Is It True?
@Yeji Ahn
She paused her searching, deciding that there was indeed nothing. Either that, or they had covered their tracks pretty well. She shrugged, listening to the Yeji's question as she sat on a nearby table, facing the girl.
"No, not really," She sighed softly, before continuing, "It was all fiction books, so not even trustworthy in the first place. But they seemed as though they could technically work in real life. And they have, sometimes. Although, admittedly, never in a classroom setting. You're probably right, too many students, too much chaos and whatnot." Her legs gently dangled, swishing to and fro.
She watched as the girl continued to look through some items, before flopping onto the ground. She smiled softly, feeling similar to the girl. It was a lot of imaginative freedom, with no real world results. Just the perfect thing to let some 11-12 year olds down.
"Well, it was just a rumor." She shrugged, before hopping off of the table to draw closer to the girl. She promptly sat down, still facing the girl, her smile easy and calm.
"Did you have any cool ideas for what it could've been? After all, it could still be hidden by magic." She was pretty sure it wasn't, but didn't want to let the other girl down that much. Plus, it's fun to think of interesting ideas.

[quote][quote]Fiddling with her hair, Yeji thought about Teiki's question. Her idea of there being kidnapped or dead students was obviously false, for there wouldn't be a rumor if it were true. She didn't have anything to respond with so Yeji sat up and faced Teiki, giving her the first answer that came to mind."Maybe the passage holds a valuable treasure. Probably a super rare gem or something." The day left her tired, and Yeji laid back down on the floor. "What do you think the passage was?"
Yeji would get up and begin walking around the room as one last attempt to figure out the rumor. She checked very lazily and decided there was nothing left to do. Yeji sat down at one of the desks, but she still believed the passage existed; it had to be somewhere in the school. Back when she lived in Seoul, Yeji heard an old man once say that all rumors and stereotypes are based on some sort of truth. She looked towards Teiki with an exciting look on her face "Let's come back here together in the future. Maybe we'll have better luck then." Though she was unsuccessful, Yeji started to think if there were any other rumors. She personally hasn't heard any, but maybe Teiki did. "Do you know any other interesting rumors?" she asked.

"Ooh, that would be cool." She shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe like the restricted section of the library. It might contain a map of the secret passageways within Hogwarts. That would be interesting, and quite informative." She once again shrugged, the entire aura of this exploration being casual, calm, and tired. Yeji seemed to have had a long day, or just let down. She wasn't sure, but enjoyed talking to the other girl. She seemed quite calm and intelligent.
"Sure, that sounds like fun." And it did. Maybe she would have some time to research if her methods actually worked. They sounded like they would in theory, but perhaps not practice. Especially at a school with a bunch of excited and crazy students. Not to mention, 7 different grades in one building. Sure, it was large, but still... A lot of people.
"Oh! That's a good question." She thought for a moment, before glancing apologetically at the girl. There was one, but it was only for Gryffindors, so she wasn't sure why Raven had told her. But it didn't matter anymore. She wouldn't spread it any further.
"Sorry, not off of the top of my head." She blushed from the lie, although it could've been assumed that she was blushing simply because she didn't remember. She was watching her lap for a few moments, but then glanced back up at the girl.
"Well, I have nothing else to explore right now. Meet up another time?" She would soon be leaving, although she decided to give Yeji a small-ish warning.

[quote][quote]Teiki had a cool idea, Yeji thought. A map of secret passageways, now that for sure sounded like something plausible. Yeji was in a good mood again, and she was really in the mood to solve a rumor. She was rather disappointed that Teiki did not have any other rumors to share, and just a little surprised she had to leave; Yeji just got caught up in the current moment.
Yeji had a great idea that popped into her mind that she wanted to share real quick. She figured it would be the best way to learn about other rumors, solve them, and meet new people: starting a club. As far as Yeji was concerned, there was no club dealing with rumors, paranormal activity, or even secrets. It would be a genius plan, and it would bring a lot of fun as well. She even had the perfect name for the club: The Investigations Club.
Getting up from the desk, Yeji waddled towards Teiki and placed her hands on her shoulders. "We should start a club. The Investigations Club. We could go around solving rumors for people, meet new people, and have fun. If you want to start one that is."

She waited, watching Yeji. The other girl seemed to be happier, not nearly as put down as she was before. She listened to the words, pausing to get a grasp on the idea. Then, she grinned, bouncing up to run over to her backpack. It had been discarded on the side of the classroom, although quite manageable to get to. She ruffled through it, the rustling of books and papers. Finally, she extended her arms upwards, showing her prize...
A blank sheet of paper.
She quickly grabbed the ink and quill, as well, muttering something about pencils and messes. Her long strides easily found the girl in front of Yeji once more, using a nearby table to help scrawl words onto the paper. It simply read, “The Ivestigations Club”, although there was room for the many other useful notes and ideas.
Realizing that she hadn’t spoken for a while, she added, “That’s so cool!” But apparently that wasn’t enough for the Hufflepuff. She continued, “So, it would be a club to solve rumors that we’ve heard. But., in order for others to know about the results, we could create a... mini newspaper? Full of our results and observations. And if we don’t hear of a rumor, we could just meet up and ‘practice’ or figure out what works and what doesn’t.” She nodded, before adding, “What do you think?” She paused, finally letting Yeji talk once more.

[quote][quote]Yeji watched as Teiki moved around the classroom. She was confused as to what Teiki was doing, and she watched as the Teiki pulled out a sheet of paper and began writing on it. Yeji felt a little overwhelmed with Teiki's sudden excitement; seems they weren't too different. Teiki's ideas were interesting, and Yeji's interest grew as well. "I think a mini-newspaper could work, maybe it could be a monthly thing. Maybe we could set up a submission box for rumors." It seems Yeji was slowly finding her place here in Hogwarts, hopefully the two's plan would turn out to be a great idea.
Alot of time had passed, and Yeji finally realized she had to get back to her dorm. She had forgotten she only came back to the classroom to grab her trunk; she hoped she wouldn't be scolded by her prefects for being out too long. Yeji walked over to the desk that she set her trunk down and picked it up. "It was fun being here, but I have to head back. Hopefully, we can start our club in the near future; there will be a rumor we can solve!" Yeji jumped up and down childishly. After letting out a chuckle, she made her way to the door and waved goodbye. She was unsure whether she could refer to Teiki as a friend, but she felt closer than just a mere acquaintance.
