Goodbye Forever
All four Heads of House announce their mutual resignation. They claim they’re stepping aside to "allow for the next generation of leadership," citing age, reform, and academic renewal. They give speeches. The Great Hall holds a ceremony. Students clap, unsure whether to cheer or worry.

October 19, 2025
It was dinner hour in the Great Hall. The enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall mirrored a soft fall evening, lavender clouds drifting across a slowly darkening sky with a twinkling of faint, pale stars. Hundreds of floating candles flickered gently overhead, casting a golden hue across rows of students gathered for what was supposed to be a routine meal.
However, the mood in the Great Hall on this day was far from ordinary.
At the staff table, Headmaster Lear rose slowly. His expression was unreadable. The coppery sheen of his armor so often burnished to a gleam looked somehow dulled, though that must have been a trick of the candlelight. A hush rippled through the Hall. Even the ghosts had fallen silent.
The headmaster held a slender parchment in one hand. When he spoke, his voice was steady and clear, but his tone carried the weight of something unspoken beneath it. “It is not often that Hogwarts finds itself standing at the end of an age… and rarer still when it must acknowledge such a change all at once.”
The words hung in the air, heavy with implication. The old man's gaze shifted to his right, where the Heads of House sat in their familiar line.
Closest was Professor @Caradoc Browne, long-serving Head of Hufflepuff. He had once stepped away from the role, only to return again, as though the castle itself had drawn him back and he answered Hogwart's call. Much of Caradoc's life had been lived beneath its enchanted rafters, and it showed. His face, however, was unsettling in its stillness. Not to the casual observer of course, the might only see calm composure, but to those who knew him, the absence of his usual warm grin was jarring. That silence in his expression was not peace, it was restraint.
Beside him sat his cousin, @Galahad Browne, the stalwart Head of Gryffindor. A contrast to his cousin in nearly every way. His lips were drawn thin, his fingers tightly interlaced atop the table. His plate remained untouched, though his goblet had been emptied, twice. One might reasonably guess that the liquid within had not been pumpkin juice. Galahad had long since learned that sometimes courage came easier when the nerves were gently drowned.
Beyond them sat @Marcus Iwasaki, the Head of Ravenclaw's face was impassive, his bearing straight. Once, the very notion of a werewolf on Hogwarts’ staff would have provoked public outcry. But those days were, mercifully, behind them. Marcus had earned his place, but that did not make tonight easier.
To Marcus' left sat Professor @Lesmana Asmaralaya, the most recent addition to the ranks, the somewhat newly appointed Head of Slytherin. He watched the students with quiet sorrow, too new to be jaded, but seasoned enough to recognize the shape of coming change.
Beside him, an empty chair waited. The Deputy Headmistress, @Hjørdis Jensen, was notably absent, a rare breach of punctuality. And yet… tonight, it seemed that even time itself was holding its breath.
Just as Nora wordlessly slid into her seat, Headmaster Lear raised his voice once more. "Tonight, I must announce that all four Heads of House: Galahad and Caradoc Browne, Professors Iwasaki, and Asmaralaya, will be stepping down from their posts... effective immediately."
The reaction was immediate. Gasps rippled across the hall. A few students half-rose from their benches. Others turned toward their house tables in confusion. Was this a joke? A test?
A joke would have been nice.
"Let me be clear," Lear continued, "this is not a punishment, nor scandal, nor a sign of danger. They are stepping aside not out of failure, but because Hogwarts is changing, as it always does. And sometimes… the old magic requires room to breathe." His voice wavered, but found strength half-way through. He had to say something, and these words were so carefully rehearsed. "Each House will be guided in the coming weeks by interim guardians. Trials of leadership, character, and cooperation may soon be asked of you. These are not easy days ahead, but they will be defining ones."
There were a of of questions left in the air. Who was going to take over the head of house for each of the four houses? Were they withholding some vital thread of information?
"May your house be your strength, but not your boundary. You are not just the inheritors of Hogwarts... you are its future."
He sat.
A single floating candle above the staff table flickered once, then extinguished itself entirely. Its smoke curled silently upward, as the whispers began to swell. Shadows covered the staff table in a quiet gloom as the evening carried on, harried and stressed.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

@Caradoc Browne
It was a good week. Not too much out of the ordinary, but just enough to make Opeila enter the Great Hall with a little spring in her step. The Slytherin hadn't organized any events in a while and it made her happy to see her little spell class end so successfully. Even if she was leaving Hogwarts soon- maybe she could make a lasting difference for the new kids.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice Professor Lear standing up from his chair right away, but the hall quieted down quickly. It was rare that the headmaster spoke to them all and when he did... it was usually serious.
