Kai had arrived in Diagon Alley that morning, and so far it had been hectic. Her adoptive parents were waiting...somewhere. She didn't really know if they had wandered off, followed her, or stayed by Flourish and Blotts where she had left them. Kai had been craving something sweet, so obviously, she had come to get some ice-cream.
"Kai, mija!" my daughter Kai scowled at the sound of the voice.
"Sí, madre?" Yes, mother? she responded politely, glancing over her shoulder.
"We're going to get some ice-cream too and return to the bookstore, we won't bother you, just wanted to tell you." This time it was her adoptive father who spoke.
Kai sighed and offered a nod. "Fine." Bloody ridiculous, they're adults aren't they? She grumbled internally.
Kai waited for them to get their ice-cream, and once they left, she went up and got her own. Once she had it in her hands, she turned and began to walk, going to sit down while she ate and put off returning to her adoptive parents for as long as possible.
As she walked, her hair fell over her eyes, and she sighed, reaching up to brush away the newly dyed black and green strands. Of course, that meant she wasn't paying attention, and she ran right into someone, her ice-cream going all over whoever it was.
She let out a yelp and a curse. Why does this always happen to me?! With a huff, she raised her eyes to discover who was the victim of her clumsiness.

Maddy had finally been able to shrug off her brothers from her tail. They had been annoying her about.....well about everything, and she was glad for some peace, FINALLY!
She got away and decided to go get some ice-cream with the remaining money she had in her bag. She had used most of it up for her school material and now she could get extras. She was walking like her usual self, her head turned up, looking at the clouds, eating a bag of Bertie Botts when suddenly....
SPLAT!!
She looked down to see herself soaked in....ice-cream? Huh did fate just bring it to her?
She looked up to see a girl with Black and green hair, it was pretty Maddy had to give it that, though the girl looked surprised.
Maddy bit back a laugh and said, " Are you going to say something? Or do I also start pelting you with Beans, I have a feeling I have a boogie flavored one in here."
She knew most people would be mad or upset, and she probably should have been too but she couldn't feel anger, she found this situation hilarious.
She looked at her clothes now filled with Ice-cream " Huh, Guess I am today's special on the menu ." She started laughing and to ease the other girls tension she said, " Don't worry Benny, my brother will be here somewhere, he can fix it up, if not I can ask my mom and dad its all good. ."
She held out her hand which was not covered in ice-cream, " Madeline Faye Tomlinson, Or whatever you want to say, Madeline not preffered though, too long. " She grumbled the last part.
" I was just about to go get Ice-cream, wanna join, seeing as your ice-cream is ermm, my treat lets go." She nodded towards the girl to go, but before she went, she saw a grown up man passing by and said, " Excuse me, do you mind helping out? " The man smiled cleaned her up with the swish of his wand and Maddy smiled to Kai nodding for her to move along.

Kai's mouth was open as she stared at the other girl. Holy crow! She's not mad?! Huh. She's funny. Kai giggled slightly, her eyes lighting up. Her usual anxiety and tension was immediately soothed by this girls humor.
"I mean, I'd deserve a few beans thrown at me," she chuckled.
She eyed the girls extended hand for a minute and bit her lip. Without her wanting to, she blurted, "I'm sorry, I'm...I'm not very comfortable with physical touch. I'm not trying to be rude, but I prefer initiating it until I know you." Immediately her eyes widened and she stared at Madeline, praying she wasn't offended. Quickly, she added, "And it's very nice to meet you, Maddy Faye, my name's Kai Adair Draxon." Oh, Merlin, you already gave her a nickname. She sighed internally.
Kai nodded at the girls offer to get ice-cream. "Yeah, sure," she smiled, watching as the older wizard helped Madeline get clean.
"Adios, mija!" Kai looked up to see her mother waving.
Cringing, she reached out, grabbed Madeline's arm without thinking, and tugging her along, muttering, "Ay, mamá..." Oh, mom She just kept walking, barely realizing she was pulling Madeline, but when she did, she played it off like she had meant to do it, flashing Madeline a mischievous look over her shoulder.

The sky was forming clouds and a wind blew past Maddy as her hair came to her face, she pushed them away getting annoyed, well that came with having short hair. She grew realy frustrated when they would get in her face but if you ask her, short hair are better than having long hair. Warning: Dont even try to argue about it with her.
Disbanding her thoughts she looked over at the girl in front of her when she said she wasn't good with physical touch. Maddy looked over at her outstretched hand then shrugged pulling it back, "No worries, all understandable. You don't know me well so I get it. Are you going to start your first year too? In which school? I asked that cause I think we should get to know each other right? "
She grinned, " Kai Adair Draxon huh? sounds like a royal name.
She mocked bowing to Kai giggling slightly.
Maddy started walking towards the ice-cream shop with Kai close by when she heard someone calling out in Spanish. Maddy knew that language because she was expected to learn it like both her brothers. Their family wasn't that bad or strict in rules or whatever Pure-blood conspiracies, but they valued education and respect. Maddy didnt mind though it would get boring but she would make sentences to cheer her up and if she was lucky she even managed to bring a teensy bitsy smile on her tutors face.
As she was lost in thought she suddenly felt Kai grab her arm and tug her forwards. Maddy was surprised to say the least. Wasn't she not good at physical touch. Maddy grinned as Kai realized what she did and turned to look at her after dropping her arm. She thought the girl was reckless as her and she loved it. Deciding to tease the girl, Maddy spoke, " Well, I thought a certain someone didnt like physical touch but they ended up grabbing my arm to tug me along.
She smirked at Kai and waited for her reply.
