Well, this was nice. She winced slightly as fog covered everyone's field of vision. No one was left out of the spell, so she supposed that the spell could be considered "generous." An interesting idea for spells, but it would have to be explored later.
She watched- or rather tried to watch- other people's swings, the distances still pretty great, in her opinion. She prepped, and swung, although missed the ball entirely. Considering the fact that smoke was there, and that she wasn't the most athletic person, she didn't get too down on herself. Hufflepuffs were still ahead at the end, and the smoke made the area a little warmer than before, she decided.
Next turn comes, with more decision. Her original gut feeling was to go for spells, although she was sure that none of them would really work. For one, she could hardly figure out where the other team was. Two, it seemed their team was starting to fire off spells. She waited for a moment, before deciding on the best course of action.
Considering that their main person to get long distance shots was Annie, she decided to defend the other Hufflepuff. It had been a described action, although hadn't really been used.

May saw how Annie Morgan was hit by the dancing feet spell. May needed something else to do... Maybe she could use the spell too...Why not? After all, they did use it. It wouldn't be fair if the Puffs wouldn't use a spell and just...Bat. She had read about the position she had to take to bat, so she did it, as she remembered. She stood there and waited for the Slytherin to throw the ball. If her plan worked, she would cast the spell before the Slytherin would throw the ball. Then, she would bat. Anyhow, this was just a game, and it wouldn't matter to May if she would earn points or not by doing that. But she didn't want to let the Hufflepuffs down either. Slytherin wasn't playing that bad either tho. A few people were playing with all their might, like that girl with purple hair. Mr. Caradoc Brown was being bloke by that big bushy purple haired Slytherin the hole time. She wished she would have been part of the Quiddich team, now that she thought about it, playing was very fun. May smiled at the Slytherin. Tarantellegra! May cryed with all her guts. Casting spell took her down, but this time, she felt her Adrenaline go up. She batted so hard, the ball went very very far. She was sure the other Slytherin couldn't chase it. May smiled. Then she cryed, ''Go Puffs!!''

ROUND THREE
@Thora Larkston took their last misses badly and felt like Slytherin had the worst luck the entire game. But, nevertheless the Slytherin picked up her bat again and took on her stance. Determination would prove key as she landed a great hit on her ball and knocked the ball out on the field for a good 17 meters. Earning her house a very decent 34 points.
While @Bridget Collins was beating herself up about missing the last round, she was not about to let that happen again. With a stern focus on her face she locked her gaze on the Hufflepuff Head of House. To which the man raised an eyebrow as he felt the girl was about to throw the bat at him. Right before she was about to hit the ball aimed at her position, a flash of white hit her on the leg. Without any warning she began an elaborate dance as she surprisingly still managed to hit the ball for 5 meters. Allowing her house to gain some 10 points more.
The problem with determination however, was that it could also point out a stubborness in people. @Erin Ryan’s fixation with professor Browne was proving to be her downfall in this game. Magic was not by her side as both her wand disagreed with her and the spell that hit her in the side.Erik was definitely looking for trouble. To top things off the purple haired damsel would be hit in the shoulder by a misdirected ball. Who knew what her next step would be. Was the papa badger to remain her only target or was chaos about to erupt…
@Annie Morgan was getting cocky. And clearly the universe was not ready to disagree with her. With another expert swing, the girl made sure to conquer a great 32 points as the ball fell landed 16 metres ahead.
The universe might not have had enough of miss Morgan, but @Santario Martin sure had. It was time to bring down Hufflepuff’s heavy hitter once and for all. With a swift swipe the young Slytherin attempted to hit her target. Sadly the curtain of smoke had not decided to leave yet and her spell only found a tree in the background. Perhaps next time.
@Erik Tharaldson on the other hand found himself quite able to find his mark. With a lash of anger the boy threw a spell at Erin. The girl who had dared to make him lose. He would suffer no insult. But had the boy any idea what was coming?
@Serena Bowen seemed to have a special talent. A knack to make either ball or bat to find the wrong target. While last time her own bat hit ehr in the back of the head. This time, her ball would find itself tackling a far more dangerous prey. While still being able to score her team some 10 points as the ball ended up only five metres further. She had achieved to hit Erin in the process. There was still time to run… probably.
If there ever was an unsung hero on the field it would have been @Teiki Laurent. While no one would have seen it happen, as it was not even necessary in the end. Teikie would have gone above and beyond to protect her teammate. While her act would have been valiant indeed. Others might have noticed her immobility this round rather than her focused mind.
@May Moonstar was a strategist. While perhaps not a very specific one. With her wand aimed at any slytherin gunning for a ball. The girl would release a spell before the other could have even acted. The spell hit and her opponent proved themselves a capable dancer rather than the next wizard batting champion. A decent turn out for her actions.

