Day 2

The second day rolled around just as quickly as the first. The weather wasn't any different, with the skies still cloudy and grey, though they had little effect on today's matches. Unlike the other sports, Duelling ran rain or shine. People would still be waking up to cold temperatures, something like a low of nine degrees celsius and a high of thirteen (which didn't seem like much of a high at all), but the room would warm up once people ran around dodging spells and lighting robes on fire.
Speaking of burnt—while the Duelling Club had been cleaned up after yesterday's matches, there was a lingering smell of burnt clothes and burnt hair. Unfortunately, the smell would never go away no matter how many fragrances the school decided to dump in this room. It was inevitable, and maybe on brand for the Duelling Club. Too many things would end up burnt, and you know how the scent of burnt things clung to surfaces. Especially clothes.
But it was another day, another two sessions of two duels each. The final four matches of the fall season until the next. The year was just getting started. But for a few Seventh years, this would be their last fall duel. They had to make it count.

Coach's turn came later than hers this time. So, she'd arranged for snacks in advance as well as creating an oversized blue felt pendant with Mylo's name on it that she could hold up in the air whenever it looked like they needed a shot of extra confidence. Mylo was very sensible, very calm, but that did't mean they couldn't benefit from a support cheering section. (Hopefully Avis would turn up here soon as well. In the meantime, she'd save her a seat.)
Mylo was paired up with Jessamine again and it looked like they were facing Gryffindors roughly the same year, which was good. One did include Sere, however. Maisie waved to her to say hello. Sere had always been an exceptionally fair referee and it would be fun to see her as a player. Genuinely, Maisie wished the best for her and her casting even if she still hoped Mylo would ultimately come out on top. The other two were unknown to her.
Holding up her pendant reading "MYLO GO, GO, GO" in sequins, she called out, "Come on, Mylo!" Mylo had that calm they always had, and the kindness too. What she wanted to do was ensure they had some fight in them as well.
She reached for a pumpkin pasty as they got this match started.

time. morning slot | Match 2 @Hanako Tone. (Open for interaction)Today is a very interesting day. A very EXCITING day. Because ever since she returned to Hogwarts she haven't had the chance to see one of her favorite person- and if its not clear enough, that is sarcasm. Hanako Tone is the bane of her existance. If there is a ranking of people that grinds her gear the most, Tone would’ve won a trophy. Even thinking of his name sent shivers down her spine.
So when she is returning to Hogwarts after a year of torment by her father, she needed to let off some steam. She have it all planned out yesterday night. She knew Hana have a duelling match today, So Pea prepared a banner made out of several pieces of parchment paper, glue it all together with a few flicks of her wand. With bold letter she wrote letters with thick stroke filled with hatred. Of course she added a few finishing touches of muggle glitters and stickers she bought from her time off.
“Perfect.” She grin as she walking towards the spectator seat. She didn’t care that she isn’t supporting her own house just to spite Tone. Although deep down she does still care if Slytherin won the championship this season, but this is a personal vendetta- nothing against the student of Slytherin at the least.
When the match began, she already spot Tone from the other duelist, she remembered when she was there too, with him. How he left her burned to death by a Hufflepuff student. Her anger grew just by remembering that incident, so she unroll her banner. ‘LOSER HANAKO’ splayed on the parchment, her eyes daggers to Tone with hope he sees it.

She breathed it like oxygen — she’s back, baby, and of course, with absolutely no care if anyone cared. Yesterday’s duel ended nicely, Ara didn’t pass out or anything, and her teammates did alright. One would ask why she was back in the room of terror. Her only noble goal in this endeavor to be present was to watch Vipers Team 1 get absolutely demolished. Was it rude? Yeah maybe. Was she sorry? Hell no. Not like she didn’t have faith in them, she just didn’t believe faith had anything to do with them winning — especially after seeing those matchups. She respected 2 out of the 3 of them to an extent, and only 1 of them genuinely, sure. But mainly in the same way one respects a malfunctioning wand — fun to watch The disintegrating relic would be in for a retirement goodbye for sure, and Ara would get some amusement in watching it. Meanwhile, for the newbie 7th year, Jack Burnett, it was going to be more of a “show me what you got” situation. The fourth year didn’t know him well, alas, their first impression to her was decent — stealing the soon-to-be-retiree’s clothes while they were in the shower — yet quite amusing. Mahlioz, on the other hand, Ara didn’t despise her, more like the opposite. For once, Ara was actually rooting for someone. The two have gotten close after a whopping 2 hair fiascos, 1 before-war party, and around 5 duels together under their belt. It felt weird without them yesterday. The lack of their presence made them feel unbalanced. If those other 2 let Mahlioz die, Ara’d give 'em hell next stage The banners seriously went all out today. She swore she saw one with ‘LOSER HANAKO’ on it somewhere; she almost choked. That was her new favorite person. She should’ve gotten a banner too, dammit. Perhaps one that said ‘WE BELIEVE IN EVETHISAWE BUT NOT THE OTHER TWO’. She sat next to the albino girl who held up the banner. “That’s art.” she commented. Breathtaking commitment to be honest. Back to the piste: Oh, they’re so screwed. Burnett looked like he just got back from hell and is about to pass out, nice confrigo though. “USE HIM AS A MEAT SHIELD, BURNETT! FUNCTIONALITY!” And they did, the irrelevant museum exhibit leaped in front of the other pathetic senior for 2 spell exchanges straight. Ara cackled. Why did they have better luck with being a human meat shield than actually casting something useful? They were suspiciously accurate, too. Looks like someone found their life purpose. Though the first time, it kind of made Burnett’s protego look useless as hell. At least Mahlioz was doing something other than being a self-sacrificing grandpa and precious cargo… right? ───────────────Spectator Thread────────────────

It is looking pretty sour for the Slytherin, but it is an even worse fate for Hanako, who has become a complete meat sack for another duellist she doesn't recognize. Why would he protect that other guy anyway? It is a very odd thing for someone like Hanako to do... But she wouldn't complain. Seeing him wraith in pain is the main reason she's here anyway.
From the look of it, the Slytherins aren't doing super well, but of course, a smile still lingers on her lips every time Hanako get hit by a spell. It is also funny because she is surrounded by Slytherin supporters, but she would cheer in delight when her own house duelling member is burnt to a crisp. It's Hanako, of course, it shouldn't be surprising that he would gather haters, even from his own house. As a matter of fact, she is right, someone with the same wavelength as her has come. “That’s art.” A sudden comment from a girl sitting next to her seemed to be appreciating her immaculate banner.
Pea rummaged from her small bag, taking out a small folded parchment paper. "Here," Pea handed her the parchment and unfolded it right in front of her. Another banner she kept from the first trial banner she made. The banner is just slightly smaller and a bit more crumpled, and instead of 'Loser Hanako', it says 'HANAKO SUCKS', with the same big bold letter. "I have another extra, if you'd like." Pea offered. Well, two is better than one, right? She can't wait to see that loser's reaction to this very personal message from her.
