Letters to Liam Solo Closed

Dear Liam,

I know what you would tell me to do. You would tell me to get out there and start doing stuff. Meet people, get part of a club, have fun, go to parties. I am just scared of what people will think of me. Or if they would become something that would hold me back. Its just worry that I have. My grades are hard to keep up. They have a weird system of grading. I have the equivalent of B's in all of my classes. It really stresses me out.

I still do all of my work in the library. I do a lot of reading. They have a bunch of cool animals that I have never heard about that I can do research on. Like how I did the poster thing on Axolotls. I have been doing that to house elves, dragons, hags, and all sorts of critters. There are this cute fluffy things that the headmaster keeps, they are cool. I can send you some of my work if you would like.

I really haven't met anybody. There are no boys, you are still my favorite. There are a lot of older kids. This school basically goes up to twelfth grade. It is sometimes really daunting.

It is always rainy here. Apparently ever the summers are overcast. We were hoping it would be tropical. It is defiantly not. Supposedly it snows a lot here. And the snow is really fluffy. There is a big courtyard that gets covered. And there is a traditional snowball fight that lasts the whole season. I look forward to anything besides storms.

I still haven't heard back from you. I want to send this with some of my artwork. I do a lot of sketching in my spare time. I have nothing to do because there is no wifi or internet connection here. I think people have defiantly tried. So I just do art all of the time. I will leave my best dog with this letter.

Dear Liam,

Sorry I haven't wrote to you at all. I have been super busy. You would be proud, I have met people! I have been super involved and have done a lot of stuff. I have been keeping a record of all of the things I have been doing. I forgot to send a picture in my last letter, so I will send two in this one. Ok, so what I have done.

I met a quiet and kind of rude girl in the library, but she complemented me in my Astronomy. She really turned out to be not that bad I guess, I met her one time since then. I plan on becoming friends with her. She isn't the nicest person I have met though.

I have been able to help around the school some. I got paid some money to clean around the lake. It was a lot of work, but it was fun. I did some work with a shy girl later. She seemed pretty nice, we both ended up cutting ourselves. I also managed to get myself covered in garbage with a spell that went wrong. You would have been really proud.

I met some people that are in my house. They woke me up when they went through our common room at night. I particularly nice one, Alyssa Warren. Met me in the library the next morning. She offered for me to join her family this summer. I declined because I wanted to find you. She was really nice though.

Then, the summer began. The days lengthened. It was still rainy though. I was part of a summer camp. I was even the leader of a cabin of four people. The people were: me, Thora Larkston, Saskia Nicholson, and Lamik Fillestar. I also went to the lake and swam where a girl almost drowned. Then there was a barbeque. I met a few people, but I don't remember who, because I didn't write down their names.

On my birthday I met a girl named Thora again. She seems like somebody I could be friends with. You would tell me to hurry up and befriend her, but she seems wary of me for some reason. She felt bad that I was alone on my birthday. I got no presents, so it was kinda depressing.

I really miss you and I still haven't heard back from you. I am now beginning to forget the sound of your voice and the smiles on your face. Here is the list of questions: How are you? Dear Liam,

Why don't you respond to these! I miss you so much and you are the only person here that would understand me! I am sorry if you think this is rude. I don't mean it like that. I just want my baby brother back. Aw, man. If you heard my tears every night. The times I write and rewrite these letters to make sure it is perfect. I spend more time pretending that I am with you than even living this life I am in.

I finally met a few other guys. I met a loud first-year, in one of the study rooms. He seemed nice enough I guess. I met this other boy during a tea party in the common room. He was really nice, and I think I liked him some. I'm not sure about it all though. He reminded me some of you, always joking around. You would be interested to know that I met him by spilling tea on him. He had a brother that was adopted.

Anyways. I was part of a game of magical dodgeball. I used a spell to take the wand out of someone's hand. I also blinded someone with green sparks and make a cloud of smoke on the other side. I suppose I won since I never got out. It was a lot of fun.

I met the Bridget girl again. She was in a predicament with a lot of angry older kids that were beating her up. I was able to bandage a nasty cut and make a friend at the same time. It was refreshing to help someone out. I wish I new some magical spells to heal things because that really would have helped.

Anyways I think I lost the friendship with the Thora girl. I freaked out and cast a spell that knocked her back. She hit her head on a library shelf. Now she hates me and is terrified of me. I was really sad because I thought she would become my friend. Now that I lost her I spend a lot of my time alone. I am afraid I will hurt someone else on accident too. She doesn't know it, but I cried a lot over all of the pain I caused her. I cried every night for almost a month. I almost considered her a friend before I messed everything up.

It has been a long month. There is also an exchange program going on. I was paired with a student from the United States. We didn't talk much though. There is a masked ball happening later this month. I'm not taking a date, but I figured you would be interested to know that I am going to dress up.
