Relaxing By The Lake

With the weekend finally here and Leo’s first week of classes at Hogwarts done, he was excited to get to have a little bit of free time to himself to relax and do something he loved, drawing. After seeing the lake the first night when they arrived at the school for the first time, Leo was inspired to come back out to draw the scenery. He had already gone back to his room to change into more comfortable clothes, a simple black hoodie and sweatpants combo, and grabbed a blanket to sit down on. Laying out the blanket, he straightened it out and sat down, pulling out his regular and colored pencils and drawing pad.
Finally, he thought to himself as he pulled the hood up over his head. There was a lot around that he could use as inspiration to draw, he definitely could see himself making a lot of drawings during his time here at Hogwarts. He hummed to himself as he started sketching the lake and some of the surrounding trees when he noticed a girl sitting nearby on one of the rocks by the lake. With the lake as a backdrop, her sitting there was the perfect idea for him to draw. He started right away while the inspiration was there to sketch out the scene, careful to get as many details as he could in. His parents were never fond of his art but Leo loved it and he was really good for his age, even his tutors, friends and his grandmother complimented him on his artwork over the last few years. It was enough to keep him going but he enjoyed it first and foremost, it was something he could do just for him.

Relaxing By The Lake
Following her arrival at Hogwarts, Elizabeth had had a very tiring week. Between memorizing the complete castle layout, homework, and lessons, and avoiding her two older brothers as much as possible, Elizabeth hadn't had much time to rest. Fortunately, the weekend had finally arrived, giving the young girl some rest. Taking advantage of the rather dry weather, she decided to head to the large lake, which she had seen when she first arrived. But first, she had to change, so she put on a long, pale blue dress. It matched her eyes and went very well with her long, curly blond hair. She went outside, and Elizabeth walked towards the lake. She sat on a rock near the water. Listening to the lapping of the water, Elizabeth began to sing softly while braiding her long hair. It was then that she felt a presence not far from her. Elizabeth turned around and saw a young boy, he must have been the same age as her. From a distance, Elizabeth had the impression he was writing or drawing. To be sure, the young girl stood up and walked over to the boy. He was wearing a hoodie and was drawing. Elizabeth approached him and asked kindly:
"-It's pretty, how do you draw so well?"

Leo quickly did the rough sketch for the drawing and then began cleaning it up, erasing any imperfections. Once he was satisfied with the sketch he started adding some colors to it. He had gotten so into the drawing process that he didn’t notice the subject he had been drawing was now looking over his shoulder at the drawing. Leo nervously looked down at the drawing, suddenly feeling embarrassed for some reason that he had been caught drawing the stranger without permission or anything. He was happy, however, that she liked what he had done so far.
He cleared his throat and looked back up at the girl, “Thank you, it’s not done yet so it will be prettier once I finish the coloring.” He said and held it up better to show her. “I’m not that good compared to some others I know. I really don’t have any good tips for drawing but it just takes practice. Just keep drawing more and more and you will learn as you go.” Leo nodded and reached his hand up to her. “I’m Leo by the way, first year, what about you?” He asked the girl, from her height and looks she seemed to be around his age he guessed. “I hope you don’t mind I used you as the subject for the drawing but it was a nice picture from here with the background so.”
