sai stood outside of the entryway of the Amortunnel. He fidgeted with his fingers nervously, his soft blonde hair falling into his eyes as he looked around quietly. Already, there were multiple other people there, which made his anxiety spike. He hadn't exactly wanted to go to the Amortunnel at all, but after a letter from his sister, he decided to try it out. Mizuki was always trying to get him to be more social, but it didn't help that Asai was more of a bookworm than he was a social bee.

Taking a small breath, he walked towards one of the walkways, the smell of fragrant roses hitting him. He let a small smile appear on his face as his eyes flickered over the glowing flowers surrounding him. His steps were light, barely audible as he reached the boarding area. It was a beautiful sight, the gondola gently bobbing in the water. Fireflies flickered, giving it a sweet yet calm ambience.

Asai looked around for whoever was being assigned to him for this activity. Deciding to explore a bit more before his companion came over, he reached out and touched some of the plants above his head, the leaves soft under his fingers. He glanced at the gondola again before sighing quietly. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Remind him again of why he had signed up for this. That was Aidens thought-process as he begrudgingly walked over to the Amortunnel to find his blind-date, one of the main attractions at the London Quidditch stadium. He’d signed up on a whim, specifically asking to be paired up with another guy. Perhaps to prove something to himself, or perhaps just due to boredom. While he still was interested in trying his theory- to test his chemistry with someone else that wasn't a person he shared a bedroom with for the next six years to come- the whole blind concept was making him feel uneasy. Out of control. Aiden did not like surprises, which was why he had started to regret signing up.

It was too late to back out now, however.

A handful of other couples were waiting outside of the attraction, clearly none of them his partner. Already on the verge of giving up, he asked himself how the hell he was supposed to find the right person. All girls were automatically out of the question, but that still left plenty of unknowns. Scanning the crowd, his gaze settled on a lonely blonde boy—sweet-looking, shy even, judging by the way he fidgeted with his sleeve. Walking closer, Aiden noticed the boy move from the boarding area to inspect some flowers, presumably waiting for someone to enter the gondola with. Aiden couldn’t imagine why anyone else would just stand around.

Aiden approached the boy, exchanging his resting bitch face with a more approachable expression. While not his usual type – granted, he didn’t know he had a type in boys until a few months ago– this was the best possible outcome considering the situation. Since he was here, he wanted it to be worth his while. “I assume you’re my partner for the Amortunnel?” With the lack of lonely boys standing around, his options were sparse. “I’m Aiden,” he introduced himself with a charming smile, wanting to start this off on the right foot. He'd even dressed up for the occasion, wearing a nice pair of jeans that fit just right, and a maroon piké shirt, partly unbuttoned. Getting a kiss from this awkward-looking boy at the end of the amortunnel was probably out of the question, but that would be the ultimate proof. If he was lucky.

sai felt a shiver pass through him as a voice behind him spoke, relaxed with a hint of charm. Anxiety coiled in his stomach like a living thing, tightening with every second of hesitation before he finally turned around, careful and deliberate, as if any sudden movement might expose the trembling in his chest.

His eyes scanned the person in front of him. His first thought, above all, seemed to be one of attraction. It surprised even him as he noticed the boy. How his hair fell effortlessly on perfectly tanned skin, and his eyes glinted with an air of both intrigue and confidence. Asai couldn't understand how someone could be so effortlessly careless.

Still, he managed to summon a smile — or something close to it — the corners of his lips twitching upward with an effort that felt painfully obvious.

"I— yes, hello!" Already, a wave of embarrassment washed over him at the obvious nerves in his voice. The words tripped over themselves in a way that made him wince internally. The paleness in his skin was tinted with a soft pink, spreading to the tips of his ears as his fingers fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.

He raised a hand to brush back some of his hair despite the fact it hardly blocking his view. Clearing his throat, he said, “That’s… a nice name,” he offered, glancing briefly away before forcing himself to meet the boy’s gaze again. “I’m Asai.” He tilted his head slightly in greeting once again, before vaguely gesturing towards the still empty gondola. "Er, shall we?" He asked, feet still planted to the ground firmly.
Really sorry for posting late :sweatingbullets:
