Quidditch Training Pitch, After Classes
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Quidditch Training Pitch, After Classes
After classes on a chaotic Monday morning a mere week before the other international schools would be coming in for their allotted dose of ball-induced Hogwarts horror and trauma, Piérre was finding himself with a sly smirk on his face as he traipsed to the Quidditch Training Pitch. He had been put up by Prat and a few other youngins to be a sort of referee for their little game of Shuttlebumps. Or, well, at least a modified game of Quidditch involving the components of the game save for the ever-elusive golden snitch. It wasn't a game of win or lose anymore, just a game of last man standing. King of the Hill.
The weather was quaint enough. Wind was kicking up every now and again in a way that caused clothing to flutter like banners at intermittent intervals. His courseload this semester was rather minimal, he had plenty of free time to be a freeloader. So, naturally, he was among the first to arrive, face turned into the wind and arms held out from his sides as if he were flying on nothing but the gale alone. It was too windy for a small animagus form such as his own to be out and about--he would have, most likely, been carried away on a well-timed gust if he had tried. Something so fragile, so delicate: strange to think of the person that it contained, the insinuations of the accomplishment of such a form.
So when the children started to appear, the Britalian turned on his heel and smiled broadly as the wind behind him kicked up suddenly, mussing his hair and causing him to fix it for once for a moment before he crossed his arms and popped one hip out. "Alright! You guys know the rules of your game better than I do, I'm just here to watch and call out the crazy stuff." He tapped the side of his nose. "And, to make sure you don't get yourselves too hurt." There was a smile that caused his eyes to glow slightly.
Boarding himself onto his beloved Luciana (Orabella had been left for today, mostly because her "kick" was often a bit much for casual flights), Piérre took to the skies with the secured Quidditch kit that they had obtained for the event in his lap. A multicolored fabric belt at his hip seemed to give the illusion of a pair of tailfeathers whipping through the air. "Teams! Please take your positions!" He gave his best announcer voice impression--you knew the one, the one that was very loud and yet somehow crackly through the amplifier. Through his hands, he continued. "The game will begin when I have a thumbs up from both captains." He eyed the specific parties with a hawkseye for a second to determine it, and then smiled behind his hands. "I have received confirmation." Hands slipped to the box.
A final smile. "Please," He said boldly, the latches were unhooked.
"Don't die."
The bludgers flew out and he threw the Quaffle. The game had begun.

Quidditch. The one sport that had always fascinated Avery. She couldn't believe her eyes when she had seen the poster about a king of the hill sort of Quidditch game without the snitch. Being a Seeker on her house's team, playing Beater was completely opposite of what she had been expecting. She couldn't even fathom the idea of hitting bludgers at people and hoping they didn't riochet back to her. She had to stay on top of her game. Otherwise everything would go down in flames. She couldn't let her team down.
Above all else, she was the captain of her team. She still couldn't believe the title had been given to her. It was a privilege alone just to play, but to be captain? That was everything. She had to make the right decisions and keep her team going. Otherwise? Well, they would have no chance.
Avery smiled as she walked onto the pitch. Though the training pitch was pretty much empty, she didn't care. It was enough that she was out there that day. Ready to play and go. That day would finally be the chance to try out her new broom in a real game instead of practice, so that would not only be rewarding, but also give her a better edge in her real game approaching quickly.
She watched as the rest of her team and the others she would be facing today walked in. She gave each of them a friendly wave. Not wanting to be rude. Though they were her competitors, making enemies didn't sound like the right idea. Especially when a game was on the line.
Avery was glad that at least this time she got to play the full game. It had been hard for her in her first game. Watching as her team fell apart before her eyes. If only she had been successful at her one attempt to save her team. Then maybe they wouldn't have lost so badly. Then again, they didn't have a strong chance against the Slytherins anyway. They had the older players and power that Gryffindor desperately needed, but didn't have anymore. Maybe this time would be better. Maybe this time she would be able to prove herself.
Avery mounted her broom and kicked off. Nodding off to the moderator that she was ready. Ready to fight with her life. With the club of a beater in hand, she soared higher into the sky until she was at a comfortable height. Ready to lead her team to victory.

