Running Away

Groaning as she drags herself out of bed she looks around. Everyone else is gone, most likely eating down at the great hall. After slowly getting dressed, enjoying the quiet. No girls laughing or chatting. Just peaceful and quiet. She heads down to the great hall taking her time to get there. Sitting down next to a friend she fills up her plate with food she probably wont eat.Word count: 235

Picking at her food, Bree sighs softly. Its been a quiet morning. And a very tiring one already. Surrounded by the constant chats of laughter, she was only reminded of her grandmother. Who is still alive, but has cancer. Sighing once more she puts down her fork and stands up to leave. Slipping out of the great hall, the troubled Gryffindor sits down on the floor in front of the doors, waiting for the bell to ring for she could go. Leaning against the wall she bites back tears. Why oh why did her grandma have to have cancer.
Suddenly the doors to the great hall fly open and a girl comes flying out. The girl rushes past Bree. Getting oly a glimpse at her she could tell that the girl is a Hufflepuff. Wiping her eyes, she stands up and goes after the girl to see if shes alright. Finding her, the younger girl was crying. Gingerly walking towards her, Bree whispers, "Is everything alright?"

Lindsey felt horrible. She thought that everything would be okay once she started learning about magic. She would be too busy to think about Fitz, (Lindsey Bliss brother) but nope. She remembered after she had dashed to the great hall that her brother's birthday was today. It was his birthday. She knew that she remembered but what about Autumn? Did Dylan know too? What about Caitlyn? Did she know that she had an Uncle.
Lindsey ran out of the great hall after everyone started turning their heads in her direction because she couldn't handle the pressure. Lindsey was still shy. After all, she had only been at Hogwarts for about a month. This wasn't like her old school where she was teased though. She had amazing friends that Lindsey shone with. The thought sadly melted away with the fog in Lindsey mind. All she wanted to do was curl into a ball. So.. that exactly what she did. She slid down the wall, curling into a ball, putting her arms on her knees and and head on her arms, sadly crying. Waiting for the chatter to start, Lindsey sat there. All the sudden she heard a girl come up beside her, to her right side exactly. "Are you alright?" The girl asked.
"Yes, I'm okay," Lindsey replied not bothering to lift her head up.

After looking at the stairs for a moment, Bree sits down next to the girl. As shes sitting next to her, the younger girl finally responds and says she's okay. Obviously a lie by how shes sobbing but still. Watching the girl for a moment she understands what the girl is feeling. Not knowing what happened but she understood. After all her grandma is dying. "Did someone die or is dying?" She asks quietly, "If someone did I understand. My grandma..." Bree trails off, not wanting to speak those devilish words out loud. Also this moment is about the girl that's crying. Watching her as she continues to sob the gryffindor begins speaking once more, "I want you to know that even tho we don't know each other, you could talk to me. I hope everything is well in the end if you don't chose too. But speaking with someone about the situation, especially if its stressful, I found out is very very helpful. So I'm here for you if you do need someone here."Word count: 223

The bell rings and students fill the room with laughter and chatter. Looking around and warning off any student who comes near, she silently tries to comfort the girl. Finally Bree speaks again after moments of silence, "I could go if you need me too. And I'm Bree."

Lindsey felt horrible and now a girl was sitting down beside her. Speaking in gentle words, the girl spoke, "Did someone die or is dying?" She asks quietly, "If someone did I understand. My grandma...". Lindsey didn't know how to respond. She never knew someone who felt the same thing she felt before. Her sister, being a mom and wife, never showed her feelings, not...unless it was absolutely necessary.
Lindsey lifted her head gently, looking at the crowds of students and then heard the bell ringing. Turning to the girl on her left side, she studied the girl. The girl, looked concerned and caring. She also noticed the girl was Gryffindor. Gryffindor...met she was brave and daring, unlike Lindsey who to her father's thoughts, was a complete failure. Lindsey shook the thought from her head knowing that she shouldn't be thinking about any of it.
Lindsey answered the girl."I thought about my mom and brother, who had unfortunately passed away on this day, three years ago due too..."Lindsey realized she shared to much info. What if the girl didn't want to know all of that? She really wanted to be friends with the girl but she couldn't if the girl hated her.
Replying to what the girl said, I want you to know that even tho we don't know each other, you could talk to me. I hope everything is well in the end if you don't choose too. But speaking with someone about the situation, especially if it's stressful, I found out is very very helpful. So I'm here for you if you do need someone here."
" Thank you...I love that you actually want to listen... so I'm glad that your here. Right now, it's stressful and sad...and yeah." Lindsey kinda felt shy after what she said. She just admitted a lot and even though it took some pressure off her shoulders, it was hard to here the words coming out of her mouth.
