. "I've read it a few times beforehand." He smiled warmly at the whole group. "I'm glad such a simple book could gather a crowd, of other Slytherins and a Gryffindor no less." He gently closed the book and handed it to Ava to look at. "It's about a bunch of boys being stuck inside a giant maze and they have to try and escape from it. But if they get caught out at night they almost certain to die. Then one day a girl is placed into the maze, no more supplies come down to them. And now they have to escape, or die trying." He begins to ramble on about the book. "Anyways, I'm Ezekiel, Slytherin first year." He said with a grin. "I remember seeing some of your faces before during the sorting ceremony but never had a chance to talk to any of you."
He looked at Eris again, seeing how red her face had gotten, but shortly ignored it, chalking it up to her being nervous about sitting with people she doesn't know well. "And Ava, I don't have any siblings, at least as far as I know I'm an only child."

Ava chuckled. "Sounds pretty interesting!" she smiled curiously and then took the book out of his hands and started reading on the page that the boy was on. After quickly brushing through few pages, she had her eyes wide opened and was really invested in the story. "I NEED to borrow this from you." She gave the book back to the boy and smiled. "Have you read 'Tales of Beedle The Bard'? You need to read those." The girl looked around and chuckled. "What? They are like, a classic to me." she shrugged.

Ava looked around again, yawning. "This place is absolutely amazing. Have you seen the library? It's huge. Even bigger then what my sister used to tell me." she laid down on the grass and looked at the sky again. Bringing up her sister made her feel happy. It brought up a lot of memories that instantly would make her laugh or smile. "Actually," she sat back down and looked at both girls. "Girls, do you have any siblings? And," she turned to the white-haired girl. "Mind telling me your name? Your hair looks absolutely amazing." She took a deep breath. The girl loved being outside. She took a camera out of her pocket and took a surprise picture of the rest. She liked taking photos in random moments, of random things or people. It made the picture more... dynamic.

The girl stood quiet as the other Slytherin girl talked about how she loved books, and so on. Judging by the way she rambled on about them, this girl was a bookworm, just like Kira, except the other girl was far more energetic than Kira was towards those informational 'gadgets' of wonder.

"Girls do you have any siblings?" The Slytherin girl, Ava, then changed topic, and Kira shook her head at this. I wish, she had thought to herself. Kira was an only child, and for so long did she wish for that fact to change. Sadly, she highly doubted her wish would ever come true.

"And," Ava then turned to Kira, "Mind telling me you name? You hair looks absolutely amazing."
"My hair?" Kira raised an eyebrow at this. She wasn't used to getting compliments. "You must mean the colour. It's a really pale blonde, often mistaken for platinum." Her hair had always been a subject of discussion with people who weren't her family. From afar, it would truly seem as if it where a platinum blonde. However, taking a closer look, the golden colour would seem more prominent.  "And my name is Kira, by the way. Kira Callaghan."

The other Slytherin girl then took out a camera, and a bright flash would glare in Kira's eyes. She blinked for a moment, before her eyes settled down from the sudden beam of light. She looked down at the girl and cocked her head slightly in question.

Eris beamed, listening to Ezekiel talk about the book. He explained it a lot more eloquently and spoiler free that Eris ever would. She had a problem keeping her mouth shut about books, and the parts of them that made her sad or extremely happy.

When Ava asked if they had siblings, the smile slipped off of Eris's face, "I do have a sibling. She's a squib though." Or a muggle, Eris wasn't sure how she had gotten magic and Belladonna hadn't. It was confusing, and Eris didn't know anything about how the magic she had gotten had somehow not been gifted to her sister.

Eris stayed silent after that, listening to the girl with pale blonde hair talk about her hair. It was really pretty, and Eris almost wished she had hair that long and blonde, but she would probably get it all dirty, and not brush it thoroughly. When the girl said her name, Eris smiled again, wanting to seem pleasant.

Then all of a sudden there was a click and a bright flash of light. The light was so bright Eris had to shield her eyes for a moment, and when the light finally dissipated, Eris looked at Ava. "Was that a camera?" She inquired, wondering why the other girl had randomly taken a picture of them.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet all of you. I look forward to having more conversations in the future." He continued to talk but was interrupted by a camera flash "Ah!" He shook his head, unprepared for the flash, laughing afterward. "Alright,
I'll admit I was very unprepared for that, sorry about freaking out. Ms. Silver and Ms. Callaghan, I'm sure I'm likely to see more from you two. Being all of are Slytherins. As for you."
He looked to Eris. "What was your name again? I don't believe I caught it." He said with a smile.

"But I have more books should any of you want to read one of them. If you all would want the one..." He said, pointing to the Maze Runner. "I do only have that one, so someone could take that one now then I could get some more. Ezekiel grinned, some of his first friends, all bonding because he had a book from his house. Something most of the kids at the school here hadn't seen books like this, not magic based, all on things from the muggle world. It was interesting to watch the act this way over such a simple object. He could only imagine what they would do if he should them some other things from the muggle world.

Ava laughed when all of them made surprised faces at her taking a picture. "Of course it was a camera. I just like taking pictures." she took the photo and looked at it. "You really should see your faces." she chuckled and rolled her eyes. "Honestly. I think it is my biggest passion. And when you take it on a random moment, it gives it life and it is much more dynamic."

She smiled warmly and laid on the ground and passed the picture to the boy. "Your faces are pretty extreme, I gotta say," she said with a small smirk and looked at the picture once again. Only the boy had opened eyes, but all of them had shock expressions. "I will try to add the developing solution to it later. It will be much better." she thought about the small pictures as small movies, or whatever you'd call it.

She will probably have to ask her sister for the developing potion if she has some since Ava neither had the ingredients or known how to do it. I mean, she knows something about making it, but she still was very uncomfortable with it.

Ava stopped for a small moment before moving towards them again and taking the camera out of her pocket again. "Say cheese!" the girl smiled and held her camera up to take a picture, making sure no one will be out of the frame. She waited for everyone's answer and then took the picture.