The school day had flown by quicker than most days, especially for a Monday. Leo had truly been looking forward to today since he saw the sign ups to join. He was especially pleased to find out he would be on the same team as Rosaline and Avery. Avery had helped him train him in quidditch on this very field just a few weeks ago when the school year started so he hoped he could impress with the skills he was able to learn from her. Rosaline being there was great too since they had become so close so it would be fun to be on the same team since they were in different houses.
Still, today wasn’t for spending time with friends, it was about quidditch. Something Leo had been interested in joining since before coming to Hogwarts and now was his opportunity to play in a fun unofficial match. Being that he hadn’t played before in a game, he was still very nervous and this game wasn’t like any ordinary game either. Even so he was determined to do his best today and not let his team down.
When he walked out onto the pitch he saw everyone gathering up, waving at Avery as he made his way to join them. He watched as the rest of the players walked out, keeping mostly to himself as he waited for the game to start. The weather was fairly pleasant for playing, not too hot or cold and a gentle breeze here and there. Hopefully it would be a good game.
As everyone finally arrived, Leo followed Avery’s lead and mounted the broom he had borrowed and kicked off, waiting for the official start from the moderator. With the start of the game, Leo flew higher up in the air. One hand gripping the broom and the other holding the beater bat, he was ready to play and hopefully win.

Quidditch, a game Livia's father had excelled at in his time at Hogwarts, was a sport Livia felt little inclination to join. Observation from the sidelines proved far more fruitful in learning the ins and outs of the game; however, when some older years put together a modified version of Quidditch, sans Seeker, she decided to give it a try. Perhaps her decision was a poor one, influenced by the existence of one Prat Pass on the team that would be her own.
Most certainly, the decision to be on a team with those who clearly did not understand the merits of teamwork — one Silas Norwood and one Oonagh Brown — would haunt her like a particularly peckish poltergeist. However, she would make the most of it in the name of whatever 'greater good' might come out of it. Putting up with Mr Norwood and Miss Brown, then, was simply a means to an end and no more. That rationalisation fuelled Livia as she made her way to the Quidditch training pitch, a location relatively unfamiliar to her, and met up with her teammates. The Silver Arrow that had belonged to her father was clutched tightly in her right hand; should a gust of wind arrive too swiftly, she feared her grip would loosen and it might fall.
Upon Livia's arrival, she would do her best to meet the gaze of each of her teammates; it took the place of a verbal greeting, which Norwood and Brown did not deserve. However, before she would take her position in the sky, she said, flatly, 'I must opine, should we require a moniker for our alliance, I have acquired a selection from an antediluvian manuscript. I believe the disclosure was as follows: "Gangang". Or "Gang Aang". Or perhaps even "Gang Gagn". I was thoroughly impressed by the colours on this ancient art, but the lettering had faded and remained difficult to discern.'
After uttering her veracious statement, Livia mounted her broom and kicked off. Even if Norwood and Brown left the team flailing, she, at least, would be serious about this.

Mondays are usually hard to get through. The first day after the weekend, who likes that? But this time, things would be different, and Frederick hadn’t been able to think about anything else since the moment he opened his eyes that morning: he was going to take part in a Quidditch match.
Okay, it wouldn’t be an official game, he wouldn’t be playing for Gryffindor, his house, but still, the thought filled him with excitement, since it would be his very first match at Hogwarts. He had signed up along with a few acquaintances, but made his way to the Quidditch practice pitch alone right after classes ended.
Smiling eagerly the entire way, even the gust of wind that hit his face as he stepped onto the open field couldn’t wipe the grin off his face. He carried with him a broom he had been lucky enough to borrow and a whole lot of determination. He might not have much talent as a Beater, but maybe his stubbornness and love for the sport would make up for it.
Fred greeted everyone who had already arrived with his usual charm and kept doing so as more people joined, the excitement and nervous energy battling inside him as the minutes passed and the start of the game drew near. Running through the team’s strategy and recalling his father’s lessons about the sport in his mind, Fred crossed the pitch to take position closer to his teammates.
When Avery, the team’s captain, mounted her broom and took off, Frederick did the same, shooting into the sky faster than he had planned. Maybe I should’ve practiced flying on the borrowed Firebolt before the match, he thought. Pushing away the bad feelings, the boy steadied his broom to take his position and got ready for the game to begin, his left hand gripping the ebony handle while his right held the bat firmly.

