Ruka smiled brightly when he saw Gris, the Gryffindor Prefect, approaching their table, and he gave her a small wave in greeting, nodding at the boy she brought along.

Hi Gris,“ he said, chuckling lightly when the other boy introduced himself as Alan. „Nice to meet you. Looks like we‘re gathering a flock of Alans at this table.“ He smiled amicably and was just about to offer the two of them a seat, when someone ripped his tea cup out of his hand, and a number of things happened in such fast succession that he wasn‘t able to keep up with any of it;

The girl who had apparently been responsible for pouring hot tea over another student had made their way over to them, saying something about them having sent Opeila after her, then a splash of tea hit him on the side of his face, albeit much less than he had expected because for whatever reason, the kid with the fedora and sunglasses had thrown himself between him, Alan, and the furious girl.

He had noticed a hand reaching for his hair, and despite the fact that the fedora kid had grabbed her wrist to stop her, She had still managed to push at his head enough to make his forehead connect with the table top with a sickening crack.
A stinging pain shot through his entire body, vision going blurry at the impact. „Ouch,“ he yelped, probably not sounding nearly as in pain as he actually was.
With a little whimper he straightened up again and lifted his hand to wipe a small trickle of blood away from where his forehead must have hit exactly the edge of the table.

It was fine, he had experienced worse in his life, but the dizziness still made him feel disoriented for a good while - Long enough to blink in confusion when he recognised the fedora boy‘s voice and his specific way of only using Ruka‘s last name.

Jack?“ he asked incredulously as he attempted to stand up, just to topple backwards into his seat again from the ongoing dizziness. At the same time he watched as the blonde girl pushed her elbow into Jack‘s abdomen, making the Slytherin boy stumble backwards under what Ruka could only imagine had to be extreme and unexpected pain. „What the hell?“ he asked, looking around the table, from Gris to the two Alans. He was acutely aware that he still had a small trail of blood pooling just above his right eyebrow but he chose to ignore it for the sake of understanding what was going on.

Alan‘s concern was like a blur to him, as if the other boy was talking to him from under water, and Ruka could do barely anything but blink at him. „I‘m fine, I‘m fine,“ he mumbled, shaking his head for just a split second before he realised that the movement hurt too much to continue. „Really, it‘s okay, I‘ve had worse.“
His head was spinning, his ears ringing like someone had placed a bell inside his head, but he couldn‘t let that worry him right now.

He had to figure out what the hell had just happened.

With all his gathered strength he stood up, shooting the people at his table an apologetic look, and followed Jack and the girl a few steps away right into a student who had to be about twice his size and didn‘t look at all happy about whatever it was that was going on here.

Or maybe he had just started hallucinating?

Wait, why the hell -“ he called after them, desperate to know why the girl had decided to try and attack him specifically, but before he could finish, he realised that the tall boy had to be a Prefect who was probably going to assess the situation without needing Ruka picking a fight.

Staying a step back, Ruka decided not to say anything after all, even if he had a few things burning on the tip of his tongue.
Instead, he listened to the blonde girl talking like she was extremely proud of all the mayhem she had caused, her face far too calm for someone who had seemingly just decided to attack people out of boredom.

Ruka wanted to chime in, to demand an apology from her, an explanation, some sign of remorse, but before he could, Jack was already telling the tall boy what he assumed the girl‘s reasonings were, and something about his words made Ruka‘s own need for answers die down a little bit.
He studied the girl for a moment, considering her actions. Despite how harmful they had been, could they genuinely just have been an attempt to connect to people, no matter how negative the connection?

His eyes drifted back to Jack who had said some of the same things to Ruka about himself the first time they had met.
The anger and confusion inside him ebbed down as he took one step closer, clearing his throat. „I think she thought I sent my friend to attack her, that’s why she tried to attack me,“ he added in explanation as he didn‘t really know anything about what had happened before that.

He looked at the girl, curiosity overwhelming the confusion and anger. „But I didn‘t,“ he told her, words slurring a bit from all the ringing still in his ears. „You tried to hurt me for no reason.“ He took a deep breath, shaking his head before turning to Jack for a second, unable to suppress a bemused smile at his camouflage attire. He mouthed a small thank you at the Slytherin boy, for having stopped the other girl from actually doing any real damage, then decided to just leave them all be.

Was it really that important if the girl got punished for what she had done? Did it really matter why she had done it either? In the end, it wouldn‘t fix anything anyway.

God he felt dizzy.

Then, turning back to Gris and the two Alans, he reached up to touch some of the dried blood above his eyebrow, sighing heavily. „I should probably go,“ he said, face fallen in defeat. „Sorry about all of that.“ Despite the fact that he hadn‘t actually initiated any of what had happened, he still felt the need to apologise to all the bystanders; they had just come here for some good time and to earn some house points, and instead they had to deal with all of this now.

It was probably best for him to leave, to dry up the tea on his face and take care of the cut on his forehead. This tea party had very quickly taken a turn for the worse.

But first,“ he said, the adrenaline and light head injury making him feel like he was going to pass out, and he let himself drop into one of the pink cushioned arm chairs. „I think I need to sit down for a minute.“

“Hey, uhm, you okay, mate?”

No, I really wasn’t. I jumped out of my skin, although the reaction was delayed as it took a few moments for me to realize that someone was addressing me.

“I-I’m fine,” I lied with a stammer. I was about as bad as they came when it came to lying.

“Looking a green around the gills, you know.”

“Not a big fan of crowds,” I admitted a half-truth as I looked him over. Why did I do that? I wanted to know how bad things could go if they went wrong, it was something about this survival mindset that had been ingrained into me for the past year. Yeah, I wasn’t the smallest person here. I spied a few and even envied the one that brought a stuffed animal. If it was not for the fact that bringing one in public would have served as girl repellent and I officially evicted my plushy assembly when I was seven, I would have been comforted by one right about now too. I had also gotten a glimpse of a part-giant as well. I was by far not the biggest either.

I was not much of a conversationalist, I felt the most comfortable with my very small friend group or in my dorm. Not that any of the snakes there really knew me, in fact it was the opposite, for the most part I was able to live outside their notice. It was nice. It was safe. This social anxiety was a cumulative development that had really taken hold these past few months. There were a lot of people that were none-too-pleased about the verdict in the Umbridge murder, just like Athanatos had warned.

“Hey! I’m Wren! Who are you?”

A pretty girl introduced herself, from what little his panicked mind could gather she knew the guy I was talking to. Probably his date, he was pretty. Commendable really.

“Victor,” he muttered in a low voice. His nonverbals indicating that he was incredibly nervous and defensive. The hairs on the back of his neck were standing on end, a detail most would not see but they would likely note his crossed arms over his chest, his stiff posture and the fact that he was trying to keep himself equidistant from everyone in the room. His constantly changing gaze on everyone and everything around him, not just the do attempting to engage him in conversation.

There was something going on behind them, Wren and the guy I did not yet know. There was a growing, dense crowd of students pocketing some sort of loud drama. I let out an audible groan as my eyes set on the chaos behind them. I had not been to the Blossom Ball or the Masquerade, thank Merlin. Vlad was always insistent that we, me and Marion should stay in together, so we always had. The next day, battered, traumatized and often smelling of smoke they would limp into the Slytherin common room and regale those that did not come with tales of war-time horror. I never wanted anything to do with that, leave the near-death experiences to the Gryffindors, they were sorted into the protagonist house for a reason. A bit of mustered courage, I would address the chaos. “What is going on over there?” I was not a brave boy, far from it but there was a lingering spark of concern for others. Not enough to tackle a part-giant, heck even a tall student. I might be able to give a stern gaze to the stuffed animal being clutched by the Hufflepuff (not that I would know his house)..

There was this impulsive want to help. To prevent the chaos,

That was until Piérre Marchonné, not that he knew the Gryffindor-Slytherin’s name approached me and I visibly paled at the hulking (in my imagination) student approached me. He had seen me flee the Caretaker’s office, I had retrieved a bauble on the order of a House elf. Well, under threat. How times have changed. Hardly more than two decades ago, it was a very different story according to some of my lessons but that was hard to believe in Canbry’s or however his name is spelled’s case.

”Hi again! Um... good to see you. You doing alright? I’m Piérre, and this is Katrina.”

“Uh… great,” I took a step back. “Wonderful… yeah,” another. I was stepping closer to other people, increasing the space between myself and Piérre as well as the cute girl he was also introducing. “I am just here with…” I was here with nobody. “And uh, having a” what’s that word “great. Yeah GREAT time,” I let out a nervous laugh.

"Ummm a boyfriend...like I would ever want that...boys are smelly...exhibit A.." Atlas quipped as she scrunched up her nose at Ethen. "I think the tea might have helped your situation..." She continued giggling as she gently slugged Ethen's arm. As much as she teased and berated him, she was secretly thrilled he had popped up because she was stuck in a weird awkwardness and with Ethen she could just be silly and weird and not care what people thought.

Back in Africa, the locals would call them the Tasmanian Devils because of how much destruction they could despite their small stature. Ethen had never been one for pranks or roughhousing until Atlas had started dragging him along on all of her quests and she knew that being here wouldn't change any of that.

"Well let's try to find you a snack...I should have brought you something from my dorm...we always have food just appearing on our nightstands. It is amazing! There's gotta be like sweets or something lying around here on one of the tables..." Atlas thought out loud as she stood on her tiptoes trying to see around the multitude of small cohorts that filled up any available floor space.

She had always been small for her age and while it was a nuisance at this particular moment, Atlas usually talked this up as an advantage to sneaking around and not getting caught. "There might be some small lovey dovey desserts on the far table over there." She suggested still swaying back and forth as she tried to get a better view.

Opeila didn't answer Persephone who yelled after her, if she should stamp on her other foot as well. She hadn't liked that girl from the beginning, during their encounter at the lake, the thought of throwing her into the water had only become more tempting every second. Still, she hadn't thought of her housemate as a person, that was that crazy.
Opeila was done. She didn't want anything to do with Persephone Barret anymore.
Instead she would take care of the Gryffindor girl, who seemed almost too distraught to speak. Or at least, that was what Opeila thought, before the girl said "I don't know!" to the boy, who talked to her before.
The Slytherin girl could guess, how the Gryffindor felt. Humiliated, confused about being targeted by Barret, and still hurt. The burns were surely hurting.
Opeila was about to get the girl out of that situation, when she heard a disturbing noise. She gasped, when she saw Persephone banging Ruka's head on the table. And Jack seemed to have tried to throw himself between Barret and Ruka. Her eyes widened when Persephone then hit Jack with her ellbow, causing him to fall against the table she had sat at only a few minutes ago.
Even though she was concerned about both boys, she couldn't help but be glad to see Jack obviously caring about Ruka. There was something happening, and it was a good something. For a splitsecond a tiny smile showed on her face, before she told herself to pull herself together. There were injured people here.
Opeila looked at Ruka and Jack first, then at the girl, that Jack had called Decipio, she remembered now. Jack and Ruka had people there to take care of possible injuries. There were Alan, Gris, and a boy, she didn't know. She would get the Gryffindor girl to the bathrooms to treat the burns and then get her to the hospital wing if necessary. Then she would come back.
Opeila left the room with Evelynn.
Continued in a bitter retreat.
She returned soon, and quickly rushed over to her table, walking as normal as she could with the hurting toes, that definitely felt like they were swollen. "Ruka, you alright? Burnett?", she asked, honestly concerned. Barret really seemed to be a lot stronger than you would think when you looked at her. "Why did she attack you now?", she asked, very confused, looking at Alan (Vanes), and then at Ruka again. She didn't like the noise that his head made when it hit the table. "Also nice to see you Gris, and uh... We haven't met, have we? Opeila Seilun.", she said to Gris and the boy, who had joined their table. Opeila didn't sit down yet. She didn't know herself what she was waiting for, but she felt like she shouldn't sit down yet. Although, she didn't know, how long she would be able to stand, her toes hurt by the slightest pressure. Maybe she should go to the hospital wing. Later. Or tomorrow maybe.
She looked at Jack again, also concerned about him. She didn't know how bad he was hurt either.

Griseldis felt relief when Alan agreed to meet the two of her Housemates at the table, although, she didn't expect him for taking her hand. Honestly, she didn't really mind that much or put much thought to it, cause they were best friends now so it was a very normal gesture. Once they approached their table, both greeted the Gryffindor boys and Alan finally got to meet the Gryffindor Alan. Ruka was the first one who greeted them back and joked about their table could attract Alans which caused her to giggled a bit, it was kinda funny since it was true that they had two Alans now at the table.

But before the other Alan could say something to them, a familiar Slytherin girl suddenly appeared out of nowhere and did something that caught her completely off guard. Griseldis then immediately recognized the girl to be one of the members of the frog choir, Persephone Barret! Everything went too fast for anyone to react, she watched as the angry Slytherin girl ripped the teacup from Ruka's hand and pulled his hair then used her full strength to smash his forehead on the table ruthlessly. After the damage was done, she said something about them sending Opeila after her. And for the longest time, that kind of unjust act enraged the lioness, "Hey! I don't know if there was anything happened between you two but hurting someone with violence is WRONG!" Griseldis pushed the attacker away from the table and stared at her in the eye furiously, though she did control her strength so that she wouldn't lose her balance to fall. That's when she noticed Jack was already there beside them and was also very angry about what his fellow Housemate did. Then she saw Quinn and Nico approached them to see what was going on. She trusted both the tall Hufflepuff Prefect and the pretty Slytherin Prefect to deal with the girl, so she returned her focus on her own Housemate.

She used the napkin that was on the table and carefully wiped off the beverage from the side of his cheek, "Ruka, are you ok? How's your forehead?" Of course, she wasn't the only person who was worried about Ruka, the Gryffindor Alan also asked if he weas ok or not. Griseldis gave him another napkin since the brave Gryffindor did tried to protect Ruka from the attacker but got some beverage on himself as well, then he suggested it was best to take him to the Hospital Wing. Even though Ruka tried to make sure he was fine but she saw his forehead was indeed injured and already started to bleed. She switched for a clean napkin and placed it gently on Ruka's forehead and said, "I agree, we should take you to the Hospital Wing and let the nurse heal your forehead right now."

Noticing her other hand was still holding onto the rose, she turned around and handed it to her Ravenclaw friend, "I'm really sorry, Alan, can you maybe look after the rose for a while, I need to help take Ruka to the Hospital Wing." She felt slightly guilty to return the Valentine gift so soon but she was a Prefect and it was her duty to help the students who were in need. Later, Opeila returned to the table and greeted them, "Opeila, I didn't expect you to come back, how was Evelynn? The Gryffindor girl, how was she?"

When the shorter upperclassman Jack had come to know so well walked up to talk to the prefects and Persephone, the Slytherin boy caught sight of the blood starting to dry over his right eyebrow. He glanced to the dhampir girl, wondering if the scent would affect her, but then something else struck him.

Ruka was bleeding.

It was like the blood was a tidalwave of red threatening to douse him and color his perception of the rest of the world in rage. It was so thick and opaque, seeming to block out all the ration, reason, and logic he cherished so much. Jack could feel the emotions coming on, threatening to overwhelm him, but he didn't have the will to fight back.

Ruka had been physically hurt. For something that wasn't his fault. On Jack's watch. By someone Jack knew. How dare she. How DARE she!!!

Whether Persephone knew it or not, by going out of her way to attack Ruka, she had just made things personal. There wasn't a time that Jack could remember he had ever been so angry in his entire eleven years of existence. Didn't she know all that Ruka had suffered through already - things no 11-year-old should have had to even think about, much less deal with? Sure, Persephone might have been in pain, too; might have also had horrible expereinces. But what right did that give her to ruin someone else's life? If anything, it should have motivated her to keep others from experiencing the same terrible things she had, not cause them! Ruka could have been permanently affected by the injury she had so thoughtlessly inflicted upon him. Or worse, he could have died. The idea itself was too much for Jack to bear.

At first, the blow of Persephone's elbow to his abdomen was so painful that the redheaded Slytherin hadn't thought he could support himself if he had let go of the table. She might have hit some vital organ. However, now it felt like nothing. Jack could only assume the pain had been blocked by the same emotions and rush of adrenaline that had obscured his senses of rationality, logic, and reason.

He didn't care anymore. He didn't care who was watching - not the prefects, the unfamiliar boys at the table, Opeila, or anyone else. He didn't care about the consequences he would have faced. He didn't even care if he ended up having to resort to the form of attack he despised the most - physical violence. Jack just wanted to make Persephone pay in the most direct way possible. He wanted her to hurt as she had hurt Ruka. And some other, smaller part of his mind cowered at the new knowledge that he could even think this way - if it could really even be called thinking at all. Nothing else seemed to matter at that moment except to make Persephone regret her actions.