“Uhg… Just too much smoke. I can’t even see her.” She muttered to herself. She didn’t know if her spell had hit, but given that there was a heavy hit ball from Hufflepuff, she had a good feeling she had not hit her target at all. Erik had a death wish clearly with his targeting of Erin. She knew her friend was strong, but she had seen Erin crack bludgers first hand and she had seen her take on Quinn. It hadn’t been a long-lasting fight, but Erin was reckless, dangerous, and sometimes convincing. It hadn’t been all that long ago that she had been swept up in Erin’s delusional paranoia. A shudder ran through her as she remembered the pain that flowed through her that night… It was easily the worst physical pain that she had ever experienced before and probably worse than she ever would again short of someone putting her under the cruciatus curse. Thank god, the nurse knocked her out when he did.
She took a deep breath and picked her bat back up. Maybe she would get lucky and be able to score again for her team. Maybe she could get another good hit and catch them up or something… Either way, it was apparent that casting a spell right now was not going to be useful.

Bridget continued staring down the ball, drowning out everything else. Perhaps her look of pure determination was unnerving, but there was no way she was going to miss again. Her hazel eyes followed the ball's path to the familiar bat gripped in her hands and held back, ready to swing. And then, just as she swung, her legs began flying out in some sort of complicated dance, throwing off her balance. Somehow, the brunette still managed to clip the edge of the ball and send it a few meters.
Annoyance instantly flared and she let out a little groan. Bridget supposed she had done something very similar to the Hufflepuff third year not that long ago, but it was still frustrating that someone, especially cowering under the cover of the smoke, would mess her up right as she was batting. As she continued a far more impressive dance than she was ordinarily capable of or would ever perform, a bit of pride, or perhaps it was arrogance, mixed with the irritation--some Hufflepuff had tried to mess her up, and although they certainly crippled her performance, she'd still hit the ball. Bridget was not going to let some weak badger stop her.
Miraculously, she maneuvered herself to the back of the line without distracting any of her other teammates. She even managed to congratulate Thora for her success. Getting revenge for her current inconvenience was what she wanted to do, but between the remaining smoke and her flailing legs there was no way that would work. As difficult and insane as it was, Bridget was just going to keep batting.

She tried to use magic, it failed. It always failed. To date she has never had an effective spell cast. The magic, that churning madness and power was there, the Quill and Book sensed it and she had seen sparks. Yet control was outside her reach. Magic was an act of not just precision - the right words and the right moves, but there was something intangible as well. Passion. Something she demonstrated but always lacked, only emulated until the crones gifted her with what she had always lacked.@May Moonstar -- don't you need a trunk to be able to play?
Erik was denied his chance to hit an inert ball and win a game that had no meaning. That was enough to incur his wrath. Well, at least he tried. That was enough to incur Erin's wrath.
Erik was a dead man.
Normally a guy would be thrilled to have a girl that looked like Erin look their way. However, not with that look on her face. It was the sort of look you can't define but you can feel, the face was not contorted in some wild manner but there was an eerie glint in her eyes as she set her gaze on the Slytherin. He looked small. He looked weak. He looked like a good time.
A huff escaped her flared nostrils as she sought the bat. She would snatch the bat as it was being passed off between players and twirl the top heavy cudgel in her hand. Erin was silent, not averting her gaze from the lovely yet unfortunate youth as she spun the hammer (bat) and with a mighty swing attempt to connect with the boy's mid-section. If she hit, a mighty THWAP! As the blunt surface of her weapon struck his pasty, sickly-seeming (dhampir, right if not disregard) flesh. If she missed, she would simply take a single step forward and swing again.
Regardless of success, after the part-Veela made her attack would say something. "You're not even a Prefect, why the &^$# am I wasting my time." He was not worth her wrath, but her emotions have been controlling her since they came rushing in. Everything - the sympathy and the rage, the regret and the trepidation. A bitter-sweet cascade of sentiment that left her mind in a haze, lashing out as shadows in the dark. She knew her enemies, Mr. Browne was one of them. He was dangerous, she just knew it! That smiling face and all of those hugging badgers. She did not know much but she knew that badgers were not even remotely cuddly. Liar. Probably a midget giant too...
She was not able to take him, Browne that is. Too strong. Too powerful. Definitely evil.
Stop thinking about the Head of Hufflepuff.
Focus on the villain that can have its ass kicked.
Action: Attack Erik with a bat.

