✽The grounds of Hogwarts could always be confusing. Especially for younger students. Avery would never forget the first time she had stepped onto the grounds as a young first year trying her best to fit in and find where she belonged. She was a different person now. Older. Wiser. She guessed that's what a revealing summer and becoming a teen did to a girl.
That first day at Hogwarts would never leave her mind. The day was sunny and bright with few clouds dotting the sky. She had stood there. Alone. Unknowing as to what was to come for her in the school year. The campus was large to her eyes. Almost as large as some of the gardens and fields Avery had seen whenever her parents took her to pure blood events.
She hadn't known where to go or what to do. Being a first year, she had only heard stories and what her father had told her about the school. Of course when anything becomes reality, it's never the same as experiencing it yourself.
That's when she noticed something. A girl. A first year by the look of her. She seemed lost, just like Avery had been her first time being on the grounds. Avery smiled. Knowing the feeling all too well. That's when an idea came to her mind. A most likely crazy idea, but she brushed that off. Only focusing on one thing.
Avery walked up to where the girl was. She didn't get too close in case the girl wanted space, but she was close enough that the girl could easily hear her. "Are you lost?" Avery asked.