Gris had already covered the blood on Ruka's forehead with a napkin, but Jack silently removed his fedora and placed it in the other boy's lap just in case. He doubted he needed it anymore with everyone already having recognized his voice. He pulled off his shades next, offering them to Nico, who looked like she had been having a hard time ever since she had taken off those oversized heart-shaped sunglasses. His shades, at least, were probably more fitted to her and less goofy-looking, but it was up to her whether she wanted to use them or not.

He felt vaguely sorry for Nico too, in a way. Jack hadn't thought Persephone wanted friends if she was anything like him and yet Nico was trying to befriend her despite all the harm she had caused others. The Slytherin boy only thought it likely that Persephone would turn on Nico, too, for trying to extend a hand of friendship.

But he wasn't going to wait to find out. In fact, he wasn't going to give Persephone a chance to hurt anyone else.

"RAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

With a fathomless cry of pure, mindless outrage and fury, Jack charged at Persephone head-on, attempting to tackle her to the ground so he could get at least one good punch in. Maybe to her head, where she had hurt Ruka.

Dale had been watching the events unfold, he was a bit shocked at what he saw. The person who had their head slammed into the table seemed to be bleeding. Dale was also concerned about what the professor was doing, which was nothing, one would assume that the point for adult intervention was now... but maybe the professor had her reasons. The last thing Dale saw was someone trying to tackle someone to the ground, he looked over to where Lark was, he sorta regretted not sticking by her, but he didn't wanna interrupt her and Ruthie's time together. He turned around to face the person in front of him.

Another chill ran down his spine, even worse than the last one... the last time he felt like this was when Kae was around. Dale quickly looked around the room to try to spot him out, when he didn't spot him he was a bit concerned about what was making him feel so terrible. He looked back at the girl in front of him... maybe it was her. Dale sighed, why were wizards so strange...

"I'm Dale by the way." Dale said raising one arm and then putting it back down as he spoke. "You're also from Slytherin right?" Dale said sheepishly, "Cause if you're not... this would be really awkward." Dale said jokingly.

"Ok, gentle, got it," Katrina followed Piérre over to the 'Caretaker's Office Boy'. As Piérre had said, the boy was looking rather like a deer in headlights. He seemed fidgety and just put off. He glanced around and made eye contact. Piérre introduced himself and Katrina much softer than how he had acted earlier.

He took a step back and stuttered. Katrina instantly reminded of herself. Only a few weeks ago that was her. Unsure, self-consious, timid. After the Masked Ball, which had an odd affect on her, she wanted to change. Katrina put herself out there. She had spent the Christmas Break doing some serious deep thinking. Proof of that change was the teal streak in her hair.

Katrina stayed where she was when she spoke, giving him space, "Good, want to sit down?" Katrina adressed the question to both boys. She gestured to a somewhat quieter corner that had four seperate seats. Hopefully getting away from the noise would be good. Katrina noticed that her voice had changed back to her pre-masked ball tone. It was quieter and more gentle, without the stutter.

Katrina gave a side-smile and let Piérre take the lead if he wanted to. She was not the best at moving through crowds. She was awfully clumsy, after all. In fact, Katrina met Piérre by bumping into him.

Quinn should really count himself lucky. He almost didn't notice the gentle pressure coming from his side. Looking down his gaze still hard, he noticed Nico really for the first time since he heard the scream. Almost immediately his expression softened and ever so slowly when he stared into her eyes for those brief moments. His anger began to cool down allowing a bit more of his focus back. His body visibly relaxing if only a little.

Turning his attention back to Persephone and Jack. Quinn took on a stern expression for the most part keeping his expression mainly neutral. But there was less anger behind it. The cooler anger allowed him to better asses the situation and his actions. Unfolding his arms so they now rest at his side he listened to Nico while glancing to where Alan and Gris were. He was relieved to see that they appeared to have that situation handled.

But now Quinn faced another issue, the situation still seemed to be escalating and from what he noticed especially from the fact this young Slytherin girl had attacked Jack. He had a feeling something potentially harmful was about to occur. As if answering his very thoughts, Quinn was jolted from his thoughts by a loud scream. One he was all too familiar with. It was a scream of rage. Pure unrestrained, reckless rage.

Was Jack fucking stupid!? With barely anytime to react Quinn acted swiftly stepping in the path of where Jack was charging to make a tackle. His hand shot out palms opening wide. At first it looked Quinn was just going to use his size, weight, and strength to completely stop the charge. But the redheaded Half-Giant had other plans. He instead let his hand run right into Jack's chest. His large hand hitting the chest of Jack as he ran into it would no doubt feel similar to someone hitting a wall or a tree. It would not feel pleasant. His muscles tensed as he then immediately grabbed a handful of Jack's shirt hoisting him up quickly.

