Today Fyriel decided she would take some time for herself. A few hours in the library so she wouldn't be disturbed by other students. She usually stayed in the Hufflepuff common room to read, but after a few tries she got tired of constantly being interrupted by fellow Huffles passing by, asking her questions or simply being awfully loud. I would do her good to be in a place where silence was a must. There was no chance she would get distracted there.
After a wealthy breakfast, Fyriel headed to the Library. On her way there, her stomach growled loudly. Although she had eaten plenty, being used to a big breakfast before a full day of hard work at home, her stomach still wasn't satisfied. Stop rumbling, I'm not hungry anymore.. I hope it stops before I reach the library. Or I'll have hundreds of eyes looking at me when it happens. *BLrrgH* *RRrrBlupp* Oh dear...
The first year Hufflepuff reached the library. She stood in front of two massive woorden doors. As she opened one of the big doors, it made the loudest creaking sounds she had ever heard. That's what it sounded like to her anyway. Perhaps in reality if was only a soft shriek. After she shy girl walked through them, her view was packed with books. Shelves towering out above her. It seemed there were miles and miles of rows. Fyriel couldn't believe what she saw, she was completely in awe of the enchanting library that she had discovered for the first time since she started at Hogwarts.
Not knowing where to begin, she roamed through several of the rows. Her fingers gliding across the spines of the most beautiful books. a whim of dusty, used books passed her nose and she felt calm. Such a peaceful scenery, she could live in this library if she had to, and if it were allowed of course.
The further she pondered towards the back of the library, the older and dustier the books' spines got. A few of her fingers were covered in grey filth. Fyriel didn't' mind at all. This simply caused her to wonder why these books were left untouched for so long. As she wiped off the dust from some of the antique books, a glimpse of gold and red caught her eye. She cleaned off the spine of said book and read the title; 'Grimoire: Necronomicon'. She didn't recognize the name, but when she took the ancient novel off the shelf, she saw the cover. Different symbols and drawings she had never seen peaked her interest. Some of the symbols she might have recognized but she could never say where from. It was all a vague memory. "This one seems... compelling. I must take it with me and examine these symbols. How fascinating...", it crossed Fyriel's mind. She was fully mesmerized by this magical grimoire. It was the next mystery she would explore.
