| CV | The compliment over his impressive talents registered, but didn’t linger after more than an appreciative shrug. The fact that he was performing for an audience already promised some talent. Without actually seeing him however, anyone could call themselves a dancer. If she were to judge the impressiveness of his interests, she should have seen his show that summer, or heard him sing on stage. For now, she only had the lineup to judge, which, to her young, inexperienced ears, sounded impressive all the same. Graci had a variety of hobbies of her own, though most of them were leisure time activities, rather than interests you could make a career out of. Flute and piano could potentially lead to a future music career, though he suspected Graci wasn’t that serious about her pursuits, favoring fun more than anything. On the topic of her terrible drawing, he chimed in,“With enough practice, I’m sure you’ll move past terrible soon.” Perhaps not great, but you’d have to really be horrible for practice to not pay off at all. While Camille’s interests were partly encouraged and chosen for him with what the future could bring in mind, most families did not push their children in such a direction. At least not from the same age as Camille had been drilled to perfection. It must be nice, he thought briefly. Still, they were all decent hobbies, though he himself wasn't much for reading fiction. Not out of disinterest, the boy simply didn’t have too much time to read for pleasure, even if there surely were good books out there to read. They came to a stop by yet another flight of stairs, this time, Graci intended for him to continue on without her, probably meaning that they lead to only one place: the Ravenclaw common room. Unless, of course, she simply had had enough of walking him through the corridors to waste another minute climbing the stairs at his side. She’d certainly taken him closer than he could have managed on his own, so for that, even if his demands sounded more or less like law, Camille was grateful. “Do you have any favorites? Books, I mean.” He asked before they parted, mostly out of courtesy. With their huge library-compartment back home, the likelihood of him already owning a copy in the library back home, untouched but available nevertheless, was bigger than not. Perhaps he would give it a read, if he was given the spare time. “Yes, I think I’ll manage from here.” Though the corridors could have led to any damned tower in the castle for all he knew. “Thank you, for sparing the time. I would have had to wait until morning if you hadn’t been there, ugh. That would have been awful,” he groaned the last bit with a sigh. Perhaps not quite that dramatic, but spending another few hours wandering the castle sounded like a hell of a way to end his first night. Camille took two steps up the stairs, before glancing over his shoulder and paying her one last curt nod and smile, wishing her a “good night,” then continued up on his own. By then, unbeknownst to himself, the only problem he was facing now, was that the common room was guarded by a password and how he would manage that on his own. |
