Willow Walker | First Year | Ravenclaw
Full Name: Willow Grace Hartwell
House: Ravenclaw
Age: 11
School Year: First Year
Species: Human
History / Background Story:
Willow Grace Hartwell was born and raised on a small family farm in the English countryside, where she lives with her parents and older brother. Her mother, a witch, has kept her magical identity mostly quiet out of respect for Willow’s Muggle father, who learned about magic when their son accidentally levitated a toy tractor across the kitchen at age six. The discovery left him speechless for the rest of the day as he processed that his family was, in fact, magical. Despite his initial shock, he remains a kind and supportive father who simply prefers his animals to wands.
Growing up surrounded by rolling pastures and animals, Willow quickly took to helping around the farm. Each morning before lessons, she helps feed the chickens, cows, and horses. She was homeschooled by her mother in both Muggle and magical subjects, learning arithmetic and reading alongside basic spell theory. Her afternoons were spent horseback riding — a passion she developed early in life. She began competing in small children’s riding competitions at age five and quickly began bringing home ribbons and awards.
Willow’s first instance of accidental magic happened when she was five. Her father had told her she couldn’t watch television until she fed the chickens — a task she had been avoiding. In her frustration, Willow threw a tantrum so fierce that the walls rattled and a framed photo flew clear across the room. Though startled, her mother recognized the signs of early magic and comforted her, reassuring Willow that what had happened was perfectly normal for a young witch.
At age seven, Willow fell off her pony, Ariel, during an unsupervised ride, earning a small scar on her knee. Too afraid of being scolded, she hid the injury from her parents, and it healed naturally. To this day, the faint scar remains — her quiet reminder that sometimes honesty would have been easier than hiding the truth.
Willow is a cheerful and curious girl with a deep love for animals, stories, and adventure. She’s bright, kind, and endlessly optimistic, though occasionally stubborn when things don’t go her way. Excited and a bit nervous to attend Hogwarts, she hopes to make friends, learn more about magic, and maybe one day join the school’s riding or Care of Magical Creatures clubs.

Willow Walker | First Year | Ravenclaw
☀ The Whitmore Family ☀
Mother: Eleanor Whitmore (née Brooks)
Age: 41
Former Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Blood Status: Muggleborn
Kind-hearted and endlessly patient, Eleanor was known in her school years for her nurturing spirit and knack for Herbology. After Hogwarts, she chose a quiet life in the countryside, where she met and married a Muggle farmer. She’s the heart of the Whitmore family — practical, warm, and always the first to put on a kettle when trouble strikes.
Father: Thomas Whitmore
Age: 43
Blood Status: Muggle
A lifelong farmer with weathered hands and a gentle smile. Thomas doesn’t always understand the magical side of his family, but he loves his wife and children fiercely. He’s proud of his daughter’s Hogwarts adventures — even if he occasionally mixes up “Ravenclaw” with “Ravenwing.”
Brother: Oliver Whitmore
Age: 16
Current Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff

Blood Status: Half-Blood
Cheerful, loyal, and endlessly curious, Oliver takes after his mother’s kindness and his father’s grounded nature. He writes to Willow weekly from Hogwarts, full of advice (and the occasional embarrassing sibling story).
The Whitmores
A Muggle, a Muggleborn, and two Half-Bloods — the Whitmores are a family built on love, laughter, and muddy boots. Their small farm hums with life, where magic and the mundane coexist as naturally as sunrise and rain.