Quidditch Training Pitch

In all of Archer’s three years at Hogwarts, never before had he even dipped his toes into the sport of Quidditch. Ever. Despite still attending flying classes, he was no fan of being airborne on a flimsy piece of wood in spite of his mother’s flight done with her transformation. In fact, that was the sort of flight he sought to pursue himself, not knocking around balls in some odd version of sky polo. It was in “the spirit of trying new things” that he decided to join this Quidditch game of Piérre’s, though of course classic teenage fear of missing out was more influential as a factor than he would have preferred.
When he arrived, borrowed Silver Arrow in hand, he turned towards the girl they had designated as captain, and confirmed, “Our strategy clear?” He had been made goalkeeper, and with the accuracy of his spells landing in duelling practices, that role was one he managed to let himself agree with. With that reserved nature, nothing would have worked for him in the bustling centre pitch anyways. He certainly didn’t have the strength nor the assertiveness to be beater or chaser.
After some contemplating, he eventually found nothing to say to his other teammates — all of whom he was strangers with except for Isa Flores. On the opposing team, however, was Prat Pass, his captain, and Oonagh Brown, Livia Machavarianai and Silas Norwood, acquaintances from the Headliner. With two Quidditch captains on their side, it seemed like an unfair leverage, and today, as September was soon to dip into October, Archer was not blindly confident enough to claim that he had the upper hand anymore.
Suddenly, a wave of doubts enveloped him. Perhaps he should have at least tried to fly on the damned stick beforehand, he thought, and chewing on his bottom lip, waited for the game to begin, which was far sooner than he could have anticipated. He followed the others as they mounted, crossing one leg over the broom then pushing himself upwards into the unknown sky and an unknown outcome.

.Odi broke into a jog to catch up to Alphonse and Prat as the three of them stepped onto the grassy field. “On your left.” He called, sidling between them and slinging his arms round both of their shoulders. “This is gonna be sick. I’ve not had a chance to hop on the broom since old Galahad kicked me off the team last year.” He turned to Alphonse to explain further. “I got into a bit of trouble with all the classes I was missing. But hey, we live, we move right?”
There was a fiendish glint in his eye as he cast his gaze out to the other team. From the looks of things, the opposition was already fretting and psyching themselves out. He looked forward to exploiting that. He tried to catch the attention of the opposing teams captain and shot her a sly wink as they met the moderator for the match in the centre of the field.
He breathed in the air, savouring what was to be the last day of official British summertime. It wasn’t going to be a sorely missed season for Odi, but he was sure that would change once the rain got too dismal again. Hopefully he’d manage to get some shenanigans in with the boys before the climate became completely unruly. His hair had grown somewhat in the few weeks since he’d cut it and the breeze had begun toying with his locks playfully.
The wind was now tugging at his quidditch robes like it was pleading to pull him on Odi’s broom. He obliged. Unwrapping his friends from his roughhousing, he positioned his cleansweep under his legs and felt himself detach from the ground. The feeling of earth releasing from under your feet was truly something that would never get old. Confidence surged through his veins as he reached his summit, and arrogance suited his features well.

