Under the stars
It was Wednesday. Today was Lily's first Astronomy class. She was excited about learning about the celestial bodies in the sky. She was also excited at the thought of being awake in the midnight. She loved looking at the dark sky. Having an interest in stars since childhood, she had learnt a lot about them. Her grandfather also told stories about it when he was alive. Lily choked back a sob; remembering her grandfather had always been emotional especially if she was looking at something he loved.
She went up the tower surrounded by her room mates, chatting about the first lesson and what might be taught. She truly hoped that the first lecture would go well. She also hoped that the knowledge her grandfather had given her would come to work today. She wanted to make her grandfather proud, even in the heaven. Remembering him, a sad smile formed on her face.
Letting the thought of her grandfather drift aside, she focused on the present. She wasn't going to let the thought disturb her mood.
As she and her friends reached the top of the tower, she saw that the professor was already present there, waiting for all the students to come.
"The sky looks so beautiful right now.", Lily muttered under her breath, staring at the midnight sky with big eyes...................

Leo had made his way up to the Astronomy Tower with his fellow lion first years, chatting with his friends in the process. He was a dhampiar, so he knew he wasn't going to get tired easily, plus he actually loved the night, especially all the lights in the sky. Leo was interested in Astronomy since he always looked up at the sky back home. His sister, Annabeth, who's a fifth year, pointed out some constellations to Leo, and she even taught him how to use a telescope, so he'd be ready when he attended his first Astronomy class.
Entering the classroom, Leo directly looked up at the stars, a smile on his face. From where he was standing on the Astronomy Tower, he felt like he was so close to the stars that if he raised his arm, he'd be able to touch them. Leo looked to his left when he heard a girl mumble about the sky looking so beautiful. He found himself agreeing with her as he said,
"You're right. The sky is indeed beautiful, especially with all the light that the moon and the stars give to it during the nighttime." Leo knew he could spend the entire night up here, studying the stars, but that wouldn't be very good, since the young lion has classes tomorrow, like all his other classmates.
