Oooooh language talk!!!

I think it's really quirky how English has so many fewer conjugations nowadays than a lot of other languages with conjugations.

French conjugations always have seemed annoyingly confusing to me while Spanish conjugations are annoyingly easy
Right? It's like the french have a thousand different ways to say the exact same thing and in Spanish it's like "this is it. There isn't any other way to say this"
Exactlyyy. The only thing there's a couple different ways to do it is future tense and past tense and future tense it's like "Here are five ways to say this. However, in these situations you can't use them you have to use this NEW method you're learning!" and it's like....what-
Omg, like so true, so true. And, in my French class, we're learning some new conjugations, right? And my teach literally says that what we are learning is like only theory and that there's a whole different way to use them in conversation and i'm like "what..... Why...."
Only theory??? How are conjugations only theory- See now, this is why I never took french and my sister did. Spanish has always come easy for me, but it's just annoying, and I think the most difficult is the accents
Yeah, only in theory!!!!! The books teach you what would work in theory, but you read any book, any book at all in French and it's totally different!!! And yeah, the accents in Spanish are difficult. I have a hard time with some of the r's. And no, my teacher was like totally confused

Should've seen Old/Middle English! There was nearly a conjugation in some shape or form for everything back then

Oh my God that sounds so confusing! I could never. I grew up with one of my aunts best friends (my Titi [pronounced tee-tee]) speaks Spanish so my aunt speaks it so I was able to listen to it and be able to pronounce things, but spelling it is so hard because some words sound the same but are spelled different and mean totally different things