It was the day of her first-ever Quidditch game, even though it was an unofficial one, she was still excited about it. She had seen the poster for the game, which was modified to omit the Seeker position and the Golden Snitch, and she had signed up immediately. The idea of this intrigued her. She had no preconceived expectations of how the game would go, her curiosity was thoroughly piqued.
Quidditch had been her favorite wizarding sport since childhood. Her cousins would play with her. Though they were much older than she was, they still patiently taught her many tricks and skills. She hoped she could apply all that to today’s game. Recently, she had been accepted onto the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Chaser, the same position she’d play today. She thought the experience of today might help her prepare for the official matches.
Rosaline quickly made her way to the Quidditch Training Pitch. It was a windy day. Noticing the leaves and grass on the ground swaying in the breeze, she reached out to feel the wind direction. She held her newly purchased broom, a Comet 180, in one hand. Looking around, she saw her teammates and opponents, also a referee, and she gently waved to them with a warm smile. She recognized a few acquaintances and friends. To her, it was a comfort that Avery, Leo, and Fred were on the same team as her.
She took a deep breath as the starting time drew near. Pushing away the thought that she might perform poorly, she looked carefully for the starting signal. When the referee announced the start, Rosaline mounted her broom and soared high into the sky. The wind swept across. Her heart was filled with excitement and thrill, hoping everything would go smoothly.

♕- After classes, Sept. 22nd, 2025 | Quidditch Training Pitch, Hogwarts -♕
Between the trio of lads, it was Prat's genius that had orchestrated this "King of the Hill" Quidditch game the following Monday.
Now, with Alphonse's roommate Piérre on board to supervise the tournament, everything was steadily falling into place. Admittedly, with far more flawlessness than the Toussaint boy expected considering the improvisation of it all—not that the Gryffindor was complaining in the slighest. For being ever the athletic-bred teen he was, it irked him beyond rational thought that he'd yet have an opportunity to serve a team as the boy once did for both Ilvermorny and Castelobruxo. His irritation was surely unjustified, yet still a loathing Alphonse clung to—and prepared to release through the Beater's bat he devotedly wielded.
Neither here nor there, this little romp would fill the void for now; a competition showcasing brute strength was well within his element.
Sauntering casually down to the Quidditch Training Pitch with Prat at his side, each step from Alphonse was surefooted and nonchalant—the gait of one completely confident in his own abilities as well as the team Prat had strung together. It seemed a few heads had yet to arrive for the game, but for those who did, the Toussaint boy couldn't resist eavesdropping on.
While heeding the Headliner Secretary, Livia Mariachi band-kimchi, prattling about some 'antediluvian manuscript' featuring the word "Gangang," "Gang Aang," or "Gang Gagn," a slight chuckle escaped his tightly pressed lips. What Livia had been referring to was Alphonse's drunken attempt at graffiti art found on the pages of a tome inside Hogwarts' library—"Gang Gang" was what it was supposed to say, but he wouldn't interject upon his spelling error.
Making room for Odilon to walk between him and Prat, Alphonse greeted his friend with a mirthful smirk and casually spoken, "Que lo que, tiguere?" His dark eyes flashed with excitement with each step the lads took towards the training pitch, but his mind occupied itself upon Odilon's words. "Damn, Galahad kicked you off the team for that? Esse bolado, mano. But anyway, you two ready for this? I've been thinking about this all day." Whats up, tiger? That's shitty, bro.

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Orchestrating this little Quidditch game had been far easier than Prat had expected. All it really took was cutting out the seeker role, letting everyone else loose and simply seeing which team would last the longest without being knocked out.
Brutal, Efficient and Entertaining. Exactly how Quidditch was meant to be played with no captains fussing about over their heads.
He hadn't thought they'd even gather enough players this quickly, Kids in Hogwarts usually complained about unofficial matches being unsafe or lack of safety and a danger to health and concussion bargain sale or whatnot. But with Piérre's willingness to supervise over the game and to make sure no one died, things had come together almost seamlessly. No one had managed to make a mess of his plan so far.
Walking down the Training Pitch with Al, Prat felt this small, familiar hum of anticipation settling in his chest. The faint whistle of wind brushing against the grass blades, glint of sunlight hitting broomsticks. He was yet to secure a proper place on Slytherin's team yet, and this was the closest he'd get to the familiar quidditch rush for now.
When odilon approached, Prat shifted slightly away from Alphonse, making space for odi to walk between. Alphonse was grinning as if this game was about to be a street brawl over a friendly match and Prat matched their energy with a faint smirk of his own.
"Es wird Blut geben."
"There will be blood," he said evenly, Crisp German, eyes flicking between the two of his gryffindor friends. The words were either threat or a promise, either was yet to be seen.