Slytherin seemed to be catching up a little bit, with less Hufflepuffs batting and more going for the magical method. Still, while they were behind by 35 points or so, at least Thora had scored. Hitting the ball the farthest was certainly a surprise to the young girl, as especially, she would be the first to admit how weak she was. Thora was not strong at all, and simply the fact that she was able to hit it more than 5 metres or so was quite a surprise.
Bridget, on the other hand, had been hit with a spell. A spell from some first year. Thora hesitated a little before heading to the back of the batting line again. She did know Finite Incantatem, a handy little Countercharm that had proved to work well against the Dancing-Feet Spell, but the other girl had managed to make her way to the back of the line while dancing. Perhaps she would be alright. Besides, Slytherin had to win. Their pride was at stake, and the sneks could at least regain a little bit of it, if any.
So as her green eyes strained to see past the acrid smoke that was seeping into her lungs with every breath, Thora hoped that when it was her turn, she could see. Sure, her vision would probably still be quite impaired from the spell some Badger had cast, but hopefully she could bat the ball far enough to earn some points for her team. Slytherin was her house. It was time she started playing like it.

Take that!, was all Erik could think as he saw the knockback jinx hit his target right in the side. To his dismay, however she seemed unhinged, unhindered even. It looked like Erik's flipendo had, had the mere effect of a fly against an elephant. Annoying for sure, but nothing more and it seemed he had annoyed her greatly. The werewolf could tell by the mere look she had thrown his way. It would have sent most people off running for their lives, but not Erik. Either he was too stupid or too brave to save his own life as she roughly snatched away the bat from a fellow Slytherin and made her way towards him. He hastily looked around him to find some sort of safe haven to flee towards in the hope that this would stop the purple haired devil, but alas nothing seemed to fit the bill. Running and hiding were no longer an option. He had signed his very own death then and there. So, Erik did what only a man in his situation could do. He braced himself for impact as he raised his wand at her.
Expelliarmus!, he shouted at the top of his lungs in the hopes of at least disarming the frightening purple haired monstrosity that came to teach him the very definition of pain. His confidence returned he would not go down quietly or without a fight. He would show a Tharaldson wasn't someone to be trifled with nor a werewolf for that matter.

Annie went to swing her bat but got distracted by all of the spell casting around her. Luckily, she still hit the ball but not as far as her previous attempts. She glared over to the Slytherin who tried to distract her but failed. The Hufflepuff couldn't hold backa snort of amusement at the girl's attempt but remembered to play fair and have "good sportsmanship". Annie rolled her eyes and nodded her head to Teiki for saving her bacon. Where were the other puffs when you needed them?
Annie was now almost single handedly batting for the badgers and knew that defeat might be in the books with the number and strength Slytherin had. She sighed not wanting to admit defeat quite yet. "Win or lose I will fight to the end." The Hufflepuff stood up, dusted her clothes off and stretched the arms out, giving them a quick shake. She reached down where she laid her trusty bat and picked it up. A simple smile was all the graved Annie's features but in her eyes, a raging, competitive fire had sparked. This fire only burned in her eye when she was passionate about something like Quddich or drawing. She yelled out to Caradoc who had been pitching. "Let's do this! Don't let me down, let the ball fly!"

Welp.
Just when she thought that she could be of use, nothing happened. Oh sure, something did happen, but the older year saved herself. Which, in all honesty, was pretty cool. She gave a smile to Annie, and a quick thumbs-up. Now, she needed to decide her own next play of action.
From what she could tell, the Slytherin team had started to destroy themselves. She shrugged, no thinking much of it. It didn't seem as though anyone had gotten too hurt quite yet. Although it could've simply been adrenaline rushing through them. She gave the two a curious look- probably one that neither would see, considering that they were both focused on each other. Well- that was a problem for the teachers- or somehow who might've been stronger than the two. Which meant certainly not Teiki.
But- it didn't seem as though any other spells were coming this way. The raven-haired girl tapped her wand, paused in a moment. Hopefully others wouldn't be too worried about the abrupt start and stop motions of the First Year. It was just a cycle or thinking and reacting on her part. Finally, she stepped forward to grab a bat. Hopefully she would get some points for her team. She wondered how many rounds there were. Well- it didn't matter. She had to focus on attempting to hit the ball first.