Opeila's good mood got cracks immediately, as dread seemed to pool in her stomach. She put down the cutlery, no longer hungry.
“It is not often that Hogwarts finds itself standing at the end of an age… and rarer still when it must acknowledge such a change all at once.”
Alright. This was something big. Lear made a dramatic pause. Opeila dug her nails into her palms.
"Tonight, I must announce that all four Heads of House: Galahad and Caradoc Browne, Professors Iwasaki, and Asmaralaya, will be stepping down from their posts... effective immediately."
Opeila's jaw dropped. Then her heart. It was good that she had put down the cutlery, for she would have otherwise dropped that as well. Whispers and murmurs echoed through the hall, as the students were all processing the news in their own ways. Opeila's way was stunned silence, while she tried to wrap her head around the meaning of those news.
"Let me be clear, this is not a punishment, nor scandal, nor a sign of danger. They are stepping aside not out of failure, but because Hogwarts is changing, as it always does. And sometimes… the old magic requires room to breathe. Each House will be guided in the coming weeks by interim guardians. Trials of leadership, character, and cooperation may soon be asked of you. These are not easy days ahead, but they will be defining ones."
Granted, Opeila didn't know most of the heads of house well. She had barely exchanged a word or two with Gryffindor Professor Browne and Professor Iwasaki, and her own head of house... well, if she was honest, she had kept her distance from him as well as Professor Wickham-Deakin. It wasn't their fault that Professor Jensen had left house Slytherin, but Opeila had never been able to feel quite as comfortable around them.
No, Opeila's eyes were locked on the Hufflepuff head of house. He had left Hogwarts before, but he had returned only a few months later. Somehow it hadn't even really sunken in then, maybe because there were still the other heads of house. Not this time. Opeila felt that this was going to be a goodbye for good. She could still remember the silly dancing in the halls, the time she had trusted him with her fears. They hadn't spoken much after, but to Opeila, Caradoc Browne had been a safe place as much as very needed occasional comedic relief at Hogwarts.
It wasn't fair, Opeila knew it wasn't and yet she couldn't help the feeling of betrayal closing around her heart. He had been here when she got here. He had been supposed to be here when she left. She looked down the staff table, at the four professors, lingering on Professor Iwasaki, the second oldest of the four, before returning to Professor Browne. They looked different now. Tired.
The seventh-year blinked rapidly, her throat tightening as the sting of abandonment settled in.
OOC note: Thank you all for your hard workYou will be missed!

Date : October 19th, 2025 Color code : Written|Thought|Said The atmosphere in the Great Hall during dinner was somehow gloomy for reasons Sere couldn't quiet understand. Was it because of the Quidditch and half of the Duelling matches that had taken place today? Gloom can arise after a loss, that's a natural part of any sport. However, no one enjoys losing; and since each team represents its respective house, losing here was no longer a personal-level matter, it was a house-level matter.
Sere took a bite of her roasted chicken while scanning the hall. Strange. If this were simply about sports, the professors shouldn't be affected. How could that unreadable expression on Headmaster Lear's face be caused by a certain match? If it was really caused by that, Sere had to find out which house he secretly supported -so much- so that it affected his mood in front of everyone at dinner.
Just at the right time, Headmaster Lear stood up and gave an announcement that made Sere reflexively whisper in disbelief, "Huh?"
Had this -all four Heads of Houses and the Deputy of Headmistress announcing their retirement at the exact same time- ever happened before? Sere wasn't sure. She should ask the History of Magic Professor about that. But did this all sound normal? No, of course not.
Had there been an argument, or a fight between the professors? That was the only possibility a fourteen-year-old girl could think of. She saw their tired faces. Perhaps it was because students these days were becoming increasingly wild and uncontrollable? No, this possibility was nonsense. Who wouldn't turn into a sweet kitten in front of the intimidating Professor Iwasaki?
Whatever it was, the reason behind all this gloomy atmosphere became clear after the headmaster's announcement. Many questions filled Sere's mind, including Headmaster Lear's closing remark that sounded anything but consoling. The trials, the interim guardians, and the future of Hogwarts were far too-big to be called "consolatory".
