Appearance: Reducio A tall, lanky 11 year old Irish boy, Steofan stands about 5' tall currently and has a figure of one who looks like they would never gain a pound despite how much they may eat. His hair is trimmed but messy, an auburn brown, and his dark green eyes seem to pop against his pale, freckled figure. |
Personality: Reducio Steofan is generally quiet but very intelligent. He is not vindictive but is quick to stand up for himself or others who he sees as needing protection. He is very eager to have fun in anything he does, and while he's not above mischief he is loathe to get caught. Steofan has a mental abnormality known as Aphantasia that prevents all voluntary mental visualization. This means that he does not "see" anything with his inner eye, he cannot close his eyes and imagine a scene, all of his thoughts are in words, numbers, concepts, etc. This makes casting spells that require visualization difficult to impossible for him, but he will refuse to accept impossible. |
FIOM: Reducio The day his father was sentenced to Azkaban was a traumatic day for Steofan. He was at home when he got the news and was immediately overcome with every emotion imaginable... anger at the situation, fear for his father, embarrassment for the situation, frustration that it took so long for his father to pay, and many more... With this, when he got the news Steofan ran from his home and into the nearby woods where he walked alone, dazed and zoning into nothing in particular, just numb. Suddenly, he felt a primal urge to yell, so he lifted his head back and looked straight up and screamed to the heavens a yell so loud and feral he would not have thought it possible to come from a grown man, much less a boy. As he yelled, the branches of trees above him shook and bent and even fell from the tree to the ground around him. When he was done with his yell, Steo fell to his hands and knees and just breathed, drained, but... healed. |
Backstory:
Reducio
He is a half-blood, his mother from a pure-blood family married his father who was a muggle-born wizard. He can remember a handful of times he's seen magic in his life because his grandparents who raised him were muggle, he had no contact with his mother's family, and his father was barely around. His mother and father split when he was a baby, his mother abandoned him with his father after a year of primary guardianship, and his father was not a good man. Luckily, he found escape in his grandparents house and despite his hard upbringing, he was able to have love in his life. Though, his grandparents were of an old era and raised him with many outdated ideals, he does his best to grow past his trauma and be a better person. His grandfather fell very ill in the twilight of life and the past 3 years Steofan has spent almost all of his time either in school or taking care of his grandfather. He was ignored most of his life about his father's crimes until finally about halfway through his 10th year of life his father was caught with proof and sentenced to the rest of his life in Azkaban. With all of this, the day he got his letter of acceptance to Hogwarts was the happiest of his life and he looks forward to a life of magic and shedding the limitations of his life.
