Magical Mishap
The day potion class was wonderful to Sienna. Along with the bright sun,...
The cure for the boil remedy had to be boiled to a certain point for the day's task and she was almost sure that she had made it perfect. As a scientist, she came up with a method a day before and was very detailed throughout the whole process. She gcdnt-cted the purity of the ingredients twice-went over the directions step by step, learned the process by heart, and carefully documented her findings. Her boiling point had been reached and the mixing of the greenest with the gold of the brightest and cutest brilliance of promise was the cause of the whole thing almost shining. It was like the professor watching her work silently confirming it with a nod and giving her the feeling of mastery all her own, she thought. For such a long time, Sienna, had not really felt that she maved nothing but her own.
The trouble, however, was only hers very shortly. She let go of the small crystal vial slowly and very carefully, a small drop of the potion was spilled—splashing on her clothes, arms, and neck instantaneously. The moment the drop fell on her skin to itch and tingle as if a million tiny sparks ran all over it. A sense of terror was quickly becoming her chest. She quickly took the flask of the potion to remove it from her skin, but she was not good enough; the poison was already at work. The little, angry boils that adorn her arms and neck and are moving faster than her comprehension have grown. The drop parted from her chest, and the room was spinning around her as if the floor were very far away all of a sudden.
With her suffering and the humiliation, Sienna staggered to the hospital wing, the steps she took were more painful and humiliating than the previous one. Every student she met treated her in the same way, either with a curious or a horrified look. So, her humiliation was constantly growing.. At the doors she arrived at, her pride had already disappeared and similarly were mingled with suffering, fear, and shame.
The hospital wing which she had entered was full of students suffering from various kinds of injuries. She quietly sat down and waited for the nurse to come for her. WC - 397