Sere sighed. Her mind raced, searching for the most rational thread that could connect all these strange things. Great, very great. Before she could realize it, her mood had became as gloomy as the entire hall.Interacting with : -

![]() It was dinner time and Kim had come to the Great Hall as usual to munch on the delicious food served there. He was wearing his school robes but had cast a spell to make them appear to be Slytherin robes. It made sense as he'd always felt as if he needed to be a Slytherin for his father. Not to mention how Colin was in Slytherin and was one of the few left in his original circle who was still at Hogwarts. He made his way over to the Slytherin table and took a seat near Colin. Yes, Kim was a Gryffindor but he usually sat with Colin nowadays often. It just made him feel better. Sometimes Bailey sat with them too but her robes remained Ravenclaw. But something was up with Hogwarts tonight as Headmaster Lear stood up slowly to gather attention from all the students and professors sitting at the tables. Chatter died down until the entire hall was silent as they all looked up at the headmaster. Even the ghosts were silent which was a first for them. End of an age? Kim's brow furrowed. Did this have to do with everything that had been going on over the past few years at Hogwarts? The strange occurrences that had taken place, at first slowly but then with growing frequency as time passed. The hag infiltration in the forest which had even spread to Hogwarts students and corrupted them from the inside. Kim himself had been affected too, without even realizing it until it was too late. He still didn't remember everything. As Headmaster Lear continued to speak, Kim blinked as Lear glanced over at the current Heads of Houses sitting nearby, the newest Head of Slytherin Lesmana seemed saddened. It was only after Lear gave the announcement that Kim's brow furrowed further. What... something must be wrong, this kind of action was unprecedented. Yes, the heads of houses had resigned before. But all four of them at the same time? There had to be something more to this. Not to mention Lesmana had just joined their ranks and yet she was giving up??? Now? So soon after she'd secured her position? No, it didn't make sense. Not only that but the change was effective immediately? This wasn't normal, even if they had all decided to resign, it usually took a period of time. Even in the muggle world resigning didn't mean it would be immediate, you had to give two weeks notice. These thoughts and more whirled around in Kim's mind but he didn't vocally emit any of it to anyone out loud, at least not yet. Lear spoke again, trying to reassure them that it wasn't a punishment, scandal or threat of danger. But Kim couldn't believe Lear now. They were just words. Especially with all what had been going on. Over the past year. Change. It kind of made sense. But it would have made more sense if it had happened during a period of peace. With everything that was brewing now, it made Kim feel even more unsettled. Interim guardians? Trials? Kim's brow furrowed again. He didn't know what to say or think about all of this but there was definitely something going on behind the scenes. Whatever that might be. Kim glanced over at Colin, wondering what his friend thought of all this. Kibō hissed on his shoulder and Kim nodded. "What do you think of all this, Colin?" He asked his friend. Kim hadn't seen Bailey which made him a bit nervous. But that didn't mean she wasn't there. She could have been at the Ravenclaw table and he just hadn't seen her. But usually Bailey would seek him out at dinner. ![]() |

Blue in English, Red in KoreanEun-ji was not rushing to the Great Hall. She wasn’t expecting anything ground breaking to happen that day. The witch simply received an owl from her friend and decided to join him for dinner. Honestly, she was glad he even wanted to hang out with her. Not just because of the whole ‘Charles’ fiasco but also because she was generally not that pleasant to be around on most days. Still, when it came to Kim, she tried. Same couldn’t be said for many others.
With Mordred by her side, Eun-ji finally walked into the hall, her heels clicking along the stone floor. Noticing all the whispers from her peers and their collective focus, she quickly observed the headmaster taking his usual spot at the podium. Oh no, what is it this time? She cursed inwardly. Didn’t Hogwarts experience plenty of unpleasant surprises already? The young ballerina really wished her last year would be at least somewhat peaceful. There was enough drama in her personal life already so she wanted to believe that whatever Lear was about to say, was going to be good news but the she was not exactly a master in optimism. Besides, if she expected the worst, the disappointment wouldn’t hit as hard.
Not spotting Kim immediately, the witch initially sat at the end of the Ravenclaw table. She listened to the speech while her gaze surveyed the room to locate the little lion. Well not so little anymore I suppose. Even with the distraction however, Eun-ji couldn’t really miss the message. And what a crappy message it was. She may have not gasped at the news like many others did, but she certainly felt some type of way about it. Narrowing her eyes, Eun-ji briefly scrutinized the headmaster and all the Heads of the houses. Really? Immediately? No gossip or transition period…just like that? If that didn’t scream suspicious, then she didn’t know what did.
