[Font= Times New Roman]"Do you not know how to be witty or do you have some other excuse to repeating parts of my sentences to try and shoot me down?" Airlia asked, rolling her eyes at the childish behavior.
She thought about her mother and how the girl could not be much farther from the truth. Elora Winter was a Gryffindor, a brave one at that. Strict and always proper. Elegant and refined in a way not many could be. She had strength oozing from her bones and made those around her feel brave too. She was a true leader despite the fact that sometimes her habits were old fashioned.
"Of course you would call my mother a coward. You see, some people just can't tell when there's greatness present even if it stares them right in the face." Airlia squinted her eyes at the girl, sending her an angry look.
Airlia wanted to stop right now. She was a kind, empathetic person, not cruel or easily agitated. She didn't have a mean bone in her body and yet the ugly words she threw right back at the girl were flying out of her mouth like poison, tainting her soul.
"For all you know my mother could be the kindest person in the world... She's not... But she could be! And you're attacking her like this and calling her a coward when she's strong and smart, brave too. She was a Gryffindor after all. And going for Hufflepuffs like that is cowardly. I know for a fact that you're a Ravenclaw and the only thing your house is fit for is being glorified librarians." [/font]

[Font= Times New Roman]Airlia's eyes prickled with tears and she couldn't figure out if they were from anger or from being hurt by the girl's evil words.
It was true that Airlia wasn't smart. In fact, she was the type to be labeled as dumb and naive. It was her greatest insecurity and her biggest flaw. She'd been bullied about being stupid so many times that hearing it in an argument like this just broke her heart. She'd lost before any of this even started because she could be outsmarted by a baby.
"Yeah, my mother isn't nice, she's polite there's a difference and that's something you wouldn't know a thing about. The only reason why Hufflepuffs doesn't get points is because we don't break rules and are always kind. So we're forgotten at the back of the class while disruptive Gryffindors get smothered with points just for the simple reason that they were a tiny bit quieter that day." Airlia spoke, knowing fully well that the achievements and hard work of quieter students are overlooked on a daily basis.
"And anyway there are fewer students in Hufflepuff so you're currently attacking a minority like some supremacist. Knowing fully well that any Hufflepuff is useless in arguments like these because we don't go for the kill or use people's biggest weaknesses against them, unlike you." Airlia knew she wouldn't win this. She didn't mind. Now she just wanted out of the situation.
"Now if you have nothing more to insult me with I would like to leave since I have a friend waiting for me. Or are you going to forbid me from continuing on my day?" Airlia crossed her arms over her chest and glared at the girl, ending up looking more like a slightly hopeful and hurt puppy than someone strong and confident. [/font]

Yeji now had one last thing to say before she would make her leave; the last laugh. "I'm surprised you have friends, do not annoy them too much." Yeji followed up with a laugh and turned around to walk away. As she walked away, a few tears ran down her cheek though she didn't know why. Yeji figured it was because she had gotten too excited so her emotions were attempting to pour out. "나는 내가 일찍 떠나서 기쁘다.""I'm glad I left early."

[Font= Times New Roman]Airlia stood still as she watched the noirette girl march away from the scene. She gave a sigh and looked at her feet. She was quite sure she'd just made an enemy. Her mom would be proud, but Airlia felt like she had something stuck in her throat.
She felt mean, wrong and so utterly unlike herself and she hated it. She never wanted to feel like this again. She'd been the agitator in a way, but it hadn't been her to take it too far.
After a moment of gathering herself Airlia plastered on the fakest smile she could muster, smoothed down her clothing and her hair and walked off with the absolute grace she'd been taught over the years. After all, the Winter women could walk through a battlefield looking like they were on the cover of witch weekly.
Later when she was watching her friend play in a puddle on the Hogwarts grounds no one noticed something was wrong with her. She wanted to talk to someone but was too ashamed by her own words to even try to speak up about what happened.
Later that night when she cried in the dorms it wasn't because of what Yeji Ahn had said... It was over what she herself had said to the other girl.
Merlin smite the gentleness and regret of Hufflepuffs defending themselves.[/font]
ReducioThis thread does not correctly describe Airlia's personality as she is usually sweet and refined. This was an IC fight not an OC one.
P.s yes I would love to continue at some point! Feel free to owl me if you get any ideas at some point.
