Reopened 25.07 Cracks Within PV Oonagh Brown

Time was irrelevant, after all Oonagh was more than capable of pulling her own weight and she had hoped she could escape waking up dreadfully early if she was at school; after all on the farm she had to be up before the first rooster cried to help her mom with chores all around. Now however, she had Quidditch practice, which also was meant to occupy her mornings and while she did not purposefully mean to be late, she did not care if her tardiness would cause her being late to it. She was sure she could hold her ground against Pax, whom as she believed was more bark than bite. Regardless she doubted Pax would be stupid enough to kick her off the team for mentioned tardiness, they would need a capable prodigy in the sport as Oogie had proven to be.

Which is exactly why the hothead only rolled her eyes at the comment of the boy. "If you think me being late compromises our victory chances, then you should see if maybe the lack of victories is on the team's previous efforts," she quipped back, her hair surrounding her face and torso in wild curls that allowed her to appear more menacing, despite her young age. Keeping said hair detangled would often prove to be the reason as to why she was late. Not that she cared to make that clear. Despite attempts to keep her hair somewhat free from knots and tangles, it would forever remain in its untamed state.

Oonagh was swiftly in the air, thanks to her Firebolt. It was quite fun in a way, when she had realized this was not just outdated cleaning equipment wizards and witches seemed to fancy, they truly did use quite a lot of outdated technology. At first she had assumed it was just because they were dumb and possibly scared of technology, but then she had been told that it was actually hazardous to use anything of electricity in proximity to magical places. Though that did not mean that they weren't stupid, she supposed, as that boy seemed to prove her so kindly.

As Oonagh got addressed by Pax, she rolled her eyes once more at the captain when they said "Next time you're gonna be late, I'd appreciate you letting us know so we can get started sooner." Oonagh gave a pointed look at the soccer ball and shrugged, "If I needed practice throwing around a soccer ball, I would have picked a soccer club, this is barely an important part of practice," she argued back, before pointedly throwing the soccer ball at Pax' with all her strength put behind it, in the hopes to at least somewhat catch the captain off guard with the amount of aggression put behind such friendly practice.

I wasn't on the team last year so I can't really say for last year but I don't think getting a short first year as beater is going to improve our chances. I still feel this could be our year. We just need some luck and good practice.

I looked over at the latecomer having a chat with the captain. Oonagh I think her name was or something like that. "If I needed practice throwing around a soccer ball, I would have picked a soccer club, this is barely an important part of practice," I heard her saying and proceeds to throw the quaffle at Pax.

The quaffle just missed their head. "Oonagh was it? Care to join us?" I said trying to get them (mainly Oonagh) to stop fighting before it escalates further. We really needed to get some practice in before our first game against Hufflepuff
"You know, having an attitude like that is not gaining any favours." I said rudely with a hint of arrogance. You can't just strut in here like you own the place. Though this first year clearly did not know that.
"And besides you're probably the one that need the most practice if you don't want to get slapped around." I continued. She was among the youngest ones on the team this year. If anyone needed practice it was her. I heard that the other teams all had burly sixth and seventh years on the team. I kicked back up into the air again glanced back down at the first year.

"Oonagh was it? Care to join us?" A voice called, and Oonagh's head snapped around to narrow in on the voice, an eyebrow at the boy. "Sure mate," she broke free from the conversation with the captain but not without rolling her eyes in exasperation at the situation. Why did everyone have to be so stuck up?

However within the next breath the person, she cared not for his name, made her second guess that decision to pair up with them. "Whit made ye think Ah care, huh?" she berated the kid and narrowed her eyes dangerously. "Ah can handle masel, whan some'ane slaps me around, Ah will return the ####ing favour, ye ken?" she smiled sweetly, but it was not exactly kind. More like a promise of vengeance.

"Eneuch talk, Ah micht as well throw stuff," she grumbled and grabbed herself a soccer ball and weighed it in her hand, briefly considering just launching it at the other boy. With a sigh she threw it at him, deciding to be civil.. for now, sorta. She hoped for the practice to be over soon. When practicing on her own she tended to do more fun stuff, but she guessed she can handle a few minutes of warm-up.