At last, the witch finally spotted Kim at the Slytherin table and stood to move towards him. “...And sometimes… the old magic requires room to breathe.” Eun-ji scoffed at the flowery words. “Gura chiji ma.” Basically means “Stop bullshitting” in Korean. She muttered just as she was taking a seat next to the blonde Gryffindor. She snapped her fingers at Mordred and the cat obediently slipped under the bench further away from Kim. “Does he think we are all stupid? Now that’s just insulting.” Right…evening ruined.
It has been some time since Eun-ji gave up on adults but @Marcus Iwasaki was actually one of the few, she somewhat liked. She was there when he was appointed the Head of the Ravenclaw house. They even held a welcome party for him. He was also there to supervise her Animagus ritual despite being busy with his own responsibilities and his little werewolf problem. She wasn’t particularly happy to see him go and she was pretty certain him and the rest of his colleagues didn’t choose this for some fancy propaganda of new Hogwarts. Someone or something was making them leave and they wouldn’t tell them why. Sure, the young students should probably be sheltered to some degree but the older ones? Why were they still being fed lies after they’ve seen things going south so many times over the years? They already had to defend themselves in the past and now they were actually better equipped to do so. Having an intel on what exactly they were supposed to protect themselves from, would sure help a lot. Didn’t the school owe them at least that much courtesy? Apparently not…

♫ Never be so polite you forget your power... never wield such power you forget to be polite. ♫
The day had, at first, been a fairly ordinary one, just like any Sunday was for the young Ravenclaw: full of polishing orreries in the Astronomy tower, finishing Charms essays tucked in that one favoured window seat in the library, popping by the kitchens to test out new recipes for the upcoming edition of the Headliner, and, of course, swinging by the Quidditch pitch for that match against Slytherin (no small thing, that). She had worked up quite an appetite during the match (and her recovery in the Hospital Wing after it... perhaps less ordinary than usual, then) and hadn't even had time to go to Ravenclaw Tower to change out of her somewhat bloody underclothing and drop off her Seeker's uniform - no, Aly had come straight to the dinner hour once she had been discharged. Upon the food appearing on the tables, she went ravenously for a platter of roast chicken, only barely remembering to scoop some sides of mash and peas onto her plate as well. So engrossed in the meal was she that she almost didn't notice the hush fall over the hall as Headmaster Lear stood to address the gathered students and faculty. Almost.
Lear's first sentence caught her attention, and the Ravenclaw seventh-year raised her head, still with a mouthful of savoury roast chicken caught between her teeth, to look at him. The headmaster seemed older today, somehow, which was saying something given how grey he usually looked; the parchment in his hand gave the impression that something important was afoot, confirmed by the weight of his words. Aly turned them over in her head for a moment as the man paused. The end of an age... acknowledge a change. Is Lear finally retiring? The stalwart, perpetually vexed head of Hogwarts was an institution, his very name used for sayings much like Merlin or one of the school's founders themselves - Aly couldn't imagine what the future might be like without him at the helm. Her eyes strayed, of course, to the other staff at the table, wondering who would step up to replace - well, not him, because that would naturally be Deputy Headmistress Jensen, but one of the Heads of Houses would likely take her spot. Aly's eyes flitted to her own stone-faced Head of House, @Marcus Iwasaki. Perhaps he would take the role, though Aly found herself wishing he wouldn't. Someone else would have to step in for Ravenclaw, and there would be no one quite like him. Plus, I couldn't make jokes about @Haven Bohannon's Pygmy Puff being my Head of House anymore if he were to be promoted...
But, as per usual, Aly's runaway train of thought was derailed by the real world. Lear had not finished talking, and as the deputy headmistress slid into her seat, the head of the school announced not his own retirement but the stepping down of four of his most trusted staff. It was like a needle to the heart with each name: Browne (times two)... Asmaralaya... Iwasaki.
Never in her wildest nightmares, her worst dreams, could Aly have predicted this - but, then again, there was a reason she wasn't a Seer.
