Potions and Lovestruck Pre-teens PV: Luna Takami

I walked in, early for my class. I preferred to be here early because then, I could get one of the quiet seats in the back of the class that allowed me a perfect 360 view of the room without being exposed. I watched as the Hufflepuff slowly drizzled in, filling out the seats on their side of the class. Just before the bell rand was when my Gryffindor classmates finally made it, a rolling wave of red and gold, 2 brazen and glaringly bright colors. I scowled at my own red-gold attire. I was still miffed that the Sorting Hat placed me here. But no matter, just meant that I now had a reputation for being one of the, and I quote, "Scary Gryffindors.” After all, there’s nothing scarier than a goth who doesn’t want to be there.

I watched in slight amusement as they tried to untangle each other and chose partners. No-one wanted to become mine, which was perfectly fine. Just meant that I had to do the work alone, which I honestly preferred. Today, thankfully, was a theory day. Feeling relief because it meant that I wouldn’t have to deal with exploding potions from my rather incompetent classmates.

I simply couldn't deal with another day of scraping off failed potions off of my robes because I got in the backlash of it.
Halfway through the class however, my quill fell down. The teacher wasn't looking, so I stooped down to grab it.
But before I could, a slender, feminine hand was grabbing it for me and holding it out. I started, then stared at the hand, before slowly looking up.
