Xailah didn't respond to the Half-Giant, she was currently more interested in the cat that sat in the nest of red locks. Irene, is what he called her. She was a pretty little thing. Another prefect had flocked to the door asking if the clumsy younger Gryffindor was alright. It was a Slytherin. The Slytherin prefect was a familiar character, though the young snake went unrecognized at first. The name Koko was not ringing any bells, and it was not until the cub caught sight of the snakes deep golden gaze; she would be recognized. She did not clearly remember the snake, but she did remember her eyes.

Xailah would say nothing to the seemingly part-veela, she would simply give the girl a silent nod of acknowledgement. She would listen to the girl Gris, confirm she was in fact alright. Apparently the younger Gryffindor, caught sight of someone, and started making her way to the table where a girl with blue hair sat. Was it someone she knew? Gris looked like someone who had many friends. Xailah wouldn't be surprised if the two girls knew each other. A red-haired, Slytherin, girl was at the table too. For a moment Xailah thought she knew that Slytherin as well, but the inklings of thoughts, would quickly disperse. The blue-haired child would let out a scream, for no apparent reason- at least from what Xailah could tell. She winced.

A gloved hand would reach for her ear. Her vivid gold irises would quiver; pupils drew themselves into tight daggers. Schrödinger, puffed up. Another person went over to the table where the two Ravenclaws, and the Slytherin sat. This time, the new observer, was a shrimpy Slytherin girl. Not a prefect. Apparently she knew Gris too. Most of the prefects new each other, or were friends in some way. Seeing this, she realized that she remained an oddball amongst the prefect group. Most of the people that were originally in her vicinity, had already gravitated to the table of students. So, out of curiosity, she too flocked over to the group, like a crow on a wire.

If the cub had to guess, the students were probably caught doing something they weren't supposed to be doing. The hazy, yellow, glow of her eyes, bounced from face to face. That would explain why the strawberry-haired, Slytherin, prefect; was over here looking upset. Schrödinger shifted around in Xailahs arms, before scurrying up onto the shoulder of his mistress. Xailah would most likely not intervene. If the students were careless enough to get caught, then they probably deserved whatever warnings the Slytherin prefect had for them. How would this play out? How would they react? Judging by the scream from earlier, some of them were not reacting well to the situation.

Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

A scream. One of pure terror and surprise. Just what she had hoped to receive. Her cold hands were useful atleast. Her intimidation was succesfull and again she made a name for herself. This was probably the third student she scared so far. Well, she probably scared more students, but not on purpose. This girl however became another victim of her spook list. Lovely.

A fellow Slytherin student who was chatting up with these feather youngsters, didn't seem much impressed by her. Maybe she was being to straightforward and not careful. Showing her true primal colours. With a full stomach and decent sleep, she would know how to handle a situation like this... with manners. But not today. She couldn't say a word to him. The only thing he received from her is a cold glare. Nico never thought this would actually satisfy her. Maybe it was because she didn't sleep and suffers from a certain insomnia. The dhampir wanted to lean in closer to the Ravenclaws ear but before she got the chance to, her feet lost touch with the ground. 'Wh-WHOAA!'

At first she got scared. Did someone Leviosa her off the floor? Was she dead and ascending to heaven? Was this a sin too far?

"Niiiicccooooooo!!"

No. It was one of her tall friends, Quinn. She hadn't seen him in a long time since they met in the Library but they found a certain 'zing' that made her feel at ease by his side. Like a plush animal, he held her tight in his grip. Maybe he was actually happy to see her, or maybe he tried to stop Nico's spook intentions before she scared off more Ravenclaws.

'Q-Quinn?' A soft red flushed on her face, slightly peeking through her porcelain coloured foundation. At first she struggled. However, knowing it was the tall friendly giant, Nico couldn't help but enjoy the hug session. If she had been a cat, people would've probably heard her purr. Her feet dangling a few meters off the ground. If she could.. she wouldn't have mind taking a nap in the warm arms of the Ginger Giant.

You're gonna need a bigger boat

Lilith found herself just having one absolutely horrible day and it had barely begun. She had found herself face to face with a Dhampir from Slytherin and, absolutely startled and terrified, she had screamed. The entire Great Hall, attracted to the commotion, seem to turn and look at her. She could tell that she probably had overreacted. To make matters worse, the Slytherin boy, Jack, was keeling over in laughter. She felt like she was being mocked. She was in this conundrum because he had to interrogate her and Penelope about Hogwarts history. With his continued insistence, they were going to talk to the Grey Lady which led to the interaction with the Dhampir. The Dhampir had not let her shoulder go, digging her fingers deeper. Lilith looked at the Slytherin prefect, studying her further, and it appeared as if she seem to take joy out of scaring her. Lilith was starting to understand why dark wizards and witches almost always came from Slytherin house. She would have to be very wary of anyone from that house in the future.

Her vision was getting blurry from the tears welling up in her eyes. She was feeling overwhelmed by the flurry of emotions warring inside her. She was embarrassed that she had attracted the attention of what felt like the entire student body. She was angry that Jack was laughing at her and that the Slytherin prefect was taking glee from her fear. She was also upset by everything that had happened and felt utterly alone.

Suddenly, the vice grip on Lilith's shoulder loosen. A giant Hufflepuff boy had picked the Slytherin prefect, giving her a bear hug. He was yelling the name Nico so Lilith suspected that was the Dhampir's name. She had to remember that so she could try to avoid her in the future. Now this was her chance to leave before anything worse happened to her. Though she did felt a little bad for leaving Penelope behind, the girl had not been particularly helpful in this situation. She had an inkling that Jack would continue to mock her after she left but there was nothing she could do about that now. Another person to try to avoid in the future. Gris, the Griffindor prefect, seemed nice enough but Lilith was too embarrassed by the whole morning to say anything more to her. Perhaps another day. With her book bag over her shoulder, Lilith made strides towards the doors of the Great Hall, tears streaming down her face.
