Celings and Secrets

Ellie walked through the halls aimlessly. It was her free time after classes and before dinner. She hadn't explored much of the castle yet and had decided now was the time to do so. Ellie used to live in the forest behind her mom's house, practically, and Hogwarts was almost a forest of its own. The paintings were her favorite, and she made small talk with a couple of the friendlier ones. Ellie had no clue where she was at this point and stopped in front of a statue of a frog. Seeing the frog, her coordinates on the mental map were instantly visible.
”This is the entrance to the Headmaster's office….” she whispered to herself. Ellie wanted to avoid any awkwardness that would ensue if anyone were to come across her loitering by the entrance. She did not know the password either, so she kept going down the hallway. She wasn't sure if anyone was in the office; even if there wasn't, she definitely wasn't brave enough yet to try and break in; not to mention, Ellie had not had a single detention yet, and was uncertain about how harsh the professors actually were. As she was leaving, deep in thought, she made the mistake of looking up. The ceiling was beautiful; she hadn't looked at the ceilings yet of the castle, as ceilings tend to easily slip her mind. She wondered if other people had that problem too.