The roast chicken fell from her mouth, hitting her plate with a wet plop, and her tutor Lady Prudence would have hexed her on sight if she had been there to see this egregious breach of manners - and, yet, Aly didn't care about etiquette for once. She gaped up at the high table, her classmates clearly equally shocked as gasps and cries of surprise and disappointment arose from around her, and though she tried to catch the eyes of someone around her - anyone she could ask, to make sure this wasn't a joke or a hallucination or some sort of sick and twisted fantasy - everyone was glued to Lear's words as he continued on, babbling some bull about this not being a punishment or a scandal. Aly scoffed. Not a scandal, your arse. If there wasn't an article about this in the next Headliner edition, let alone the next Prophet, she would eat her favourite pointy school hat.
Something had been afoot, all right. Aly's gaze raked over the four Heads of House - sorry, now-former Heads of House - but their faces were unreadable. Her own eyes welled with tears at the sight of Marcus's face. He had been a most wonderful mentor to her, a help with the Quidditch team, a role model beyond all role models. What she would do without him now, Aly had no idea, but she knew this for sure: no one could ever fill his shoes, not in quite exactly the same way.

Goodbye Forever

The school year had been going quite well thus far! Mostly it had been Emmi centered, which suited Colin most perfectly! Ever since summer, he'd gotten to spend quite a lot of time with his best girl, starting with the Werewolf night at Tes's, the ride back to Hogwarts, Emmi's birthday, and he was quite looking forward to going to the fall ball with her! The evening meal had progressed without major incident. Colin's plate consisted of its usual contents: some sausages, a couple hard boiled eggs, and cheese. The sausage here was really very good, and the cheese nice and sharp! A cup of cold water rounded everything out nicely. Let the other kids indulge in pumpkin juice, fried rat legs, and sweets!
Colin liked to just stare over towards the Hufflepuff table. He was across from where Emily liked to sit, and AngelFyre and Simon weren't far away. Lucky. He wasn't sure which he would rather have: himself in Hufflepuff, or Emmi in Slytherin! He felt a presence next to him. Familiar, yet unexpected. Emily's eyes were glimmering and her speech animated as she chatted with her friends. He was half expecting to see Scout there with her!
The newcomer jabbed Colin's ribs, no doubt to arouse him from his Emmi induced daydreaming! The sounds in the great hall came back into stark and immediate focus. The scents and sights brightened. "Eep!" Colin turned to the kid who had poked him. Kim! He still wasn't used to his old mate Kim Aoki camouflaging his robes to SLytherin green! He smiled and chatted a bit with Kim.
The gay mood abruptly turned towards anticipation as Headmaster Lear stood up, a roll of parchment in his hand. Kim turned to watch, and so did Colin. Twas unusual, really, for him to holding a roll of parchment. Speeches were to be expected. Plumbing in Ravenclaw Tower was out of service until the reducio charms could be reversed. A request for assistance with an invasion of Doxies in the fourth floor classrooms. Professor McCoire wishes to remind all students that the large brass telescope at the far end of the observatory has unexpectedly trapped four adventuresome first years and a cat, kindly refrain from taunting the students until they can be properly extricated. Foreign students shall be arriving shortly at Hogwarts; we do not expect any unforeseen deaths this year. Usual stuff.
Colin slipped back into a daydream about rounding up doxies with Emmi as Headmaster Lear's words floated through his ears. End of an age. Acknowledging changes all at once. Wait. What? Colin's attention refocussed on the staff table. His quick eyes glanced over towards Professor McCoire --- probably the most difficult aspect of having is older brother teaching a class at Hogwarts was that he could no longer call him by his old family nickname, RapRap. And that was only seconded by Professor McCoire having free reign to tease him and Liam without any recourse to Ma and Da!
Rigel's face betrayed nothing. Colin wondered. He was pretty new after all, and hadn't had enough time to learn any of the professorial gossip! And then the words hit. All four heads of house will be stepping down effective immediately. Colin thought all four of them had been quite effective, and wasn't quite sure what that meant. Professor Iwasaki, certainly, was effective at leading a bunch of teenager werewolves over to that horrible shack every month, and made sure that no one neglected their wolfsbane potion.
Rigel's eyes widened. Colin heard gasps of surprise from around the hall. His eyes sought Opeila first of all. She was a seventh year and had been attacked by just about everything the wizarding world could throw at a kid, plus she was a former Prefect and, well, she just knew things. Her expression was as shocked as anyone's!
