Sen sighed, irritated. He wasn't sure why, but bad luck seemed to be on his side and was left with a particularly bad headache.

Perhaps it was his housemates, or the fact his dorm mates seemed to enjoy staying up late and gossiping, surprising as it is.

He'd walked around the castle, feeling particularly grumpy due to the throb he'd get every few seconds. He'd accidentally snapped at a poor boy who'd been mumbling about something or another, and at the time didn't have the heart to apologise. He hadn't gotten the boy's name, year or house, having stormed away in annoyance soon after.

It was his luck he's overheard some quidditch players complain about their practice session having been cancelled.

So now, here he was trudging to a nearby bench, plopping onto it. He let out a tired sigh and laid down on his back, arms under his head as a cushion.

"I should hunt the kid down and apologise. I really don't like owing people anything. Annoying." Sen hummed, closing his eyes in bliss. He didn't feel like cloud watching, just for today.

"The sun feels really nice." He let another sigh, allowing a smile to play on his lips and drifted off to slumber.

'Damn,' he thought, 'all I wanted was to go back to sleep but no, of course not.'

"You know, the human race may be the smartest animals but they're also the dumbest," he said blandly with a deadpan.

Slowly, Flac entered the Quidditch pitch, glancing up to the metal hoops above him in awe. Ever since he first saw a Quidditch game between the Montrose Magpies and the Caerphilly Catapults at the tender age of seven he was not only a big fan of both teams - with his patriotism drawing him towards the Catapults and the raven like mascot pulling his sympathies to the Magpies - but also eager to play Quidditch himself. The lack of magical children around him during the following years had destroyed this dream but was not able to hold him from practicing the maneuvers, dives and spins he saw his heros show in the pitch.

And now he was standing in the Hogwarts training pitch and might be able to, one day, play for real. Grinning from ear to ear and beaming with excitement, he marched a bit further, only to find out that, underneath a small ice crust, there was mud you could sink into if not careful. To spare his shoes Flac startet a quick retreat onto the benches around the pit, staring in the now innocent looking black mud.

He jumped as someone started talking about the wether, turning around hastily only to see a lone ravenclaw laying on one of the benches.

"Uhm... You are right, I guess.", Flac answered not really eloquently, trying to calm himself down after this unforeseen shock.

Sen's eyes snapped open, as a voice disrupted his short nap. He blinked as his gaze settled on a boy who sat nearby, and glimpsed the yellow and black crest on his robes.

The boy seemed to be nervous, and Sen wondered when he'd came out here, and how he hadn't heard the other. Then he was reminded of the snow and chilled air, despite the gazing sun high above them.

What was a Hufflepuff doing out here? For once, he couldn't think of anything, and he frowned to himself, looking the Hufflepuff over again.

"And pray tell, what brings you out here?" Sen tilted his head, raising a brow. He couldn't quite help the curiosity in his voice, and the slightest narrowed eyes as he sat up.

"I'd thought I would be the only one crazy enough to come out here, with all the leftover snow and mud," he gestured to the ground, that was indeed the cause of cancellation for Quidditch practices.

He stifled a sudden yawn and rubbed the tears, cause by the previous action, away. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing slightly in appreciation that it was not too messy.

As he waited for an answer, he turned his gaze to the sky, and lazily rolling clouds.

'Damn,' he thought, 'all I wanted was to go back to sleep but no, of course not.'

"Uhm...", for a moment, Flac did not know what to answer. He was unsure, weather the mimic of the other boy - especially the narrowed eyes and the frown on his face - was an indicator of his feelings towards the young Hufflepuff or just due to the bright sun. This made Flac very insecure and he needed to think about the question for quite a while. Why was he out here again?

"I just wanted to look around here without any people questioning me, I guess.", he then answered, still not quite sure, if this was all there is. To calm down, he looked onto his shoes, which were covered in black, wet mud, smirked and looked up again. "You are right, though, it is really muddy down in the pitch. But I did not know beforehand, so I am not crazy." The young wizard stopped for a second, then shrugged. "It probably makes me stupid, though. I could have thought about the snow and that it will create mud, but I didn't." To admit this was easy for Flac, he even grinned while saying it. This was nothing that could damage his pride, especially since he was the one saying it.

Without being aware of it he mirrored the gesture of the Ravenclaw boy and stroked over his blond hair. "Anyway, do I bother you?", he then boldly asked to bring light onto the reason of the other ones facial expressions of discomfort.

Sen waited patiently for an answer, he could tell the other boy was nervous and unsure by his tone of voice and body language.

He frowned to himself, did he do something to make him nervous? His mind wandered as the Hufflepuff explained and - oh. Sen watched the Hufflepuff in the corner of his eyes.

"Anyway, do I bother you?" The other asked, and Sen was left confused for a moment.

"No, I've just been having a bad morning, nothing personal really," Sen reassured the other, stifling another yawn.

"It's surprisingly easy to get horrible sleep. Let it never be said that Gryffindor's are the only ones who party at night," Sen joked, grinning.

He sat in silence with the Hufflepuff, unsure what to say. He rubbed his eyes, trying to fully wake up.

After a moment of thinking, Sen realised something, and he facepalmed at the sudden thought, causing the Hufflepuff to look at him in confusion and surprise.

"I'm an absolute moron," Sen exclaims as he turned to the other boy explaining what was on his mind, "I never got your name nor have I told you mine!"

Sen almost laughed and decided to finally introduce himself, "I'm Sen Leaf, a first year Ravenclaw."

'Damn,' he thought, 'all I wanted was to go back to sleep but no, of course not.'
