Luna went off to say sorry but the boy waved her oof saying its just an accident, Maddy wanted to laugh but she held herself back, poor girl was already a nervous wreck, she didnt want to make her feel worse.
Finally Leo introduced himself, and Maddy made a self-note in her mind 'ok So, Luna, Leo, Milica and Silvy, yep I think I got it right.'
Maddy's attention snapped to Milica as she spoke very determined, "
Okay......Slytherin got their way, but I think she is right."We should brew the Cure for Boils. This is much more useful than a Forgetfulness Potion."
Maddy spoke listing out what could go wrong with all the potions, "So, the easisest potion to make is the Cure for Boils but.....if we brew it wrong it can explode, Im not saying I mind but I think some of us will." she said nodding towards Leo and Milica, "The next option is The
Herbicide Potion, it is slightly trickier than the Cure for Boils but No explosion, side effects include poisonous fumes if brewed wrong......er less likely though" She sighed looking down to see the last option, " And the last is the Forgetfulness Potion......hmph side effects only make a person drowsy, confused or sleepy, so safer option, but it is slightly trickier to make than the other two."
She looked at her group after reading all the details, "So keeping these factors in mind, what do you guys think we should brew?"

After explaining the assignment to the group the Hufflepuff girl who had knocked into him, Luna, had asked if they could try the Forgetfulness potion, although he figured she didn’t understand what the potion actually did. Before he could say anything about it the Slytherin girl, Milica, chimed in mentioning that it would be a better idea to brew the cure for boils since it was more useful. Leo definitely agreed with this as compared to the other two they could get more use out of it. There already seemed to be some conflicting personalities in this group so working together to make a potion was certainly going to be a difficult task.
Maddy started speaking next, listing out basically all the things that could happen with each of the potions if they were brewed incorrectly. Leo nodded while looking over his notes, she wasn’t wrong but he still thought the same that they should try the cure for boils potion first. “Well, there’s potential to mess up every potion if not done correctly as the professor explained.” He started saying, looking up from his notes to the rest of his group mates. “I must agree with Milica though, I think the cure for boils potion will be the most practical to try to brew first. As long as we stick to the instructions and put everything together properly we should be fine.” He explained before looking around the room. The other groups seemed to be starting on their potions so Leo was eager to get theirs started as well so he decided to offer some more help. “Why don’t we gather the ingredients for this one and get the materials then we can work together to brew it?” He said to try to get a final decision made. Honestly he didn’t care if he had to put it together himself if it meant they would receive a good grade but he wanted to try to give the others a chance to help too.

Madeline had repeated the three different potions they could choose from, but Milica hadn't changed her mind: if it were up to her, the group would brew the Cure for Boils. Apparently, Leo agreed, a fact which pleased her greatly and gave her a boost of confidence.
Milica leaned over to look at Leo's textbook, scanning it for the ingredients which would be needed to brew the potion. She quickly found them and read them out loud for the entire group to hear, a hint of authority in her voice. "We will need 6 Snake Fangs, 4 Horned Slugs and 2 Porcupine Quills."
As the rest of the group didn't seem to take the lead, she started thinking. What would be the best way to divide the roles in the group? Out of all the group members, Leo was the only one she trusted with the potion, apart from herself. She couldn't imagine it could be too difficult to brew a potion, but as she herself had no experience with it, she decided it was probably a good idea to let Leo watch over the cauldron.
She turned towards the seemingly mischievous girl before making her suggestion. "Madeline, is it?", she asked, trying to sound as indifferent as she possibly could. "Seems like a good idea if we gather the ingredients and let Leo - and the others - prepare the cauldron." During the part where she mentioned the others, she rolled her eyes and lowered her tone, to convey that she in fact did not want the rest of the group to touch the cauldron. Hopefully, the others would follow her suggestion. Otherwise, she would have to prepare herself for dealing with one tiresome group of people.

Maddy tilted her head her nose scrunching with disgust as she heard Milica listing the ingredients, "Snake fangs, slugs, and porcupine quills… wow, that sounds delicious," She said with faked enthusiasm earning herself some looks from the table. She hoped off the stool and anoounced, "I will go get the snake fangs and the Horned Slugs, someone has got to handle the slimy stuff right?" she shrugged with a smirk and added, "Well one of you can grab the porcupine quills and the other can ready the cauldron or something? Sounds like a plan?"
She turned to Milica as she said they both should go get the ingredients, "Sure lets go, though I am still getting the slimy stuff and please call me Maddy or something, Madeline reminds me of me mom back home." She winced remembering how her mother would call her when she was in trouble.
She was about to leave when she turned back with a little flourish and bowed towards Milica, "After you boss." she grinned.