Then he turned to Kim. Kim turned to Colin. Headmaster Lear continued in his calm way --- until even his strong demeanour faltered slightly. "This is not a punishment, nor scandal, nor a sign of danger.
Colin blinked, still staring into Kim's eyes. As Headmaster Lear finished up, the candles over the staff table snuffed out, leaving that part of the hall in shadows. Colin was stunned. Nothing like this had ever happened at Hogwarts as long as he could remember. Admittedly, that wasn't very back in time, but still. Kibō whispered something to Kim. Kim asked him: "What do you think of all this, Colin?"
His first instinct, naturally, was to call it straight. "I think it's sus, lad. Something's going on that they're not telling us. You heard what Headmaster Lear said: tis no punishment, nor scandal, nor danger. Kim. When has anything that's happened at Hogwarts not been dangerous?" His mind recalled the dangers and attacks he knew of. "I mean, right? Last year? How many kids were blown up over in Hogsmeade? And me own American cousin one of them? And the hag doll a couple years ago?" Colin nodded along the table. "And our Pei, she's been attacked loads of times!"
Colin turned to face Kim on the wooden bench. "And a couple years ago, our Loops was in an attack down in London! And don't forget those crazy mushrooms that attacked the school! I swear Kim --- I smelled them in Hogsmeade, and I smelled them in the toilet when Slytherin House was attacked last year. Someone tried to drown us all! And there have been other attacks around Hogsmeade. And even near home..."
He thought about all the werewolf activity up his way in the relatively empty parts of the Highlands. Even moves against his own family. One of these days, he'd have to tell Kim about all this! Colin's brows knit with concentration. "The attack in London, I know was SCAR. I wonder if they're at all connected? All I know, Kim, is that when Headmaster Lear says there's no danger, there's danger. Maybe he can't come right out and tell us, ye know? Maybe there's a spy? Or dark wizards about!"
The hall was filled with conspiratorial whispering, speculation, questions, and an overarching sense of ill ease. Colin looked for Emily's face, but he couldn't catch sight of her. He couldn't locate Fyre or Liam either. He knew they would all fight if Hogwarts were ever threatened. And hadn't he solemnly sworn to protect Emily? "One thing I do know, Kim," Colin said brightly; "if anyone, dark wizard or faction or evil tyrant, should try and attack the school, I shall stand against them and fight!"

┏ ┓ There soon arose categories of reactions: startled gasps, outraged exclamations, and the crushing spectacle of several children verging on tears. Pericles was sorted among the shocked starers. In this instance of immense uncertainty, the child he'd once been peeked out from behind the warlock he'd become. He had been slow to warm up to Iwasaki after the loss of Alaric, their previous Head of House. Time and again, despite his doubts, the newcomer never failed to prove himself. They always managed to when it mattered most. Pericles' blind faith in "grownups" had come and gone, maturing into the realization that life wasn't divided between clueless kids and omnipotent adults, but rather the self-centered and the selfless. Their mentors were selfless, devoted to the education and well-being of all under that enchanted ceiling. So why were they leaving now? The reasons rang hollow. It felt like a tragic loss, almost sudden as a death, only the lot of them were still just there at the table- hardly out of reach.
Pericles' stunned expression slid from the Headmaster to Deputy Headmistress, something terribly close to fear manifesting. She seemed to hold Hogwarts together, the guiding hand which led even Lear during his state of recovery. What were they going to do without her? Both organic and enchanted eyes finally landed on the stony countenance of his (now former) Head of House. Confusion and hurt rapidly devolved into resentment as the announcement came to a close and the Hall was left to chatter. His mind went to his fellow seventh-year eagles (@Dealla Prince, @Eun-ji Lee Hunt, and @Aly Salinger), yet his face turned towards his plate rather than seek their reactions. A stoniness mirroring Marcus' was gradually adopted. Pericles speared a roasted beet from a platter, and with a needless degree of focus and force, began to cut. The knife squeaked shrill notes against the ceramic plate between bites. Absorbed in quiet, angry chewing, the teenager shirked his abandonment issues out of sheer spite. They didn't want to speak? Fine. He didn't want to listen.
"The Ministry is expected to continue its consultation role in the months ahead."
Pericles would spend the coming days drifting about like a resident poltergeist, avoiding interactions with the staff while continuously keeping tabs on them, surveilling new arrivals with a misguided leer- most of all Marcus' suspiciously solid replacement, @Jessamine Lancaster.┗ ┛
