Lions and snakes
Ariana struggled to hold her books in her arms as she ran down the deserted corridor, occasionaly nearly tripping over and dropping all of her books.
"oh no oh no oh no..." she muttered to herself. "I actually cant believe myself!"
She had promised to meet a group of friends in the library, but she was now running late due to the fact that she had fallen asleep while trying to finish her history of magic essay. Well okay she wasn't exactly doing her essay but she was reading quidditch through the ages with, in her opinion, was way more important than an essay or witch burning's in 1965.
" I shouldn't have fallen asleep" she muttered to herself.
She skidded round the corner desperately looking at her watch as she ran, unfortunately not looking at where she was going at all.
Suddenly, *crash*, all her books were sent cascading to the floor.
"oww" she muttered to herself. She had bumped into something, or rather, someone.
"Oops! uhh... are you okay?" said a voice.
She looked up to see that same slytherin girl, with light-brown hair and dark brown eyes and a few inches taller than she was, staring disapprovingly down at her. Scowling Ariana picked up her books off the floor and got to her feet, drawing herself up to her full height (which, disappointingly, wasn't that tall) and brushed the dust of her skirt.
"Yes I am fine, thank you" She said, punctuating her words in too defined syllables.
"And I'll thank you-" She said scornfully, "For knocking me over, watch were your going next time, slytherin." The girl scowled, and narrowed her eyes slightly at the gryffindor. Ariana did the same, narrowing her eyes into shining green slits, slowly stuffing her books into her bag as she did so.
"Well-" The slythein girl started, "-maybe you should watch were you're going next time" she paused, then added, "Your nothing but a typical hot-headed gryffindor aren't you? Where are all of your little friends?" she asked mockingly. "You are normally surrounded, Id expect more of you typical popular pretty-girl" She said smirking. Ariana felt her anger rise and stepped forward, red and gold sparks flying out of her wand dangerously. The slytherin girl seemed to notice, and stopped smirking, looking down hesitantly at Ariana's wand. She took a step back, and Ariana opened her mouth furiously, about to speak when...

Kara was walking through the corridors when she heard a voice.
"You're nothing but a typical hot-headed Gryffindor now aren't you? Where are all your little friends?
Kara looked to see Ariana and girl from her dorm that looked almost exactly like her. She didn't know her name, but all she knew is that she was a total asshole as the third-years likes to say about her.
Kara walked over and stood in between them.
"I'd stop right there if I were you." Kara hissed. She stared at the girl through slitted eyes. A scowling look drew up on her face. She stared at the girl straight in the eye.
"Well, if it isn't little miss Kara? I heard you sisy went bye bye!" The girl mocked.
"It would be best if you shut up right there." Kara threatened. Kara was a hot-headed girl, and she didn't like when people were treated with disrespect.
"What are you gonna do to me?" the girl laughed "Are you gonna drown me with your tears?"
Kara had enough. She hated this girl and the girl hated her back. She remembered her karate lessons from when she was younger. She pushed Ariana backwards and flip kicked the girl up her chin.
She watched as the girl fell to the ground, holding her jaw.
"Not half bad," she had said "but you'll have to try harder!"
The girl landed a blow on her chest and she fell to the ground. Blinded by rage, she kept fighting with the girl, she felt as though she could go on forever. The girl was using only brute force. Kara knew that the girl was strong physically, but was to rash to keep focus. Kara herself was weaker, but smarter, and knew how to think ahead, for she was clever.

Lilian was looking for Kara in the corridors suddenly she hears Karas voice ' I'd stop right there if ı were you.' Kara hissed and Lilianm heard another voice a girl answer back 'Well if it isn't little miss Kara? I heard your sissy went bye-bye!' the girl mocked. This make Lilian furious how dare she could talk about this issue like that?!
Lilian goes towards the voices and she sees Kara push one Gryffindor girl and kicked the girl. At that moment Lilian was proud of Kara. But she gets serious when she sees the girl throw ablow on Kara's chest.
She realizes that girl was gonna hit Kara again so she quickly runs towards them and catches the girl's fist before she can hit Kara.'Bad move... You shouldn't mess with other students. Oh, but if you say that I will then I will make you pay! 11! Lilian talks with a scary calm and serious voice.
The girl try to kick Lilian while she was talking but Lilian catches her leg and throws her. The girl was furious now she runs towards to Lilian. When she was closed, Lilian does a cartwheel with a jump to get away then she pushes her to the ground.
'I would stay on the ground if I were you.' she says to the girl. Then Lilian turns to Kara and asks'Are you okay Kara? then she turns to Gryffindor and asks the same thing to her too.

Kara opened her eyes to see a blurred version of Lilian in front of her. Kara was on the ground, blood dripping from her mouth.
"Yes, I'm fine, I think." she said, dazed.
Kara looked around to find Ariana, but couldn't see her, for her vision was blurred.
"Wait, where's Ariana?!?" She asked in a worried voice.
Kara kept feeling dizzy and she pushed herself up and wiped the blood of the side of her lip.
"I won't stop," she said to the girl "not till you do."
Kara swung a blow at the blurry version of the girl and missed while the girl laughed and punched her right in the side of the cheek.
Kara's vision blurred as her head hit the hard stone ground. She could hear a fuzzy version of Lilian yelling with rage and she watched the two blurs go at one another for a long time, but she still was trying to find Ariana.
"Ariana..." she murmured, not knowing if the Gryffindor girl was there to even hear her "I'm sorry.."
Kara coughed and hacked up blood, her face all bruised and her hair ragged. She felt her eyes glaze over as she slipped into unconsciousness, then, nothing.

*The girl in the RP that flipping beats me to death sorta isn't real and not played by an actual human being, she is just a NPC needed for the RP we planned out, so please don't be mad.

Ariana watched in shock as both girls continued fighting. She wanted to say thank you to the second girl for helping her, but part of her wanted to say that she could defend herself and didnt need any help at all. After all she was a gryffindor wasn't she? A brave and daring lion- she shouldn't need any help! She left the two girls to fight, scowling at the back of their heads, she hated them both although she hated the first one more, I mean how dare she mock her!? Outrageous! She was about to turn on her heel, when another slytherin girl came round the corner, presumably a friend of the second girl as she said, "Bad move... You shouldn't mess with other students. Oh, but if you say that I will then I will make you pay!" The third girl started fighting alondside her friends and then finally the first slytherin girl ran off and the second, stood up, her face slightly bruised, and a cut on her lip. Ariana kind of felt pity for the girl and wanted to help, but they were supposed to be enemies so wasn't it good that she was hurt? Plus her friends seemed to be helping her enough anyways. The girl stared back at her and at last Ariana found the words to say, "Thank you for defending me back there" and then, feeling like she was sounding like defenceless weakling in need of help, she added, "But I can also stick up for myself ya know, just for next time." She smirked to herself, and waited for the slytherin girls response. Then Kara looked dizzy and slowly sunk to the floor, mumbling to herself and her friend bent over her and I heard Kara say " Where is Ariana?" In a slightly worried tone. So she knew my name? I stared confused at whether I should help. Then I saw Kara's head hit the floor as she fainted. I gasped and ran forward instinctively, the other girl looked at me with a mixture of worry and shock. "We need to get her to the hospital wing!" I said desperately. "Umm... I'll get a teacher! Wait here!" Ariana said, and she sped off round the corner.
