The sound of piano in the middle of the night
@Zion DavisIt was long past midnight, and Lenora lay in her dormitory, staring sleeplessly at the wall. The difficulty of the lessons had tired her out and she was having difficulty falling asleep without thinking. From the moment Lenora arrived, she felt like she didn't fit in at Hogwarts. Whether it was the classes or the people, there was a constant feeling of loneliness.
Lenora remembered the rehearsal room she'd discovered in her early days at school. Perhaps this was the time she'd become sleepy and find some space to clear her head.
She got out of bed, adjusted her pajamas, put on her shoes, grabbed her bag, and tiptoed out of the dormitory. She couldn't see much because of the dim moonlight, so she walked with caution.
Lenora reached the rehearsal room without any problems. The candlelight provided slightly better visibility than the moonlight. She walked over to the piano, dropped her bag on the floor, and sat on it by the window. Her fingers danced on the keys as she played the lullaby in her head. The moonlight reflected in Lenora's hair.

Zion woke up to the sound of the piano playing. He had spent his day's free time workshopping with different instruments and getting inspiration to write more songs. While brainstorming, he had fallen asleep in the corner, where he was hidden in the shadows.
"Oh... shit... What time is it?" he said softly.
The muggle-born boy froze as he gazed upon a white haired figure playing a mellow lullaby on the piano under the moonlight.
"G... ghost?" Zion whispered, when he remembered that ghosts were friendly at Hogwarts.
His head began bobbing to the music as he started walking towards the piano.
If you add some beats it's almost... Zion began constructing a slow beat with claps, stomps, and light chest strikes that sounded like a bass drums. ...Lofi, Zion thought.
The Hufflepuff boy's body began moving with the rhythm as he began singing spontaneous riffs with his smooth R&B voice.
The notes being played in the room were in a familiar key. The Detroit native could not help himself. He began singing. His voice was soulful, deep for a twelve year old, but still gentle enough to bring warmth:

The boy was now only a few steps away from the piano when he began to notice the girl's pajamas. This was no ghost. It was a fellow student!
"If the sun refused to shine
Baby, would I still be your lover?
Would you want me there?
If the moon went dark tonight
And if it all ended tomorrow
Would I be the one on your mind, your mind, your mind?
And if it all ended tomorrow
Would you be the one on mine?"

The sound of piano in the middle of the night
When she heard the melodic lyrics, she repeated two lines involuntarily.
Reducio"And if it all ended tomorrow
Would you be the one on mine?"
Hearing footsteps brought Lenora back to reality and squinted to get a better look. Her face flushed involuntarily when she saw a boy her own age was here. She wondered how long he'd been there.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know there was anyone here. I can't see well in the dark or in dimmer environments. If I'd known there was anyone, I wouldn't have played."
Her eyes trembled as she tried to explain herself. She spoke too quickly and hastily while trying to explain. She took a deep breath to calm herself.
"Isn't that Ariana Grande's song you're singing? You sing it beautifully. I've never seen a wizard who knew a Muggle singer."
She spoke without looking at the boy. Her fingers were tapping the rhythm softly on the piano. This prompted her to talk some more.
"Can you sing some more? I'd really love to hear it."
She spoke, curiously trying to make eye contact. 'Oh my God, what am I saying? I must look so weird.'OOC Note: My character has white hair not silver hair. @Zion Davis

Zion let out an impressed chuckle as he made a stank face of approval. "Angelic voice. Perfectly in pitch. You a natural."
As the white-haired girl frantically tried to explain herself, the R&B enthusiast smiled warmly as he shook his head. "Aye, stop all that, queen. Talent like that is supposed to shine. You don't owe nobody an apology."
The Hufflepuff boy's chuckle grew louder as the girl accurately pointed out the song's original singer. "Of course. Thought I was a muggle my whole life. Ari's great ain't she?"
He tapped the piano twice for no reason in a quick rhythmic beat as he sat next to the girl in the pajamas. "And what's wrong wit bein a lil weird?" Zion laughed softly
The Detroit native cleared his throat with a powerful grunt as he leaned his elbow on the piano and rested his head.
"Let's start from the top then. You lead the harmony and I'll match," Zion smiled. "Start us off miss..."
Right... I don't know her name. Zion thought to himself.
"I was so into the groove I forgot to ask you for your name. I'm Zion. Zion Davis. Hufflepuff. First year," Zion smiled, his face warm and inviting.
He studied the girl's face for a minute before speaking again, "You look like a... Bella. Was I close?"

@Zion DavisLenora blushed again at this compliment. She didn't expect him to say something like that. "Thank you. " She spoke with a smile. She wanted to talk some more, but she didn't know what to say.
"Yes, her songs and the aura of the music are quite beautiful. It's hard to believe that some students don't recognize such singers. I still can't get used to this situation. Sometimes I thought the students here were prepared for this school from birth. I mean, how can they adapt so well?"
Lenora felt more comfortable talking. She actually felt a warm feeling inside as she watched the boy sit down next to her.
"The last thing I want is to be different. I mean, look at my current state."
When she started playing the piano softly again, she learned that the boy's name was Zion, but she didn't realize that she hadn't actually met her when the boy introduced herself. She spoke with a chuckle.
"I'm pretty sure I'm not a vampire like Bella. At least I can't drink blood or run fast. My name is Lenora and I'm in Hufflepuff house and my first year too and I'm albino."
She spoke with a smile. The more Lenora talked, the more she wanted to talk.
"So, apart from singing beautifully, do you have any other extraordinary talents?"

Zion let out a gentle breath-filled laugh.
"Do I seem like I'm adjusting well? You must really not be adjusting well," the boy's laugh grew louder as it echoed in the Rehearsal Room. "My problem is that I don't want to adjust. But that's just a me thing."
The R&B enthusiast tilted his head in disapproval at the girl's comments about herself. "If you just like everyone else, why would I want to talk to you? That'd be boring as hell."
As the girl began playing the piano again, Zion added in vocal riffs that didn't outshine the instrumentals but enhanced them.
Zion made a stank face again in approval. "Lenora. That sound mad sophisticated and put together. I like it. Lenora is magical as fuck."
At the revelation that the friendly talented girl was albino, Zion showed her the back of his hand. "I'm black."
He placed his hand at a respectful distance from hers as he compared the two complexions, "It's like yin-yang. Balanced as fuck."
"And talents you say?" Zion began thinking. "I guess Pops taught me how to box. You?"
As Lenora continued to steadily play the piano, Zion closed his eyes and shook his head in rhythm as he felt the music. With a brief R&B adlib, Zion began singing once more

She smiled involuntarily. "There are stains on my cauldron that won't come out, and I'm terrible at magic."
She couldn't help but chuckle as she remembered the cauldron in her dormitory. She felt truly comfortable around Zion.
"What do you mean when you say you're trying to act normal? For example, instead of walking, are you moving upside down?"
She spoke with a smile. She blushed at the compliment Zion had made about her name. She paused slightly as she remembered the incident that had led to her name being chosen.
"The name Lenora means light in Spanish, well it's a long story... Anyway... The name Zion seems to have a stronger and more powerful aura.
When they had a skin encounter, Lenora thought it was a very sweet and truly beautiful coincidence. She had never looked at it that way.
"I like drawing and reading books. Maybe one day you can show me your boxing moves."
She could feel Zion keeping rhythm as he played the piano and felt absorbed in his singing. In her absentmindedness, she pressed the wrong button. A shrill sound echoed through the room.
"Sorry, I lost focus for a second."
She placed her finger on the keys she had memorized again, and since the dim light would not help her see much, she proceeded with the keys she had memorized.

"Normal?" Zion scrunched his face. "Who wants to be normal? And upside down?" Zion laughed. "I want to be original, not alien."
He thought back what his father said, "Last thing I want my son to be is another bitchass sheep in the flock."
I wonder how he doing now, Zion thought to himself.
Lenora explained the origins of her name.
"Mmmmm," Zion exclaimed impressed. "Light, huh. It suits you. No idea why my parents named me Zion. Wouldn't be surprised if Pops named me on the spot."
The Hufflepuff girl made a tiny slip up as she stroke the keys. Zion suppressed an involuntary laugh.
"You got it," he assured her as she continued playing.
Hearing the girl's hobbies, Zion reflected on his own skills in reading and drawing.
"I can't draw for shit. Used to draw hella stick figures fighting in elementary school though. And when was the last time I read a book? Shit... might have been Jurassic Park. Though, I really need to be interested in a book to read it."
The first-year boy then paused. He had just woken up moments before, but being distracted by the enchanting music, he had failed to ask a very important question until now.
"... What time is it, Lenora?" Zion asked.

@Zion Davis"All names have a story. I think if you asked your parents, Pops, they'd tell you."
Zion laughed and felt her face flush, her pale skin quickly flushing. As Zion spoke, Lenora had an idea. 'I hope she doesn't understand anything different,' she thought to herself.
"I can recommend you some books you might like and teach you easy drawings, of course, if you'd like. I don't know much, but I've had a long time to learn."
When she talked about the time, she couldn't remember how long she'd been here. She only remembered that it was past curfew. She didn't feel tired. When it arrived, it was really hard to get used to it and sleep.
"I don't actually know, I didn't look at the time when I came here, but it was already past curfew. Do you know what time you got here?"
She asked curiously. She stopped playing the piano. Lenora didn't want to leave. Leaving the rehearsal room made her feel like she was returning to that unfamiliar wizarding world.
"I think I have History of Magic tomorrow and I should go to sleep, but I don't want to."
She talked to herself involuntarily. She had just realized that she was speaking out loud.

"Lenora..." Zion began speaking. "You do know... it's against the rules to be out of our Common Room after... curfew..."
It was odd. Just about a month ago, Zion would have been indifferent to the fact of receiving disciplinary action. Perhaps he would have delighted in the very thought of it. If there was a chance that he would get expelled, the young man would have gladly taken it. Life did sound much better with phones, Spotify, and basketball.
The past weeks however, Zion felt the slightest of changes. He was making friends. Hogwarts had people he would miss now.
The Hufflepuff boy began massaging his temples, as he stood up and paced back and forth, "Alright... if we just say that we accidentally passed out here..."
He stopped walking as looked up at the white haired girl in front of the piano.
"Shit... that looks even worse... A guy and a girl alone in a dark room? They'd definitely owl my parents... Mama gon whoop my ass..." Zion began talking to himself.
Quietly, the Detroit native opened the doors of the Rehearsal Hall.
He looked left.
He looked right.
"Alright..." Zion said closing the door softly. "Here's the plan... We're going to sneak back to the Hufflepuff Cellar. We can't make a damn noise..."
Zion grabbed Lenora's wrist gently as he led her out to the Hall.
"You ready?" the boy asked, looking into her pale blue eyes.
