Letter to her Mother
Aria had written a long letter to her mum about her first few days at Hogwarts like she promised she would. It detailed the sorting, and how she was slightly upset that she didn't get into Gryffindor, but she was happy with the other Slytherins nonetheless. After all, the hat is never wrong. She was on her way to the Owlery when she bumped into another student. She swore under her breath at first, then apologized profusely. She continued on her way to the Owlery, passing students as she went. Other first-years like her seemed fidgety, while she was walking around, her head held high. After all, she was a Slytherin. Slytherins never cower, or so she thinks. She finally reaches the Owlery after a long walk. She wasn't in a particular rush, but this letter needed to be mailed today. Her mum was a worrier, so she'd turn a screw if she didn't get the letter within a week. Aria looked at the owls surrounding her in the Owlery, and she picked out a strong tawny one since she couldn't afford her own. She pulled out a treat for the owl and a galleon, pay for its travel, though not long, her mum wouldn't let the owl go until she has written a reply back. So for that, she gave the owl an extra galleon and attached the letter to its foot. She opened a window in there and the owl flew off.

Letter to her Mother
Quincy, scroll firmly clutched in hand, made his way up to the Owlery, carrying with himself a great sense of purpose. He had written a strongly worded letter to the editor of the Daily Prophet comprising a list of grammar and spelling mistakes that had been made in a recent article entitled "Twelve Ways to See the Future without a Crystal Ball", written by a little-known Seer.
As Quincy made his way into the Owlery, he noticed that it was already occupied by a girl in his year who he only vaguely recognized. His confidence suddenly vanished, and he halted at the door. Quincy was a bit shy and not known for making friends. And judging by her robes, of all people, she was a Slytherin. While Quincy admired Slytherins' ambition, he also felt a bit intimidated by them.
For a split-second, he considered turning back before the girl noticed him. Perhaps the letter could be sent another day. But then he stopped and realized that he was being silly. He was on a mission to send this message, and he was not about to be stopped just because of a bit of social awkwardness. He walked into the Owlery, avoided the girl's eyes, and started to look at the selection of owls.
