The Dark and the Damp
Kael and Jasper make their way to the plant filled greenhouses with numerous plants, like Venomous Tentacula, Dittany, and a number of other strange plants Kael had never seen before.
Opening the doors to Greenhouse One, Kael could see that the classroom was dimly lit, vines hanging from the ceiling, a patch of Devil's Snare pulsing like it was breathing.
"Remember - it loves the dark but fears the light. Today I will be teaching you a spell to repel it, this is the Fire Creating Charm. Now, follow my steps." the Professor said, pulling out her wand. "Incendio!" she bellowed, as a jet of fire sprang from her wand, making the Devil's Snare recoil violently.
The class tries to cast their spell.
"Incendio!"
"Incendio!"
Two people said at once, who were Jasper and Kael. A jet of flames sprung out of their wands, making the Devil's Snare cringe away from the light and heat. A student looked pale and white after almost being strangled by the Devil's Snare. Someone's Incendio goes wrong and they accidentally singed a few innocent daisies in the corner.
After the bell rings signaling the end of class, the fire from the torches driving back the darkness, making the Devil's Snare retreat.
"Fun class, wasn't it?" said Jasper when they were going back to the common room.
