A new friendship
Edith looked around the Hogwarts grounds, currently empty at this time in the morning (aside from her). The air was crisp and slightly chilly, the wind played with the leaves cheerfully. The towering trees danced with the clouds against a bright blue sky.
Edith hummed as she walked, watching a cat chasing a mouse, then the opposite when the cat stole the mouse's cheese and tried to run away. Edith laughed quietly to herself. She had been walking early in the morning like this a few times now, usually with her rat (Lopsie) but this time he was off hunting for food, normally scraps from the Hogwarts Kitchens.
Edith checked her watch, just in case lessons were about to start, when she remembered it was Sunday. Yawning, she sat down by the lake, as she watched a swan glide past. It was a beauty, the lake. Softly shimmering water, a perfect crystalized blue, and Edith couldn't wish for more.
She had all she needed: fresh air, nature, all those things she had missed out on in her lonely childhood. And yet Edith felt that she wanted more; a friend she could talk with sometimes, share her secrets with. As Edith gazed at her reflection in the water, without seeing it at all, she remembered trying to make friends when she was young.
It had never gone well; Edith had been a small, shy child and often got picked on at school. No one wanted to be her friend, ever. Would that change?

Zion jogged relentlessly around the Hogwarts Grounds.
The boy was restless that morning. When was the last time he played a sport?
All these wizards and witches played was Quidditch. The magic sport was not appealing to him whatsoever. You had to be a special kind of crazy to play a sport where you could fall to your death at any time.
I need to get my cardio up, Zion thought to himself as he sighed.
The Grand Staircase was more leg workout than true cardio. Zion wanted to feel that burn. That out of breath feeling that came after being active.
The run was exactly what Zion was looking for. Feeling the burn that he wanted, Zion began singing in a good mood, the song not exactly matching his emotions, but a song nonetheless. His smooth R&B voice greatly exaggerated the emotions as Zion was not taking the singing too seriously.

As the boy got into the music, he closed his eyes to feel the groove... while running. Will you be there in the mornin'? Callin'?
Makin' sure I'm good
When I hit you in the evenin’ feelin’ way too insecure
And baby, if I fall, I wanna land right in your bed
So you could tell me in the mornin', "You trippin’"
"How could you be so in your head?"

A Ravenclaw girl was minding her own business sitting by the lake. A fact that Zion did not realize until he was inches from running over the poor girl.
"Holy fuck!" Zion yelled, as jumped over the girl and did a little front roll instinctively.
He quickly got up to dust off his workout clothes. A simple black tank top and some gray basketball shorts.
"I'm so sorry. You good? My dumbass need to watch where I'm going..." Zion said sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