Bringing him to Quinn's eye level which was at the bare minimum more then a few feet off the ground. His eyes were hard again, but there was more annoyance then anger behind it. He forced his jaw to relax as he prepared the next words he would say. "Enough!" His voice was deep and lightly boomed. It wasn't as loud as Jack's yell or the earlier scream. But it would carry through the group at least. "Now I thought I told you enough was enough. I'm through trying to be nicehere" He stared hard at Jack keeping his grip on the boy very firm only tightening it further to emphasize the strength behind it. As if a warning to Jack.

When Quinn was fairly certain that Jack could have been under control he then turned his attention over to Persephone. "Sorry Nico but I think a firmer hand is needed." Quinn then turned his body setting Jack down removing his hand and immediately placing it on Jack's shoulder. There was weight behind it and he gripped, squeezing the boys shoulder. He couldn't take anymore chances. Quinn did his best to control his strength but the grip wasn't exactly comfortable. There might have been some pain behind it as Jack was closer to Persephone.

With his free hand, he placed his large slightly calloused hand on Persephone's right shoulder. It took up most of her shoulder and he squeezed hard enough to be painful and firm. He had the two in his grasps and had no intention of letting either of them go. "Now I may not know all of the details, but let's be clear. No one and I mean NO one else will be getting hurt here. I do not care if you hate me. But you will not cause anymore damage then you already have. You will stop this and you will come with us to face your punishment. Is. That. Clear." It wasn't a question. For once Quinn's voice seemed to have authority or at the very least something. There was no humor or joy in it. His tone sounded more like a parent disciplining their child. Perhaps it was because of his stature, his looks, his voice, or all three. But whatever it was it was a rare side that Quinn almost never showed.

Elsian was a boy on a mission, a quest. Or at least as much of a mission a boy like him was capable of when his freedom was at stake.

It'd been rather last minute for him to discover the tea party thanks to Sage talking about wanting to go and really...he'd been on the fence on whether or not he would actually go depending on his mood because dammit it might cut into his sleep! But now? Things had changed. He was a man on the run now, this was his life, running from one very, very determined Hufflepuff that seemed to have a personal agenda in making sure he didn't slack off and so far none. N o n e of his regular haunts were safe!

It's how he'd come across the tea party, slipping in-between the hallways after a hasty escape. Bless Sage for tripping up Mozark for him, he needed to get her a book or something after this. But for now? He was tired...and tea sounded so good. He loved tea and couldn't remember the last time he'd had a good cup, sure, peeking in it seemed like a fist fight was about to break out and it looked like a good amount of drama had already happened but these things happened. He wondered if the teacher would just let it play out...

Probably not, but wouldn't that be a funny story? He'd heard rumors about the horrible luck these events had but he'd assumed they were just that. Rumors. Seeing it first hand was something else and now he had half a mind to believe that maybe any sort of party was bound to fail at Hogwarts. Heck he'd just walked in and even someone like him could easily see the beginning of a train wreck starting to bloom. In an ugly, twisted sort of way...he was almost impressed!

Actually stepping inside he easily went unnoticed with the commotion going on and looking around for a bit he could see that he actually saw a few people he knew. Though they seemed busy and closer to the activity and...he really just wanted to get some tea and relax. Which, seeing a rather secluded table with only a girl sitting at, finally seemed within grasp. He almost felt under dressed, being only in his black slacks and now, thanks to freaking Mozark, slightly wrinkled white button up...but then he remembered the little heart clip Sage had given him when they were goofing off and fighting off a stupid grin clipped the thing to his bangs, the pink matching perfectly with the mess of colors in the room. Now he could say he tried if anyone got on his case for not being dressed up.

Fabulous tiny heart clip pinned in his hair, Sage would be so pleased if she came and saw he was using it like he'd promised, he walked over quietly, stopping when his hand landed on a free chair across from the blonde girl sitting at the table and offered a small polite smile as he pulled the chair back to sit down. "Hope you don't mind," he sighed, "but this table seemed pretty relaxed compared to," he airily waved his fingers at the mess of a scuffle, "that."
