› The damn trunk was almost twice as his own size. Pushing it down the carriage was not something he planned to do. The problem was that his parents had to jump off the train almost last second, while he still did not find where to sit. Compartment after compartment were full of older students and the first years alike. Sometimes it was a mix. But the point is — not a single one had space for him and his damn heavy trunk.

› He looked in each, and finally, thank Jesus, finally he found a compartment with just two people inside. It seemed they had a nice time conversing with each other. Archibald looked at the other side of the hallway, then at his trunk. What if this was his only chance to not spend the whole journey in the hallway, sitting on his trunk? He weakly tapped on the door several times, and then opened it just a tiny bit to be able to put his face through.

"Sorry tae interrupt, but d'ye mind me joinin'? The train seems awfy packed," Sorry to interrupt, but do you mind me joining? The train seems really packed, he said through the narrow hole, which fit his head just right. He crossed his fingers behind his back instinctively, despite being totally indifferent to any prejudice.

aspian turned his gaze toward the slight interruption at the door, just enough to see a boy peeking in, his head squeezed awkwardly through the narrow opening. Caspian’s expression softened, though he kept the teasing edge in his tone.

“Not at all,” he said smoothly, sliding a bit to make room on the seat. “Come on in. The train’s packed today, so any chance to sit somewhere is a blessing.” He gave a small, inviting nod toward the empty space next to him.

Caspian leaned back against the window, letting his relaxed posture set the tone. “Hope you don’t mind a little company,” he added, glancing at the new boy. “We’re a friendly bunch—mostly harmless.”

“What’s your name?” he asked, genuinely curious, glancing at the trunk the boy had been struggling with. “And uh… do you need help with that monster of yours?”

He didn’t wait long for an answer, already getting up to aid him. Caspian bent slightly, reaching for one of the handles on the trunk. “Here—before it eats you alive,” he joked, hauling the edge up with a tug. Between the two of them, the trunk scraped forward with a heavy thunk before sliding neatly under the seat.

“There,” Caspian said, dusting his hands together with a grin. “You survive another day.” He flopped back into his seat, stretching one leg out lazily like the whole effort hadn’t cost him a thing.

› He was so eager to finally end the burden of the trunk and sit somewhere already, that "Not at all" was enough for him to start opening the door with all the 11 years old might that he had. While listening to the rest of the invitation.

› The boy was speaking as if he was a noble elf, not less. While Archibald was coping with the heaving, he honestly tried to listen. Maybe he was of some royal blood, or something. He never heard anyone speaking in such light and easy language, at the same time sounding like a poet.

› Halfway through the door, the boy asked for the name, while Archibald was standing with his back turned to him. He spun on the spot, wiping the sweat off his forehead with his left hand, while stretching out the right one for the handshake: "Archibald it is, nice tae meet ye.""Archibald it is, nice to meet you."

› The proposed help with the trunk was appreciated. The boy, while not looking quite bulky, dealt with the trunk as if it was some kind of sport bag, before Archibald could accept the help or react in any other way.

› As his trunk filled the hole under the seat naturally, Archibald looked at it with the gaze of amazement, switching the gaze between the boy and the trunk. "How old are ye? This must've been some kind of magic,""How old are you? This must have been some kind of magic," he said, clearly not believing it could have been done by a single person, as the boy returned to his seat.

› Now there was a choice: sit on the line with the girl, or with the boy, but face the girl. Failing to perform a proper analysis or brain work, he just took the seat next to the boy, smiling awkwardly. "And sorry, I totally missed yer name in the process,""And sorry, I totally missed your name in the process," he inquired at once, after a second or two.
